Hi there,
For today my problem is:
When running two GPUs they cant be set with argument -f0, because GPU usage drops to around 80/93%. Im wondering, if there is something wrong with my rig or its common problem.
Spec: XP sp3 C2D E7400 @2.8GHz Gigabyte P31-ES3G CC 11.4 SDK 2.1 (same problem with 2.4) poclbm (poclbm with phatk, phoenix got this problem even bigger) GPU1: 5850 Xtreme -f30 -r5 currently avg 380MHash while both cards running, solo 387MHash (on same '-f') GPU2: 5870 Vapor -f2 -r5 currently avg 419MHash while both cards running, solo 435MHash (on same '-f')

As I found out there is new poclbm version (17 June). Whats new: Supporting backup server (YaY). Thing is, that this version is not compiled. Can someone write little tutorial how-to ?? New poclbm is available at: https://github.com/m0mchil/poclbmJust making big advertisement of it.

Have new problem.
Added second card to my rig. Now have 5850 on PCI-e 16 and 5870 on PCI-e 1. Cant change places of cards, cuz getting lower hashrate if 5870 is in higher slot... Even now I have to use higher -f values (-f40 for main card and -f2 for second one), cuz otherwise main card is working at around 60% and other around 90-95%. Any idea how to solve it?
XP CC 11.4 SDK 2.1 guiminer with poclbm

My router recognises pool messages as some kind of attack and blocks incoming data as blacklist defense. I turned off whole blacklist thing, but suddenly other messages came, like "policy migration" or "not sufficient data". After all I think its better to change rules for blacklist than to handle new problems all over the time. Settings are: IDS Enabled: true Use Blacklist: false Use Victim Protection: true Dos Attack Block Duration: 1800 Scan Attack Block Duration: 86400 Victim Protection Block Duration: 600 Max TCP Open Handshaking Count: 100 Max PING Count: 15 Max ICMP Count: 100 Also I cant disable IDS (no such option via telnet or www GUI). EDIT: Forgot main idea of this topic... Please tell me what rules should I change so pools wont be blacklisted... Also what is strange - when ip is blacklisted I cannot see website or get share data. But now it blocks in some way, that GPU are getting connection problems one by one (ex. now at 2GPU rig only first one is hashing, other has connection problems (passed out 30minutes after PC and router restart...)

Today arrived second card for my rig. After checking, if new card is fine I cut PCI-Ex 1 slot, installed there card and checked, if slot is working. Everything was fine till then. Next step was to instal both cards. PC booted, windows recognised both cards, but it "cant run the device", dunno why. Tried rebooting, but still nothing.
Both cards are connected to monitor, both are 5850 by Sapphire (1x Vapor, 1x Xtreme). Any idea whats wrong?

Befor I start to destroy my old MOBO I wanted to ask - will 2 cards work on MOBO, which chipset (P31) doesnt support crossfire/SLI. I'm not going to crossfire my radeons, but just wondering, if it will work.
PS. Any advices how to safely cut back of slot?

Hello.
I've made few researches. (damn, sorry for misspellings but little drunk...) People here on forum are telling, that one some SDK U'll get better results, on others worse. Its TRUE. BUT, power, consuming by card will also increase, same temperature.
Been doing 380Mhash/s on 2.2 SDK or 2.4 SDK. Changed to 2.1 SDK and 395 MHash/s. But also was using 15 W more, as well as 5C more with 100% fan (74C @ 75%fan vs 79C @ 100%)(same clocks). After calculating additional profit from hashes - additional cost of power = the same. The adventage is lower temps on card, which means it will last longer.

As topic says, looking for good CPU miner (when u dont pay bills, u want to set everything whats possible).
With the one added to Guiminer got only 1.7 Mhash at C2D E7400 @3.5GHz, which comparing to wiki comparison is little poor.
