1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / PhoenixMiner back on github? on: October 25, 2021, 01:43:26 PM
folks there is what i believe a scammer posting links to download latest version of PhoenixMiner 5.8C and mods here seem reluctant to remove it instead delete my warning posts about it which is a bit strange....

If PhoenixMiner is back on github I apologise but have not seen any such notification and so ask you all to report the scammer post.

Below is a copy of my warning post for reference and the direct link to the scammeer post is: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2647654.msg58264850#msg58264850

DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT!!!

The  new  version  is  finally  ready.  You  can  download  PhoenixMiner  5.8c  from  here:

Github
[url=https://github.com/PhoenixDev-Mine/PhoenixMiner/releases/xxxxxlinkdisabledxxxxx
Github

Changes in version 5.8c :
  • Full LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no
  • Added lock core clock
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RTX 3060/3080/3090 cards
  • Implemented new "turbo" kernels (-clkernel 3) for AMD Polaris cards that can work with the current DAG sizes over 4 GB. Note that -clkernel 3 uses double the VRAM and will
provide slightly faster hashrate with slightly higher power consumption. You can use the -rvram command-line parameter to specify how much VRAM to be left unused
  • Increased the maximum supported DAG epoch to 600 (i.e. until about Sep 2023)
  • Implemented full hardware control for AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux. Note that with these cards under Linux you need to specify relative core voltage: e.g. -
cclock -50 will set the core voltage to be 50 mV under the default value
  • Added ROCr kernels for Vega, Radeon VII and Navi cards. With these kernels you will be able to run these cards with Linux drivers 20.45 and later but the performance will
be lower than with the older PAL drivers and kernels. We recommend using AMD Linux driver 20.30 for all cards except RX6900/6800/6700
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux (there is no need to run these cards with -clkernel 0 anymore)
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers up to 21.8.1. Note that Radeon VII cards will not work with drivers 21.6.1 or higher - you need to use older drivers for proper
    operation of these cards
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers up to 21.20 (use older drivers for Vega or Radeon VII cards as they will not work with 21.20). Note that the latest 21.30 drivers are
not supported (and the initial testing shows that even the older Polars cards are not working properly with them, so avoid 21.30 for now)
  • Numerous other fixes and small improvements

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.8c

Dear mods,

this post above links to what i believe is a none official source of PhoenixMiner yet you delete my warning to it and leave it up?

What are you doing?

Has a scammer infiltrated your ranks or is PhoenixMiner back on Github without any notice promising a long desired feature like LHR nullification? PhoeninxMiner was kicked off Github and its well documented in this thread. The only official place to download PhoenixMiner is from there own website which is linked in the first post of this thread and copied below.

https://phoenixminer.info/downloads/

ALL TAKE NOTE

UNTIL VERIFIED OTHERWISE BY PM, DOWNLOADING PHOENIXMINER from any location other than "https://phoenixminer.info/downloads/" is likely to ruin your day/week/year (delete as appropriate)

The following link offered by the suspect scammer appears to be a new github account and provided for reference it is an unknown repositary setup yesterday 24th Oct 2021 DO NOT DOWNLOAD FROM IT.

IS there a market for these need to raise funds.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Crimes against humanity today. on: January 17, 2018, 02:02:47 PM
The Old New world order establishment currently losing its power to decentralised crypto currency, those who have manipulated humanity fromthe shadows for selfish ends via fiat currency and economic warfare for centuries are today again guilty of gross criminal acts against humanity which cannot go unnoticed.

These entity's by causing a Crypto market panic due to threats of bans and regulation and preventing investors and traders from extracting fiat currency from exchanges as threatened, they effectively engage in writing off National state debt from honest crypto miners, traders and speculators since that fiat currency will be "frozen" in some hole of there despotic and pathetic fear based creation.

And so we witness the failing global Old new world order attempt to pass its debt onto holders of fiat in crypto exchanges, effectively the coerceon of the people forcefully to write of national state Debt into the hole created by them and they could even seize it back from exchanges using more force of the state for an effective double whammy.

This is a CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY of massive magnitude and I pitty those guilty of it because they will be the first to pay for for those crimes when justice is enforced against them by the most Supreme authority of all, and it will.

On the plus side though, crypto will become stronger and more evolved since in a predatory environment such as the one that the Old New world thrive within, only the fittest crypto may prevail so let the dark try to retain its power which it has stolen because the light will just shine it away once again in a dazzling display of justice which is long overdue..

