1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Ordering from Baikal on: June 02, 2018, 08:31:31 AM
hello everyone,

I was thinking about ordering some miners from Baikal. Since I have a company I want to order by bank transfer with USD since it seem little less risky than playing with crypto but every mail that they send me is getting worse and worse. these are the terms they send me

Kindly note:

1.we will have to receive exact amount with contract on our bank account, please bear all bank transaction fee by your side.
2. From now on, Within 2 business days you have to send payment  proof  back to us. Or order will be automatically cancelled.
3.  From now on, Within 5 business days we have to receive your payment in our Bank account, or order will be automatically cancelled.
4.  Please note full payment should be made within one  transaction  ,or we will not recognize and accept that order
5. Please note do not transfer to us by any other currency but only USD dollar.
6. Kindly note once the payment is completed, it can not be returned.

If I understand them correctly if I send them the money and they don't receive it in 5 days I will lose the money and get nothing in return. All seems too risky to me.

So I want to ask if anyone has any experience ordering from them and If someone receive what they paid for in return? what do you think?

Thank you for your answers!

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Lost some coins, maybe someone could help me... on: March 13, 2018, 03:31:19 PM
Hello,

About 3 days ago I lost 208 deviant coins worth about 300$ at the current price and can not figure out what happened so maybe someone here could help me. I had around 370 coins in my wallet that were staking since Devian coins are POS. I hade some urgent bills to pay so I decided to sell some and here the problem begins.

I want to send some coins to the exchange but as soon as I pressed send the wallet crashed it was a runtime error or something. I backup my wallet and try it on 2 different computers but the problem was the same it crashed the wallet. I ask the devs but they said that only I have the problems like this and most of the time they were just ignoring me. Since I did not want to lose this money I was thinking there is a probable problem with the broken wallet.dat file that I tried on different computers and crashed the wallet. So I exported my private key from the wallet. and download a fresh and latest wallet. I imported the private key but I had only 209 of my 370 coins in the wallet. I said ok let's see if I could at least send some coin out so I sent 1 coin to the exchange and it was successful but still 170 coins are missing so I put my old wallet.dat file back and here the strange thing happened. All coins were there but I saw a strange transaction was made to an unknown address with 208 coins, this is the amount that was in the wallet when I input my private key. I closed the wallet and open again and the 208 coins were missing.

The transaction was made at the exact same time when I send 1 coin for test and what I don't understand how was it possible to send coins in the same transaction. I just can't figure it out what happened. I don't think I was hacked since the coins are still at that address. I don't understand how can I send coins to 2 addresses at the same time on 1 transaction. I cant find the transaction on deviant block explorer it was there yesterday but I can't find it today.

Does the wallet automatically creates a new address and send coins there if you input your private key?

Transaction ID: 697425819925a6ce152eefd9acefcc87a6e24e2d457c02ad3fa3417015ffd86f-001

I know that the coins are probably lost but I just want to know where I made a mistake.

Thank you all for your help...

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Beginner question about building a mining rig on: January 24, 2018, 11:21:17 AM
hello, I'm starting to build mining rigs myself, I know how to connect everything and to work with BIOS but I would have some beginner questions:

1. Do I need to set the grounding for the rack that I'm putting the components on and if yes how do you do it?

2. I have metal racks that I will build my rig on so what do you put under the components so they are not in touch with the metal or is this not a problem and you just put them directly on.

3. What are the most optimal setting for GTX 1070 ti and GTX 1080 ti that you use in afterburner (memory clock, core clock, power usage...) so they run optimally.

4. Any other tips and tricks and situation that I should be aware of?

Thank you for you answerers.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / GTX 1070 ti problem on: January 14, 2018, 01:20:14 PM
Hello,

I have an 8x MSI 1070 ti armour rig. Everything was working great but now I see that one of the GPUs is doing 20% less than other GPUs, its the first one on my rig. And when I turn the miner off every card is working at 0 but this one is jumping up and down. The graph on afterburner is strait on other card but on this one card is a mess.

Had anyone had a similar problem?

Thank you for your help

I'm new to mining and I was thinking is there any page where you can see the new altcoins coming out by the date. If I understand minig right if you start mining when the coin come out the difficulty is low-you can make some profit and mine lot of coins since  I have only 2 gpu setup for now...

Please correct me if im wrong

Thank you for your answer
