Written by the Fed Chairman in St Loius who authored the seminal "Money is Memory" paper scribbled this editorial article in Bloomberg view.

With central banksters like this, it validates the need for Bitcoin.  When they squeeze freedoms by pretending to do the opposite, it only makes our case for adopting Bitcoin stronger.

This is a travesty of justice and is a bad ruling for Bitcoin in USA

Within the judges ruling:

"Congress has been permitted “to create a money monopoly, with full powers to outlaw any and all competing
currencies . . . .”

" and if anyone, individual or State, assumes to supplant the medium of exchange adopted by our Government,
or assumes to compete with the United States Government in this regard, a violation of these statutes would follow"

The sentencing hearing will be on December 2nd.
This is the first political prisoner for alternative currency in the USA with not even any allegation of money laundering or any of the more esoteric legal arguments used, merely challenging the authority of the Fed in the issuing of an alternative currency to the US Dollar.


Edit:  I'm sure Bernard would appreciate any support from us.  I just spoke with him on the phone.  It is not a good time.
It also further underscores the wisdom of Satoshi in remaining anonymous.

Matt Miller is going to buy a bitcoin via localbitcoins.com and do the transaction on TV as part of the show, and then do something with it every day for 12 days.  He tried Coinbase and was daunted.  None of the people on the show have much understanding of bitcoin and there is quite a bit of misinformation, but this is one of the most widely viewed financial news in the USA.

“It’s a bubble,” Greenspan, 87, said today in a Bloomberg Television interview from Washington. “It has to have intrinsic value. You have to really stretch your imagination to infer what the intrinsic value of Bitcoin is. I haven’t been able to do it. Maybe somebody else can.”

The man who was the most wrong about everything in economics with the possible exception of every other Fed chief says Bitcoin is a bubble and has no intrinsic value.
We must be on to something here.