Here's to the emerging New, New world order which the old fears desperately as it erodes away the power base of the state issued fiat currency backed by nothing of tangible value despite the promise printed upon those state issued fiat currency notes to pay the bearer on demand.

Yes A decentralised p2p eco system for humanity providing all of humanity a way to obtain there equality and equity has arrived and will continue to evolve and there is not one thing they the dying Old New world order can do about it, short of nuking us all and starting the game again. Those tyrannical Nation state,s or at least those tyrants who control them from the shadows are desperate to retain control but they will fail because they cannot possibly continue in the face of a waking humanity set free with a tool that is this amazing blockchain technology.

There are many who fear this technology and rightly so because it does have the capacity to be turned against humanity in order that the Old new world order could become the New, new world order in a centralised nightmare such as that warned of by Orwell et al. The choice though is still ours to make and we must beat a path to a decentralised p2p poeples New world order and we must do it togethor and never ever let the tail wag the dog.

Money is not the problem here and never was, money is a tool that should aid people to trade and nothing more, as ever the love of money is the root of all evil.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / look what Birty made me do (VRM mining with Intel Atom farm) on: November 20, 2017, 05:08:03 PM
Hi all just wanted to let you all know how easy it is to setup a verium mining farm using Birty's great guide and just to let you all know the Intel Atom mining of verium is on!

Currently got 48 micro atx Intel Atom boards with dual core low power CPU (tdp 5W the chipset consumes x4 lol) and each with 1Gb RAM. So far 48 boards give 96 cores and 48Gb Ram (1Gb each) the setup is pulling a steady 960W with 16 250W psu (one 250W psu powering three Micro atom boards) but wiring the power leads is a chore nobody makes y splitter power leads with 3 out 1 in lol and prob for good reason they prob wouldnt be cheap enough anyway! on average each Atom board is using about 20W :-)    (980W/48)

I am also utilizing a bag of small 130Mb usb sticks found in my dusty shelfs to run the boards as managed to get effects to cause verium miner compiled in Tiny core linux making the image size about 69Mb lol perfect for a "saving of old computer stuff from the tip" project like this haha....  The atom boards came out of recycled digital advertising screens lol, at the every least it is keeping the ground floor of my home nice and warm! the interesting thing to note i have found is that Tiny core linux loads into RAM making it perfect for running of USB stick cos it writes itself into RAM and occupies around 250Mb of Ram with another 250Mb used for running the system leaving 500Mb of RAM unused or spare...... and thats with 2 threads mining away!

There is two different types of intel atom board running in the farm and they are both old kit,

LD945GCLF = 130H/m  (atom 230 @ 1.6Ghz DDR 2)
D425KT = 145H/m      (atom 425 @ 1.8Ghz this is DDR3 to!)

12 x LD945GCLF = 1560H/m (60W tdp)

12 x D425KT = 1740H/m (60W tdp)

total hash rate of 6600 H/m

Heres a photo of the farm:

so far there is still one shelf to fill and that will be constructed in a week or so bringing the farm upto 60 boards total. Each shelf hosts 12 boards with 4 x 250W psu behind them, the atom boards dont use very much power they only use infact the main 20 pin ATX connector and the p4 for cpu power and each psu seem to run three micro ATX boards just fine havent tried to run more as thought it might stress things a little to much but might have a test soon lol. Total current hashing power over 6.5Kh/m for 980W power consumption, its not odroid efficient but its fun and informative and hopefully one day will be productive lol.. the dropping of the difficulty over the last days has been interesting :-)

I like Verium because it is GPU resistant back in 14 I used to mine LTC but had to pack my rigs up when it became to hard to mine I am doing this with out any idea what will happen to verium but i suspect it will catch on next year in a big way :-)

Cheers Birty... :-)
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BTC should be valued in Gold not Dollars on: November 20, 2017, 11:06:15 AM
Whats going to happen when the Dollar begins to become over inflated some say we are seeing the effects now in that the price of bitcoin is not really rising its just the fiat currency inflating, inflating....... And further down the line if the dollar should disappear maybe so the Euro and other large fiat currency also!

So is it time for the exchanges and miners and everybody who uses bitcoin to start measuring BTC vlaue in gold maybe x ounces per bitcoin?
We can set the initial value on any given day (soon) so lets say today the value of Gold per ounce in dollars today is $1291/$8000 = 6.19 ounces/BTC and then at that vaue decouple from the dollar and let gold be the measure....

Thoughts?
