1  Other / Beginners & Help / I wrote an ultimate guide to cryptocurrency, so even your grandma can understand on: May 06, 2022, 02:53:04 PM
I remembered that not so long ago I wrote a guide to cryptocurrency and blockchain. I was trying to keep it simple and plain, so even your grandma can understand it, hopefully.

I kept it on my laptop and forgot about it. I just wanted to share with you, no strings attached, after all, I did spend days researching and writing it, at least it might help someone.

So here it is, feel free to share, reuse, whatever (but at least leave some credits): PDF guide
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is Tether Ethereum? on: February 11, 2022, 09:08:32 PM

Can someone please clear things up for me?
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin testnet fee is higher than sent amount on: February 05, 2022, 04:53:25 PM

I was wondering why is fee higher than sent amount https://www.blockchain.com/btc-testnet/tx/079b8071417b0f1ae6a859fdbba11dfa0df99c96101b80dbff054ec687beebac

I sent 0.00002 and fee was 0.00006, why is that?
4  Economy / Exchanges / How Coinbase knows an account is from a sex worker? on: January 31, 2022, 09:08:59 PM
I've been reading how Coinbase shuts down sex worker's account. I was wondering how do they know account is from a sex worker? They probably don't use your real name in sex work so even if they pass KYC Coinbase can't know unless they do a research on them.
Payments are anonyoums. I don't understand
5  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / How to start wallet development? on: January 31, 2022, 06:58:00 PM
I've been trying to find how to start with wallet development for BTC and other currencies but I could not find any resources.
Is there any API for it?
6  Economy / Marketplace / Crypto to fiat withdrawal on: January 30, 2022, 04:49:46 PM
I'm working on a marketplace, to there are buyers and sellers. Every seller is KYC verified. I would like to accept payments in crypto but payout sellers in fiat, or withdraw fiat to seller's bank account.

For example seller sells something for 1BTC, I withdraw 90%, so 0.9BTC converted to fiat, to seller's bank account.

Is something like that possible?
7  Economy / Services / Automatically exchange cryptocurrency and send to bank account on: January 26, 2022, 08:20:29 PM
Greeting

I would like to start a web service, so I am interested in the following is possible

1. The basic thing I need is to be able to receive cryptocurrencies. So the buyer pay in my place what he wants to buy cryptocurrency
2. It is important to me that I have some kind of webhook or callback so that I know the status of the transaction
3. At some point when I reach a certain limit to request an automatic cryptocurrency exchange for fiat and a payment to a bank account.

Number 3 is especially important. Is there anything out there that can do that?
8  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Send Bitcoin from 1 address to multiple addresses with one transaction on: January 08, 2022, 01:24:08 PM
I want to build a marketplace, so there is a buyer and a seller. So when a buyer buys something from the seller I take the fee. Thus part of buyer's money goes to my account like (10%) and the rest to the seller.

Is there any payment provider in the crypto world that allows that, either through a payment provider or to code it by myself? Or if there isn't, what's possible solution for my problem?

10  Economy / Service Discussion / Crypto payment provider that allows split payments on: January 04, 2022, 08:43:05 PM
Hi all

Do you know any crypto payment providers like BitPay that allows slit payments. By that I mean if a buyer buys something for 1BTC to send 0.5BTC to address A and 0.5BTC to address 2, thus split the payment by doing one transaction
11  Economy / Marketplace / Crypto Bank on: December 16, 2021, 07:25:23 PM
I was thinking about it for a while. I am a developer, I understand the concept of bitcoin, blockchain and decentralization. There are cryptocurrency buying services, there are wallet creation services. People who want to have cryptocurrency already have and know what they need to use from the service.

But even though blockchain and crypto are designed to be decentralized, in a way I believe that the bank will then slowly switch to crypto and offer you a service, so your bank will make you an account, keep the currency there, you will use the payment card... basically manage everything as they do now. As it is now with fiat. Since a large part of the market people is crypto-uneducated this will be a good opportunity for banks to gain market share.

