21  Bitcoin / Legal / Is it legal to offer bitcoin to moneypak exchange service? on: June 07, 2013, 02:29:21 AM
I've heard mixed opinions in this area. Any educated opinions on the subject would be appreciated.

If it isn't legal, how are other sites operating without problem?

25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How long would it take to generate someones address? on: June 04, 2013, 07:15:43 AM
Saying we put together all the computing power in the world.. how long..?  Grin

Seems like within 100 years, even 10, 20, etc. it could be possible with how we keep doubling in computing power every year or so..

I understand we could as a community fix an issue like this, but just curious..  Tongue

Oh also, how many possible addresses can we have?

27  Economy / Services / I would like to play poker on PokerStars, Canada resident needed, 10% on: June 03, 2013, 05:45:22 AM
I use to play poker semi-professionally on FullTiltPoker until the DOJ in the USA ruined online poker play for US residents. Progression towards getting online poker "legal" and "regulated" has gone at snails pace for 2+ years now. Some poker sites exist where they allow US players, but they are very shady, use crap software and if you want to withdraw it would take months if you are lucky. The main issue though is they just don't have the player base the top poker sites have, that is why I need to play on PokerStars.

Essentially I would send you money through BTC and you would create an account on PokerStars using a VPN/proxy IP I would provide and pay for that is located in Canada. You would need to use your legal legitimate information, otherwise the account would get frozen and it would be impossible to ever withdraw funds.

I am in need of someone who could do this, and someone who doesn't play poker so we wouldn't have conflicts. You would receive 10% of anything I withdraw, though I will be starting very small, around $50 to grind upwords from the microstakes. It is VERY important that you would never play poker on this account, at least until we retire our deal.

I use to play 16-20 games of poker at one time (penny games working upword) and turned my $50 roll into $2k+.

I will only do this with someone very trusted and we will need to exchange phone numbers, etc.

Please post here if you are interested.

Thanks!
28  Economy / Gambling / Starting lottery pool - PowerBall - All welcome to join! on: May 28, 2013, 05:19:40 AM

CURRENT ESTIMATED JACKPOT: 40 million

I'm starting a lottery pool if anyone would be interested in participating.

For those of you who don't know what Powerball is, it is a lottery in the USA - www.powerball.com

Powerballs are drawn every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

The numbers can be in any order, view here for detailed info - www.powerball.com/powerball/pb_prizes.asp

Each ticket cost $2

Depending on how many tickets you buy will depend on how much of the winning prize you will get. For example, if we have 10 people in the pool, you buy 1 ticket then you'll get 10% of the money won. If you had 5 tickets, you would get 50% of the money won, etc.

To play simply send $2 x the amount of tickets you want to this address:
15FuLb2V2WNmtsLgJZZTg1gvxRBtQyqqC6

ONE TICKET = (updated instantly)

I will take pictures of every ticket bought and post them here.

Example:

Any prizes won below $10 will be kept as a fee. All larger prizes ($100+) will be divided up and sent to each BTC address. To keep things clean, I will generate a new BTC address each time for every new lottery drawing that you send to. So for example you could view the current address here --> https://blockchain.info/address/15FuLb2V2WNmtsLgJZZTg1gvxRBtQyqqC6

All lottery numbers will be chosen at random to keep things simple.

=================================================

Current tickets bought: 1 (mine) (I will be buying some Wednesday)

30  Other / Beginners & Help / I forgot I had around .6 BTC in my wallet from a year ago.. on: May 27, 2013, 08:37:27 AM
Being a lurker I've bought and sold bitcoin in the past, when I stepped away from BTC for months and months I had left around $2 in BTC on my wallet and now launching the client I'm happy to see that I have over $50+ in BTC.

BTC never seems to stop growing in value.  Grin
31  Other / Beginners & Help / Planning to start a lottery pool for powerball.. Who finds this interesting? on: May 27, 2013, 08:26:48 AM
I buy powerball a lot on a weekly basis and always wanted to start a lottery pool, then I figured it might be a cool idea to do it with bitcoin. Who would be interested in this? I'm thinking the only "fees" I would charge would be small winnings under $10 and payouts would be based on how many tickets you buy.

So if 10 tickets are bought total, you buy 5 and it gets hit, you get 50%.

I think this would be fun.  Grin

I have been following bitcoin for a couple years now and finally decided to join this community.

I plan to watch bitcoin grow further. Smiley
