I have been using Tv-lite which was perfect until recently when I upgraded to Noble Numbat. Now it won't even load.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Does Interacting with Solana Dapps also require revoking approvals afterward? on: April 02, 2024, 09:22:00 PM
Solana is a pretty interesting chain that seems a little different from ETH, BSC, Polygon etc. What I would like to know is if interacting with different dapps on Solana blockchain can easily get your wallet drained like it has been the case with the like of ETH, BSC…
Is there any trustworthy tool that has been used before that can revoke approvals on Solana addresses?

I see so many articles and some could have been posted by scammers, so I am skeptical trusting the links of revoking apps they share. It could be a way of trying to steal seeds/private keys.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What causes constant drops in locked funds in the liquidity pool? on: March 11, 2024, 03:08:07 PM
My understanding of locked liquidity is that these are funds or tokens are can not be withdrawn from the liquidity pool if they are burned or until they are unlocked after sometime.

However, when I look at some liquidity pools of some token, The locked tokens in the liquidity pool keeps increasing and decreasing within seconds or a minute. I would expect it to just keep increasing since the tokens are locked and more are just getting locked or burned as time goes on.

What causes the constant small drops in values?

For example watch the liquidity of this Token - https://dexscreener.com/solana/fubuay9hzy5ehybdq2owpjaxbcvy5qtccjrjimcxmk93

Sometimes it increases, other times it drops, yet they claim that all the currently locked tokens are burned.

6  Economy / Scam Accusations / CryptoAIDev, promoting Shady AI seed finder and scam Binance pump signals on: January 21, 2024, 10:55:33 PM
What happened: CryptoAIDev was one of the puppet accounts created by sedinvore to shill his infamous AI Seed finder. Most of the shill account were nuked but CryptoAIDev wasn't banned. The account has since then been used to advertise Binance pump signals, which we all know are scam (cryptopumpsignalsbinance.com)
The thread is also self moderated.

I created this thread for reference

7  Economy / Reputation / carizmerlin31 Reputation. I need some help from a Russian member. on: December 19, 2023, 11:27:13 PM
carizmerlin31 did something terrible that got his account flagged and tagged. Unfortunately, the profile was tagged by only one DT member at that time who has since gone rogue and deleted everything including the accusation thread.

The good thing is that there is an archived version of the deleted post - https://ninjastic.space/post/57115889, but it's in Russian and I have failed to auto translate it using my browsers

I need any Russian member to help me summarize what the accusation was about

I want to tag the account, but need to be sure what I am tagging it for.
8  Economy / Service Discussion / An Email from TradingView claiming they are airdropping $TRADE Tokens on: November 20, 2023, 02:43:25 PM
A few hours back I received an Email from what seems to be tradingview official communication email channel (noreply@tradingview.com). It's the same email address that sends me alerts once a price crosses my set alarm price.

Obviously the $TRADE token airdrop is a scam because on visiting the site, they want one to connect your Metamask or one of the wallets and website is domain is brand-new
Suspicious website

My question is how the scammers managed to pull this off? I mean using the official email of TradingView to spread their scam.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why has GAS token been pumping harder yet the Native coin NEO isn't? on: November 11, 2023, 07:23:09 AM
Back in the day when NEO was still a hot item and was also at one point dubbed the Ethereum killer, the Price of NEO was higher than that of its utility token NEO gas. To put this into context. On 15th January 2018, NEO recorded an all-time high of $198 while NEO GAS recorded an all-time high of $92 on the same day

NEO price was 3 times over that of NEO GAS and yet today GAS is trading at the same price with NEO and even sometimes higher than it.

Why is GAS pumping hard and NEO so much? Have the people trading a NEO utility token GAS decided to believe in it more than native coin NEO?

12  Economy / Service Discussion / Is Tornado cash still up and usable? on: April 22, 2023, 10:35:43 PM
I have come across a tornado cash looking site, but I am not sure if it's real or a phishing site?

https://ipfs.io/ipns/tornadocash.eth/

We know the original site was blacklisted (https://tornado.cash)

I am seeing another alternative on the Wikipedia page, but they don't look similar to the one above (https://beacon.cash)
This is what I got from the wiki

After the sanctions on Tornado Cash, numerous attempts were made to create new mixers. One of the major privacy concerns with Ethereum staking is the potential exposure of personal information and counterparty risks. To address these issues, a new mixer called Beacon.Cash has been developed using Tornado Cash core contracts. The protocol was created by Alexey Pertsev, who also developed Tornado Cash. While it is primarily used as a way to tumble crypto, it may also face sanctions for its potential use in staking.
13  Other / Meta / Can a permanently banned account recieve a PM? on: April 16, 2023, 10:38:17 PM
Like the title says, is it possible for the owner of a banned account to receive a PM from another member or once they are permanently banned, that's it. All the features are blocked except for the read-only mode.
14  Other / Meta / Advertising a software that drains user tokens/coins. Is it allowed? on: March 19, 2023, 09:53:14 PM
This user is advertising a software which I believe is malicious. He claims that It can drain user wallets once an approval is made.

