1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Where coins get to if there is a malicious validator? on: October 04, 2018, 03:49:12 PM
Hi. I read some stuff about PoS and how it will look like. I know that if a validator act in some malicious manner their stake will be taken away. The only thing I don't understand is where all the coins go to if there is a malicious validator? Frozen, burned or divided equally among other validators maybe?
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Is it possible to tamper with the last block? on: March 04, 2018, 03:10:50 PM
Well, as it's known, every block has a hash pointer pointing to the hash of a previous block. Suppose we have block 1, block 2 and block 3. Block 3 has a hash pointer to the hash of the block 2, the block 2 has a hash pointer to the hash of the block 1. That means that in order to change any data in the block 1 or 2, it requires to change block 3. It seems very hard and the difficulty increases drastically with every new block added to the blockchain. But how hard is it to change just one last block while there is no hash pointer pointing to it? Suppose the block 3 has been mined mined just now and the block 4 hasn't been mined yet. Is there a chance to tamper with the block 3?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Can this project become the next big thing? on: December 20, 2017, 06:02:39 PM
I think Neurogress  can be the next big thing in a year. Personally, I haven't seen anything like this.  They develop software to let us control things with our brains. Such technologies can be used by people with disabilities who lost their limbs, to help them use artificial limbs and control them with their mind. It also can be used for entertainment. We can play games and our character would move when we think about it (always dreamed of it). Or we can control any other machinery. There are so many ways to implement this it's even hard to think about it. Of course, it's not the first project of its kind. There were other projects which developed neural interfaces but they are either cost tens of thousands dollar or can not be used to achieve complex objectives or need too much equipment so no avarege person could use it in real life situation. That's why I think neurogress will be a game changer in this field. They can actually bring those technology to masses.

What is your opinion about this whole thing? Looking forward to hearing from you.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is there any promising ICO? on: December 14, 2017, 10:19:39 AM
Hi, do you know any promising ICO in real estate? What do you think in general about crypto and real estate together? I found a very promising ICO, their idea is to back crypto with real estate. This is a great idea since real estate has shown that it's stable and profitable over the years. It also gives a coin an intrinsic value. And they have a competent team with known advisors who have been involved in other successful ICOs like Quantstamp. You can find them here on Bitcointalk, by the way.
I also heard of RxEAL. Maybe it can have a success too, idk.

So if you have any thoughts on this or have any other promising ICO to suggest(preferably in real estate), please share it here  Smiley
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoin, alts or ICO? on: December 12, 2017, 06:14:07 PM
So that's basically the question. How much of your funds are allocated to BTC, alts and ICOs.

As for me, I keep more than a half in Bitcoin and Ethereum. Then about 30% in other promising alts: Monero, Dash, IOTA, EOS, Litecoin, Cardano, Veritaseum, NEO, Waves, Ark.

And about 5-10% I spend on ICOs. The last ICO I decided to participate is Zabercoin. I think it's gonna be huge. Unique idea, strong team and great advisers who also advised such hype projects like Quantstamp, Polymath and some more.

What do you think of my portfolio, any ideas?

6  Other / Off-topic / Why people want easy money scaming other people? on: December 10, 2017, 09:52:03 PM
Why are people behaving unfairly? Just today I've read an article about a scammer who threatened to give a bad review to an ICO if they won't pay him for good review. And it seems this kind of scam is becoming popular: http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/12/08/ico-scammers-new-cybercriminal-breed/
It becomes really hard to distinguish where a good and bad project is because of such people. I believe that those guys are not at all scammers. So why do you think people don't want to earn money fairly? That is what our society needs. How do you think, will we ever see a world where all people are honest and fair?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Are my bitcoins safe if I don't split them? on: December 10, 2017, 08:50:35 PM
I'm really concerned about my money. Can I send my bitcoins to anyone without risk of losing my bitcoins? As I understand If i send my bitcoins, then someone can claim only my bitcoin diamond?
Also, what happens if I send my bitcoin to my own another address, can some still steal my bitcoin diamond?
I can't fully understand how replay attack works. Hope the community can help figure it out  Smiley

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why would anyone do such a scam? on: December 10, 2017, 08:17:56 PM
Stumbled across this news: http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/12/08/ico-scammers-new-cybercriminal-breed/
The thing is someone threatened to give a bad review on ICO if they refuse to pay him for a good review. Well, they refused, and the guy started to call them a scam. I'm pretty sure they are not. But anyway, why would anyone do such a thing? Waste their time to do bad to others? I mean his time could be used better than that.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Should I invest in those ICOs? on: December 08, 2017, 09:50:41 AM
Hello, everyone. I’ve been into crypto for a while and would like to participate in ICO. I know it’s risky but I have some funds I can afford to lose. I was researching a lot of ICO lists and it was very hard to find something I was interested in. There are a lot of good ICOs out there. Here are the 3 ICOs that I would like to participate but can’t decide what I should go for. I sorted them according to what I consider the best.

1. Zabercoin. It’s an asset backed cryptocurrency. Those guys aim to provide a crypto which is actually backed by real physical assets like real estate. I also like how they want to utilize the act 13 sex of income tax

2. DropDeck. This is a project which wants to combine AI with Blockchain to improve the way fundraising works.

3. LevelNet. Peer to peer cyber protection network.

So what are your ideas about these ICOs. What would you recommend? If you have some other suggestion, please let me know
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Can anyone recommend an exchange without verification? on: December 07, 2017, 07:51:33 PM

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why Ethereum uses gas on: November 30, 2017, 08:33:54 PM
Well, I know that it has fixed gas limits for a particular operation but the gas price still varies. So why we need all these complications? Why not use ETH for transactions? Gas price and gas limit cost some Ethereum anyway, right? They are not separate currencies?
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Noob trader. Need help on: November 18, 2017, 11:11:05 AM
Hi, everyone. let's assume I have $100 I can afford to lose, what can I trade more profitable, bitcoin or ethereum and other relatively stable altcoins? as I understand I need to pay big transaction fees every time I trade bitcoin, am I rigth?
13  Economy / Exchanges / Bitsquare exchange on: November 17, 2017, 07:52:23 PM
Does anybody trade on this exchange? Always hear names like Coinbase, Kraken, Bittrex. But came across this and thinking of using it. What do you think of this exchange? It's decentralized and private, so why people don't trade there?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ELM5 How Steemit pays off on: November 07, 2017, 06:43:41 PM
Hey, guys. I'm struggling to understand the paying concept of Steemit. You can write posts, comments, upvote and all that for free, right? Then how come you can earn money oot of this? Who pays you Huh If people don't spend where are money coming from