What interests me is that it makes sense to start a “bank” that will take care of customers like traditional banks do. Opening an account, buying a crypt, maintaining a computer, etc.?
12  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Crypto Banka on: December 16, 2021, 07:10:40 PM
Neko vrijeme razmišljam o tome a nikako da napišem. Programera sam, razumijem koncept bitcoina, blockchaina i decentralizacije.

13  Other / Beginners & Help / Is there an easy and quick way to buy cryptocurrency with a credit card? on: September 22, 2021, 06:26:13 PM
I've been working with cryptocurrency on and off for months. The concept of cryptocurrency and wallets is too abstract for everyday internet user.

Usually if someone wants to buy cryptocurrency to pay for let's say a video person has to:
- Find out where to create account
- When finds place like Coinbase or similar person needs to create a wallet
- Go through KYC
- Remember phrases
- Educate about all of it (wallet, phrases, crypto address)
- Choose which coin to buy
- Use a credit card to buy it
- Go to another site
- Choose payment provider
- Copy/paste your wallet id or address
- Confirm that you are an owner somehow
- Execute payment
Did I miss anything?

Is there anything that simplifies the process? Is there any payment provider that makes the process easy to use for the everyday user, imagine it as PayPal flow, such as:
- Register on site (it automatically creates a wallet)
- Use a credit card to buy crypto
- Go to another site
- Choose payment provider
- Login with it
- Execute payment

I found this https://www.fortmatic.com/ it comes really close

15  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Crypto payment provider on: September 11, 2021, 07:37:03 PM
Pozdrav
Zna li netko postoji li crypto payment provider koji omogućava da se napravi split payment. Npr imam prodavača na mojoj stranici i kada kupac nešto kupi recimo za 100 altcoina, da 10 altcoina prebacim sebi, a 90 prodavaču?
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Crypto payment gateway for adult website on: September 11, 2021, 06:53:00 PM
Hi
I'm looking for a payment gateway that allows other people on my website to get paid. To be more precise, people on my website would enter their crypto address and then other users are able to send tips to user who added crypto address. Site is adult oriented.

What are some crypto payment providers that allow that.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Meaningful way to use blockchain technology on: September 02, 2021, 03:55:24 PM
I worked with Ethereum before to create a cryptocurrency. Now Facebook is launching its Diem blockchain and I'm really interested in it.
I would like to get more insights from more experienced developers here. What can be done with blockchain that cannot be done with other technology? What would be the meaningful way to use Diem blockchain?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Facebook Diem thoughts on: September 02, 2021, 06:33:33 AM
I was looking at Facebook Diem, I know it's coming from failed project Libra. It's not only about coin, they are building the whole infrastructure: blockchain, wallet...
For starters it was meant to be integrated into Facebook's ecosystem: FB, IG, Whatsapp and be used for money transfer.

What do you think about it? Does it have future? What are potential usages of Facebook's blockchain?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Why do all crypto trading sites require so many steps for registration on: July 16, 2021, 04:49:03 PM
I wanted to buy Tether so I was looking online where to buy it. I tried few websites, but it took waaaay to long to register. I needed to provide my email and pass, then confirm email, set up 2FA, get code on my phone via SMS, leave my personal data, address, upload ID, upload this document, upload that document...

Why is so complicated to buy crypto currency? Is it really necessary? I thought crypto can actually leave out all that complication what other real life payment processors have
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The real value of blockchain on: May 31, 2020, 10:26:52 AM
I’m trying to figure out the REAL value of blockchain. For example creating social network on BC is totally useless, BC for cryptocurrency is the REAL value

Can someone explain what’s the real value, why would I build something on BC except for “decentralization”. If I can build something with other technology why would I use BC.

What is it that I can do ONLY with BC and cannot be created with any other tech?

Please help me see the value in BC because I still don’t see it