XDrainer - software powered by Docker & Yaml. Which allows you to interact with users' wallets to sign malicious transactions that deprive them of cryptocurrencies and nft. Our software stands out from the rest with the best functionality at the moment, and the best price on the market.

This is probably the kind of tool used to scam users.

Is reporting this user as a malware poster appropriate?
15  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Exodus wallet, Latest PC version 23.1.2. Bug or issue with my device? on: January 13, 2023, 10:43:15 PM
I was trying to send out some coins from my updated exodus wallet PC version 23.1.12 using the QR code option of scanning from my PC's camera but for some reason it just stays blank as shown in the image

Could this be a bug or an issue with my device?

Anyone with exodus wallet PC version, please help me confirm if the Qr code option of scanning from camera works or not.

Note: I decided to send funds using the copy-paste option, which I am so paranoid of lately due to the rampant Address poisoning scam, mostly.
16  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electrum giving inaccurate mempool data? on: December 19, 2022, 11:54:33 PM
While trying to send out some BTC, I noticed that information provided by Electrum app regarding the mempool does not seem to be accurate

Electrum was showing me that the mempool is about 10 MB worth of unconfirmed transactions.

mempool explorer (mempool.space) at the same time estimated the size to be about 1.7 MB

Is this something normal?

My electrum app is for android, and it's the latest version
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Learning how to code in order to automate trading strategies, is it worth? on: December 02, 2022, 11:05:36 PM
Hey members.

I have been a trader for about 4 years, but lately I have been thinking much about learning how to code from scratch (Yep, I am those unlucky ones who did a course that didn't require any coding  Cheesy)

I intended to use the knowledge gathered to make and automate some trading strategies and also understand better how to use some bots, but I am left to wonder if these whole new journey will be worth it?

Also, apart from pine script programming language that is specifically trading view, is Python the only other programming language I need to learn (No JavaScript and all those other programming languages)?
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / longing vs Shorting, Why is there a huge difference in percentage ROI? on: November 04, 2022, 02:34:49 PM
Maybe my mathematics or logic is a bit messed up, but I would like to find out from my fellow traders.

Let's say I am going to short and long Doge using the same entry and exit price with the 1000 USDT I have in my derivatives account.

Case 1:
I long Doge using my initial margin of 1000 USDT on 10x leverage, this means my position size will be 10,000 USDT. Assuming my entry price was 0.1 USDT and exit price is 1 USDT

Based on the calculations, this is how my ROI and profit will look like

Case 2:
I short Doge using my initial margin of 1000 USDT on 10x leverage, this means my position size will be 10,000 USDT. Assuming my entry price was 1 USDT and exit price is 0.1 USDT

Based on the calculations, this is how my ROI and profit will look like

Just a mere 9,000 USDT profit vs 90,000 USDT profit for holding positions through the same price ranges but in different directions (1 to 0.1 vs 0.1 to 1)

It completely doesn't make sense to me. If the traders are holding positions against each other, then where does the rest of the money go?
19  Other / Meta / [Bing search] What has Bithope foundation have to do with Bitcointalk forum? on: September 25, 2022, 11:40:43 PM
I was searching on Bing then I noticed something unusual

Some seemingly misleading information on the right side of the page, showing as though it was from the Bitcointalk Wikipedia page

Quote
100% of the funds sent to this campaign go to the BitcoinTalk forum. The BitHope Foundation has no control over the received funds or on how they are spent.
Quote
The BitcoinTalk forum lost a third of its referrals from the bitcoin community in February, according to available traffic data from website analytics firm SimilarWeb.
Quote
Despite of publishing defamation campaigns against innocent people, Bitcointalk.org is the largest forum for advertising illegal activities.

the quotes are linked to bithope.org, zoominfo.com, game-protect.com respectively.

Someone butthurt trying to spread misleading information to unknowing visitors?

How do we work around to remove that misleading information?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / In your opinion, which altcoin do you think is going to be the new king of POW on: September 16, 2022, 10:22:17 PM
Given that ETH POW was a joy for many altcoin miners for the past few year in terms of profitability and now that the merge is done, Which altcoin do you think will step up and fill the void left by the Ethereum network in the next bull run?
