1  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / "poclbm.exe has crashed" error in GUIMiner on: July 30, 2011, 12:48:24 AM
At some point in the last 24 hours poclbm stopped working for me and gives this error when I try to start a miner in guiminer. Restarting my PC didn't help and I have the most up to date version of guiminer. Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?
2  Economy / Goods / WTS: 1 HIS HD 6990 w/Dummy Plug on: July 21, 2011, 05:30:39 PM
I have an HIS branded HD 6990 that I'd like to sell. Based on eBay prices I think 900 + actual shipping (or the equivalent in bitcoin at the market rate) would be a fair price but I might entertain offers if you PM them. The hard includes a dummy plug so that you don't need a monitor connected to it and can administer the system remotely.

If anyone is interested I can take a picture of the card with my username, the date, a sketch of a t-rex with a machine gun, etc. Ships from the US so if you're in the US expect shipping prices of around $10. The card weighs about 4lbs so if you want international shipping you can use that figure to calculate it.

I'm paypal business verified, an eBay powerseller (around 2k feedback) etc. I can provide these accounts and proof that I own them upon request. I live in Central Florida and will do local pick-up should anyone be interested in that, too.
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / In guiminer, one GPU in my 6990 works fine, the other has connection problems on: June 29, 2011, 06:33:10 PM
I thought it might be a power issue but it wasn't. When I start both GPU's up they start fine then, when they hit about 60% usage the 2nd one gets "connection problems" and drops back to 0. This isn't a username/password issue.
4  Economy / Goods / Selling 1 PC w/1x6990, 1 PC w/2x6990 make offer on: June 29, 2011, 05:04:50 PM
I've got one system with an 1100W PSU and a single 6990 GPU. There are 2 spare x1 slots if you want to rig up a couple more cards, depending on the cards you might need more PSU for that, though. There are only 2 6-pin connectors left and the 6990 uses like 475W in overclocked mode.

The 2nd system has 2 6990's on board and is in an ATX full tower decked out with a ton of fans. There is a spare x16 slot if you want to connect another card. This system has a 1500W PSU.

Both systems come with a CPU dummy plug. All the GPU's and the entire 2nd system are covered under a warranty from the computer manufacturer.

Make an offer for one or both in bitcoin, paypal USD, dwolla, or ACH/wire transfer. Items ships from Florida. I have  FedEx and UPS shipping account with discounted rates and can get you a shipping quote at your request.
5  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Selling 250gb Xbox 360 Slim Hard Drives 1.5BTC w/US Shipping on: June 09, 2011, 06:09:36 AM
I sell Xbox 360 hard drives on ebay and my website ( I have drives for the slim and the original Xbox 360. Price is 1.5BTC for a 250gb 5400 RPM with free first class mail shipping within the US. Add .2 BTC if you want to upgrade to 7200 RPM.

If you want one PM me or go to the site. I added bitcoin as a currency and payment method so hopefully that should work, but PMing always works.
6  Bitcoin / Mining / Windows GPU limit? on: June 07, 2011, 06:39:01 PM
I recall hearing that windows has a GPU limit that prevents running 3x6990's because that would 6 GPU's total. What is the windows limit and is it possible to run 3x6990 on Linux?
7  Economy / Marketplace / 250GB Hard Drives for Xbox 360 - 5.5 BTC shipped! on: June 01, 2011, 02:53:47 AM
I can't figure out how to get the Bitcoin module for Zen cart working so purchasing straight from my website with bitcoin doesn't work but I can do it via email/PM if anyone wants to buy a hard drive with bitcoin.

A 250GB hard drive for an Xbox 360 Classic or Xbox 360 S (aka Slim/Kinect/4gb) is 5.5 BTC and includes free First Class Mail shipping within the US (You can upgrade to Priority Mail for .33 BTC, Express Mail for 1.7 BTC) .

You can get the 7200 RPM version (10-15% faster) for 1 BTC more.

If you want a flashed hard drive with no case so that you can upgrade your existing Xbox 360 hard drive subtract .5 BTC from the price.

International shipping (Priority Mail International) is 1.1 BTC extra to Canada, 1.35 BTC to the rest of the world.

My website is if you'd like proof that these hard drives aren't imaginary but, again, this only has USD/EUR/GBP/AUD/CAD so PM me or email if you want to buy with bitcoin.

edit - Didn't realize I wasn't in the selling forum but rather the general marketplace section and I can neither delete my own post nor report it to an admin so if someone wants to move the most that would be swell.

edit 2 - Made my own bitcoin payment module that doesn't use JSON (which I couldn't figure out) so you can now buy with BitCoin straight on the site, the price is a little higher because I used a $8.50 valuation for the site. If you PM me email me to do a bitcoin transaction I will honor the prices in this post.
8  Bitcoin / Mining / Is mining on Linux any faster than on Win7? on: May 30, 2011, 06:40:10 AM
I'm going to be building a mining rig in a couple weeks (3x6990) and I wanted to know if anyone had tested the performance difference between any linux distros and Win7. Is either OS more efficient than the other at mining?
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / What is an RPC? on: May 16, 2011, 03:26:18 AM
I've added a bitcoin module to my website so that people can checkout with bitcoin but it asks for a BitCoin RPC host address as well as a user name and password. I've google a bit and found API calls for RPC but no explanation of what it is and what this address should be, nor the login credentials.
