CryptocurrencyTrader - New free beta version released

Current version 0.41b - Released August 9th 2014

Winner of last poll : MintPal. Be sure to vote for the next exchange to get implemented!

Greetings bitcoiners! This is a newer version of the same program that I announced here . The name has changed slightly because others where also using that name ( and others have nothing to do with me or this project ).

About the program: Cryptocurrency-Trader is a trading terminal that aims to streamline trading in multiple exchanges. The program features an easy to use interface, address book and intuitive charts. There will be two versions of the program, the free version and the pro version. The free version will contain all the features in this beta version and will stay free as the name says. The pro version will have some added features like stop-loss orders and additional exchanges, and will cost something reasonable.. The reason why this program is released now while it is still in beta is to receive feedback from you. If you have suggestions or feature requests please post them on this thread.

Exchange support ( Free version ) : BTC-e,

Additional exchanges in Pro  : Cryptsy, Bitstamp, (MintPal public API only)

Language support : English and Finnish.

Platform support : Windows Vista and newer, may work on Linux.

Warning : Program is under development and may contain bugs! The program is developed using Java 8 and does not support Java 7.

Download : Direct download
or go to my website at Registering at the site is disabled and is not needed to download the software.
Unpack the donwloaded zip-file and double click on the CryptocurrencyTraderFree-file to start the program.

API keys and security: The program will encrypt your API keys when they are stored using the username and password you provide. The API keys will only be used to communicate with exchanges. Your APIs secret key is never sent anywhere. For the program to work it needs to connect to exchanges. It will also use simple get requests to get information on trading pairs and price history from These are explained a bit more in the manual.

Please post any questions and suggestions you have!

2  Bitcoin / Project Development / [ANNOUNCE] Cryptocoin trader - free beta on: September 10, 2013, 06:53:58 AM

Cryptocoin trader is a program that interfaces with exchanges and allows you to easily trade in them. It brings to the table more customization, data visualization and a user friendly interface. The program is under development and the current version only has support for Btc-e, but more exchanges will be added in the future. Price history and current volume data visualization available. I have been working on this program during the spring and summer as a little side project. The program is coded in Java. The reason why i am releasing this development version is to get input on which exchanges to add and what features you think are needed. I have not been active on forums but have some experience trading cryptos. I have a private enterprise named Kilzeus software which is a one man operation right now. Website is under construction. To address any doubts you may have about the software maybe some long-time respectable member of the community would kindly spend a little time to test this?

NOTICE: the program has been tested but since it is a beta-version some bugs may exist. It is probably a good idea to create a new user account at Btc-e to test the trading functionality. As always use of this software happens on your own risk!

Be advised that the program will get the price history and the list of currency pairs from . This is not an attempt to steal your api-keys! They are stored encrypted on your hard-drive and will only be decrypted when the program is running. Your secret key is never sent anywhere and your api-key is only sent to Btc-e when needed!

Language support is at the moment limited to English and Finnish.

Please post here your questions, experiences, ideas and any bugs you find with the program so it can be made even better in the future!

Java 7 with JavaFX 2.2 ( JavaFX comes bundled with newest Java ). The program has been tested on Windows 7 and 8, so no
guarantees on linux operability. If it works with linux please let me know.

*removed download links for the old version. Please download the new one from . You can find the link by clicking on the product icon. No registration is needed.

Just unzip and double-click on the "CryptocurrencyTrader.jar"-file.
