Scammers and square closing my account didn't make this venture last long

45  Other / Beginners & Help / Electrical help on: February 23, 2014, 08:18:17 AM
I have a spare 30 amp 2 pole breaker I would like to use as a dedicated mining circuit for my garage. My idea is to run 240v to a NEMA L6-30R receptacle. Then to a pdu, and then to my rigs. Am I right in thinking I need one of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0093WFT6G/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for each of my psu's to connect to the pdu? Also, because I am running 240v does this mean my amps per rig will be less? Say a 1200 watt rig, connected to 120v, runs at  about 11 amps. That same rig would run at 5 amps on 240v.
So a 30 amp breaker at 120v could safely run about 2 * 1200 watt rigs, while that same 30 amp breaker at 240v could about 5 * 1200 watt rigs. Is this correct? I am unsure which pdu I would need, as I know nothing about them. Any adice would be appreciated.

51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Change all pools login info ASAP on: January 13, 2014, 08:57:58 PM
I'm pretty sure this all started on Pickaxe's coinye pool. I have noticed several users complaining of this. I used the same pass for the pickaxe coinye pool, coin army's usde pool and I guess happyminer's 42 coin pool. I think that's all but honestly I dont remember. With all the fail pools at launches there are too many logins to remember if I reused any anywhere else. So far I have lost about 30,000 usde and the big one is .0015 [42].  I am going to start using lastpass for all of my pool logins. There's an active scammer out there emptying pool accounts. I've lost over .2 btc and it sucks. You live and learn I guess.

53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Pickaxe Pool Scammers!!! on: January 13, 2014, 12:28:45 PM
First signed up with pickaxe for coinye west. I didn't have any coinye coins stolen but that was the first pool I signed up with. The pool didn't work for a few hours after launch so I switched pools. Yesterday I signed up at coin army's pool for usde. I reused the username and pass that I did for pickaxe coinye west pool. I know I shouldnt have, but with so many pools it's hard not to resuse sometimes. That was the only other time I reused those credentials. My PC is not infected, I know it's not coin army. I know my info was not brute forced. There was no sqli breach. It was pick axe pool owners plain and simple. They changed my withdraw account on coin army's usde pool and stole 3,815 usde from me. Here is the lamers usde address GcAxeAgBnDgaDnG18r4F2WgmRiNGtGBDF4. Notice the Axe vanity address to? Just noticed that when I posted it, lol.
