1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Short and Long trades in parallel on: October 17, 2018, 10:52:30 AM
Hey guys, I am a little lost:

Does it make sense to have a short bot and a long bot on the same pairing?

I somehow can't get my head around it...

e.g. I got 30k QSP and I don't really care if I end up with 20k or 40k of it, I just wanna make a profit in each direction. Do 2 bots make sense in that scenario?
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Pay with Crypto - what's the best solution on: May 08, 2018, 03:25:40 PM
Hi guys,

I wanna start doing my everyday transactions with crypto. I wanna start with some credit card or debit card that translates my crypto (does not have to be bitcoin) to FIAT at point of sale. So I don't wanna change to fiat before I actually pay. I also wanna have a simple way to reload my card with cryptos, if possible without going through an exchange.

Is there anything around that you know of?

Thx
Mike
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Crypto Fanatic needs Rig on: April 29, 2018, 02:32:59 PM
Hi guys,

I am doing hosted mining with ASIC's for quite a while but that's just so boring. Pretty much my whole live revolves around crypto, getting my own hardware is just the next step.

It's not about ROI. I wanna decide every day, what coin I wanna mine. What I want is a mining rig that is ready to go (I don't wanna build one), that's not too loud, so I can leave it in a room in my house and that is versatile, so I can use it for new, exciting coins when they come out first. I am not mining for short term gains, I mainly want those coins Smiley

I was hoping to stay under 3k USD (maybe 5) and get a decent MH/s bang for the buck. I liked the concept of the Pandaminer until I read the reviews.

Any advice?

Thanks
Mike
4  Other / Off-topic / File storage options and technology selection for accounting software on: April 25, 2018, 08:20:23 AM
Hi guys, I did read a lot but still have not find the optimum way of storing files and keeping the contents available for BI and DeepLearning feeds.

I got an accounting form as customer. They want to store files from their clients (invoices...). We will use OCR combined with manual classification and deep learning to automate the data extraction. This means, the files need to be accessible as we constantly have to check them for matches, once we learned a new format. So what we need is a fast, secure access.

What do you think is the best way of storing those files? We also need maximum temper-prove and secure of course. J

Ah, and as add-on question: What technology / blockchains would you be using for such a project?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Blockchain Education on: April 25, 2018, 06:20:22 AM
Hi guys,

I am running a small developer team and we are more and more moving towards blockchain development. I am technical, however, now I am more acting as business manager, CTO, bitch for everything...

I need to get to a point where I can decide, what blockchain suites which project (for data storage, AI, big-data, BI...) and I need to understand more of the rough technical backgrounds like lightning... not only for bitcoin but overall.

I went through all Udemy Courses and a few other ones but those are all just scratching the surface.

Can you recommend good courses, books or other resources in that regard? I don't need deep coding understanding, just from the architecture side.

Thanks for the help

6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Cloud Mining with Re-Invest - Killer Investment? on: November 22, 2017, 03:43:08 PM
Hi guys,

I am at Hashflare (200T for 30k) and am thinking about the re-invest. If I just take the BC, I will end up with around 8 of them after 1 Year after fees - worth, let's say 56k (BC at 7k when I sell - just for the math). When I reinvest daily, My Excel tells me that I can make up to 500k. Let's half that just to be sure. But also 132k seems like a really good gain, even when I have to wait a little longer to realise it. Am I missing something? Did anyone do a calculation for this inclusive the expected rise in difficulty?

My assumptions:
Each invest creates a new 1 year contract for the new amount
100% reinvestment over 1 year then 1 year or profit taking
BC profit per TH = 0,0001 BC
Bitcoin Price Average = 7,000 USD
Price per TH: 150 USD

Here the sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/179tfdknHROHfa1z7Cd6-o4dMcOgv4u7yGYFdOw2ZHAA/edit?usp=sharing

I also found this calculator: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ni4W6YkJdt8W9Hrn_S4qwFkQNeMNfdlmE8zjo70rgcI/edit#gid=685808914

I would love to get your opinions. Or even better, someone who can do a better calculation or has experience with this topic. I think, this could be a great investment.

Thanks

7  Economy / Digital goods / Udemy Course about Bots on: November 12, 2017, 03:40:06 PM
Hi guys,

what do you think about this course from EA Forex Academy?
https://www.udemy.com/cryptocurrency-never-loosing-formula-bitcoin-robot-trading/learn/v4/overview

He is recommending:

Platform: Metatrade 4
Marketplace: JFD Brokers - they have the Bticoin, with pretty tide spread and swap. You can use the Meta Trader platform also.

Any thoughts? And sure, manual trading is needed as well, I wanna use this as part of my trading portfolio.

Thanks

8  Bitcoin / Pools / Calculate Perfect Pool Mix on: November 12, 2017, 03:28:24 PM
Hi guys,

This is a 2 part question:

1: I wonder if it is possible to calculate the perfect pool mix. Is anyone doing this already? It could be a mathematical method or crowd-intelligence. If we can come up with a self-updating-answer (a formula), I could get some of my guys to develop software to calculate it - and share the results...

2: I am bringing up this topic as there are a lot of "Which mining pool to use" questions, and I actually have the same one. I tried different settings at Hashflare but can't seem to find the optimum. What are you guys using there for BTC and LTC?

Thanks

9  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Bitcoin transfer fee from Exodus to Trezor on: November 12, 2017, 03:04:28 PM
Hi guys,

is there a transfer fee if I move my bitcoins between my own wallets? I am using exodus for my transactions (mining income) and am planning to move then coins to Trezor once in a while. I can't figure out what the cost for that is.

Thanks
Mike
