1  Economy / Economics / Bitcoin Effects on Economically Developing Nations on: November 18, 2016, 03:24:55 AM
Is bitcoin becoming beneficial to the third-world countries? It just came to my thoughts: how do this kind of trend in economics affect the poor countries? Does it help in lifting our economy? (I included myself since I belong to a third-world country). I am just curious how this kind of trend aids a poor economy like ours? Just want to know your personal thoughts over this question.  Wink
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Could there be a law on stolen bitcoins? on: November 08, 2016, 12:56:08 AM
Could there be a law on stolen bitcoins? What if there would be a law punishing those who steal bitcoins and those people behind scam sites? And if so, is it necessary to have such law? I'm just wondering, if there would be such law about stolen bitcoins, it could be a big relief to us bitcoin users. But then, there are so many questions and issues that goes with this ideal that makes me skeptical about it.  Huh Undecided

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin and space colony on: July 29, 2016, 04:53:44 AM
Human beings are already in its preparation stage to launch the trained astronauts to be sent to mars. This is a preparation for the purpose of making human colonies at Mars. On the other hand some corporations are targeting to mine some rare metals on asteroids.

Bitcoin as a virtual currency can be sent anywhere in the form of waves and frequencies passing through towers, cables or even in air. Bitcoin can be sent to space and it is possible. Maybe in the future when space colony will be established bitcoin is the potential legal tender.

Is it possible? What do you think?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoin copycats are rising on: July 27, 2016, 06:58:03 AM
Have you heard of TBC (The billion coins) or Swisscoin, they are not yet included in the coinmarket and yet their prices are rising very fast. Many are tempted to invest large amounts in those coins. You can also purchase those coins using bitcoins. Well, I am just afraid if they are really a currency or a scheme like ponzi like what ONECOIN did. What is the right thing to do about those coins?
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoins is indestructible on: July 21, 2016, 07:08:39 AM
https://medium.com/@alcio/how-to-destroy-bitcoins-255bb6f2142e#.3nrw5maq6

This article has captured my attention it said that there are ways to destroy bitcoin he further mentioned three steps to destroy bitcoins. But for me this all three steps will result to nothing and it will not bury bitcoin into the ground. Volumes of large bitcoin stock has already experienced the three ways he mentioned but it is still alive today. So i will say bitcoin will keep kicking for 260 years.

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Alarming bad publicity to bitcoins in social media on: July 21, 2016, 07:00:03 AM
http://www.newsbtc.com/2016/04/30/media-fails-attempt-destroy-bitcoin-favor-blockchain/

I am curious why the reports on bitcoin on television are somehow making bitcoin bad. Somehow many people are thinking that bitcoin is a criminals money. And while reading this article it just make sense that media has made attempts to destroy bitcoin in favor of blockchain. Is someone behind this bad publicity to bitcoins. But at least bitcoin remain strong.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Allowing merging of banks and bitcoin is bad for us on: July 21, 2016, 06:56:59 AM
https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-vs-banks-a-blockchain-without/

In this article i have read an very alarming issue about banks and how it will affect bitcoins, I will qoute it:

"history has shown that banks are prone to massive failures during economic crises; arguably, the banks themselves are the cause of the crises. In these failures, people lose all their savings, their livelihoods. Such calamities cannot be prevented by a simple blockchain adoption. Furthermore, that strong relationship between banks and government ensures that banks will be bailed out without being held accountable for their actions. Therefore, the economy is thrown into an endless cycle of economic hardship."

So if there is a votation say no to banks and bitcoin merging.
10  Economy / Economics / Merging of bitcoin and banks on: July 21, 2016, 06:50:40 AM
Many have said that bitcoin will destroy and will bring an end to banking institutions but i read this article and find out that bitcoin will not destroy banks instead it will empower them.

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/blockchain-empower-banks/

I will qoute some

"R3 has managed to organize every major western bank together on a project designed to imitate blockchain technology as it exists in Bitcoin. These firms are open-minded as to how this final form will take, even suggesting they could re-invent security altogether in pursuit of new banking systems.

Financial institutions are not going to surrender their industry. And consumers will appreciate easy-to-use more efficient systems of the future in banking."

So is it feasible or not?
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 21inc’s bitcoin new fee prediction model on: July 13, 2016, 02:41:48 AM
https://news.bitcoin.com/21inc-unveils-real-time-fee-prediction-platform/

The problem with bitcoin transactions is the slow transfer of bitcoins from one to another. The delay was caused by slow confirmations. The solution was to include a miner fee to make the transaction faster.

But almost all of us are sending a miners fee, since we compete so that our transactions are confirmed faster. Given this situations the company 21inc has made a platform to predict how much was the actual fee we need for a rapid transactions.

