Backstory
In August 2017, I was eager to automate the cryptocurrency trading but had no idea what to start with. A year later, I managed to figure it out from scratch. Now I’ve got a lot of useful information for those who want to automate the strategy, choose a trading bot or maybe just break the mess.
Look, there are no 100% profitable autonomous bots, which you can launch and leave on their own. You have to create a trading strategy and control it in any market change. Bots will eliminate most of the routine and emotional decisions. You should remember its not a magic crystal ball that will make perfect trades every time. But it can be.
I’d like to know it at the beginning:
1. The simpler the bot is, the more it loses during drawdowns
2. If you are guaranteed a profit, it is a Ponce scheme in 99.9% cases
3. On a bull market, almost any bot trades in plus. In the fall of 2017, everyone was a successful ICO investor, trader and crypto startupper. And what happened after the correction, you already know
4. The bot runs on a VPS faster more and reliably than on a local device
I started with the review on Medium. Got positive feedback and so much questions from people all around the world. That was actually great, after that I corrected the mistakes for another month))