12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin is the only trusted cryptocurrency on: July 13, 2016, 02:31:06 AM
https://news.bitcoin.com/onecoin-false-misleading-warns-belgium/

At this point of time there are many cryptocurrencies that have appeared after the success that bitoin has shown to the whole world. Many copy cats are making their own coins which seem to look like bitcoin but with different feature.

Last july 11, 2016 an article was released saying that Belgium has warned investors against the use of Onecoin. According to Authorities Onecoin maybe a Ponzi Scheme since the funds and sources are questionable. Onecoin and its organizers have been receiving negative feedbacks due to this issue.

At this case, I will presume that the only trusted coin is bitcoin. What are your thoughts on this? Do you agree with me?
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin and Pokemon soon to merge on: July 13, 2016, 02:15:51 AM
https://news.bitcoin.com/pokemon-go-integrated-bitcoin/

This article has been viewed by pokemon fanatics and they are waiting to see what are the new features it has to offer. While bitcoin users are excited to have a new app that can earn bitcoins. But this is not yet available, as the article said, it is just a concept, a question or probability. The question on how and when will it happen still left as a mystery as they are waiting for a hacker to link pokemon and bitcoins.
14  Economy / Speculation / Next breakout in bitcoins price when will it be? on: July 13, 2016, 01:47:49 AM
Last November 2015 we have witness a big surge on bitcoins monetary value. This 2016 many have awaited for the increase during the halving but the increase had happened months before halving and that is last june, 2016. Technical experts have said that there will be more breakout to happen. So let us roll out our ideas as to when will the next breakout be.

So what are your guess?
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 64 more halvings to go for bitcoins on: July 12, 2016, 04:12:52 AM
64 halvings x 4 years is equals to 256 years. So possible bitcoin will probably exist 260 years from now. It is bad new or good news. It maybe bad new for future generations but of us it is good news since we will not be able to witness the end of bitcoin.

Then after reading that facts, i decided to hoard some of my btc and I will open it and use after 20 years, since at that time bitcoin will still be alive.

Will you share your thoughts about it and correct me if i am wrong, I believe that multiple minds is better than one.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Is plutus tap and pay will pave the way for bitcoin as legal tender? on: July 12, 2016, 04:06:21 AM
https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-nfc-app-plutus-raises-1-million/

I have stumbled into this news article, and I thinked about the future where I can go to the shopping mall and using PLUTUS tap and pay system i can buy my new pair of jeans using bitcoin. It is real the new payment app alllows you to pay bitcoin in exchange for the goods you purchased. This app is good news to bitcoin and ethereum only since this app does not include other cryptocurrencies. If this app will be distributed worldwide then a new world of market is at hand.
17  Other / Off-topic / Do you like to pay bills using bitcoins while staying at home? on: July 12, 2016, 04:00:21 AM
Paying bills is very tiresome. Aside from travelling to the nearest station to pay for your bills you also have to pay for your fare. Sometimes when you are very busy and you cannot leave your office or your home you are wishing that there will be a new technology that allows you to pay your bills without going out from your house and leaving your office.

In the Philippines bitcoin has made the life of Pinoys more comfortable. Using bitcoin while at home or at work with just a click on your mobile phones or smartphones you can pay your bills. There are sites in the Philippines that allows you to do that, but is there anything like that in other countries?

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Quantum computers of NSA, advantageous to bitcoin or not? on: July 12, 2016, 03:26:53 AM
http://bitcoinist.net/quantum-computing-draws-closer-danger-bitcoin/

This article that was posted on the net was saying that quantum computing could endanger bitcoins. Quantum computer was proposed by NSA it was designed to crack encryption. Quantum computers could compute millions of calculations at a single time compare to normal computers that can solve a single computation at a time. Quantum computing has become a hot topic and was said to be a threat to bitcoins.

Will quantum computing brings an end to bitcoin or it will help bitcoin to level up? What is the right idea?
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoins existence has increased the spread of child pornography on: July 08, 2016, 05:58:03 AM
http://qz.com/725828/a-startup-is-trying-solve-bitcoins-child-pornography-problem/

This is a very alarming article, and this is one of the reasons why the government should intervene with the bitcoin transactions to stop this kind of nefarious activities. It is not only used in pornography but also purchase of drugs and other illegal equipments. We may not know but maybe terrorists are buying weapon of mass destruction using bitcoin to terrorize cities. This is a big call to all government to monitor the illegal operations in the cryptocurrency economy. This things must be stop with the help of the government for our safety and childrens welfare.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Bitcoin Price increase for halving is finished a week ago. on: July 08, 2016, 05:53:39 AM
Many are still expecting that the price of bitcoin will still go up but according to my observance at the price trend, the price inflation is finished weeks ago. Halvening will cause dismay to everyone who thought halving will bring an increase to bitcoins monetary value. But it is not the end, since the price movement is not caused by halving there are many possible situations wherein the price will go up regardless of halving.
