1  Economy / Economics / The Modern Mode of Payments on: May 02, 2021, 03:21:28 PM

FIAT (Coins) --->  Electronic Money (Gcash, Paymaya, Paypal, etc...) ---> Digital Currency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, BCH, XRP, etc...)

Due to the spread of the Covid-19 virus in different countries, people have become aware that many viruses can be obtained from fiat money. That's why in our Country suddenly dropped the percentage of users of fiat money especially coins. And because of locked downs, people are just stay at home. So, they start their works online and also making transactions online, buying and selling online and instead of paying a cash money, they use electronic money for payments or even sending money for their love ones. Also, through this pandemic many people start using cryptocurrency where they can earn money as another source of income. So, making transactions outside is really difficult nowadays, but because we have a lot of modern types of mode of payments, no need to worry about that. We can make transaction easily just by using your phone, computer and other gadgets, with fast transaction, safe and hassle free because you just make transactions while stay at home, and away from VIRUSES. From Fiat money, we use electronic money and now digital currency is available to be used anytime. If we have friends who don’t know about digital currency, we can help them understand and learn about it so that they can use it as well and at the same time we can help the demand of bitcoin and other digital currencies to increase.
2  Economy / Economics / Covid virus 2021 on: April 06, 2021, 03:53:00 PM
March 2020 when covid virus spread in our country that caused a couple of months of a total lockdown. Many people lost their job and others are now investing in crypto and joining some campaign just to earn money and continue living. Last month of March this year 2021, finally, there are already a vaccine and many Frontliner's are now vaccinated.
But why this time the number of Covid positive in our Country are increasing with new variant of Covid Virus? It seems that this pandemic has no end...There is also another lockdown. It's so sad and difficult!
What will happen to us and to our economy?
Do you think this virus will not stop?
What about in your Country?

I think now, much better to stay at home and focus on crypto rather than trying to find another job which is very impossible at this moment.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / When will the Ethereum Gas Fee go down? on: February 08, 2021, 11:15:28 AM
It's so difficult to make a single transactions now under Ethereum blockchain. A very high gas fees are killing small investors and traders. But miners would love to see gas fees going to the moon because they benefited from it. However, this is not good for Ethereum in the long run, their users/consumers are suffering but their miners are enjoying this high gas fees.
Also, Ethereum competitors will surely grab this high gas fees opportunity. It's not good.
When will the Ethereum gas fee go down? Anyone knows?
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What has bitcoin done to you? on: December 29, 2020, 03:28:33 PM
Many believe, but many are also skeptical of bitcoin.

From the very beginning of bitcoin until the last 2017 when it reached the first ATH, many people believed but after 2017, the doubts in other people’s hearts are rising. There are many negatives news and accusation you will hear and read about bitcoin. Many say this is just a scam. Many also predicted that it would not rise again but some still believed that bitcoin would rise.

Because bitcoin suddenly collapsed after 2017 ATH, many people sold their bitcoin even in losing out of fear.

Now, bitcoin proved how valuable it is. Bitcoin has risen unexpectedly and is still rising today and we do not know how far or how long it will stay on top.

Blessed are those who believe in bitcoin and are confident of waiting for its new development that will pave the way for more being more valuable. But while some are now enjoying the fruits of their patience and investing in bitcoin, others are deeply regretted because they did not save bitcoin when it was still at a low price.

Honestly, I am one of those who regret that I did not buy and hold when the price was still low, also due to lack of adequate investment. So next time I will not hesitate to buy and hold it. I just hope I have enough money to buy when its value goes down again.

What has bitcoin done to you? Is it Happiness or Regret?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / BTC reached another ATH, what about ETH? on: December 16, 2020, 03:25:18 PM
If bitcoin made a new All Time High record now in the crypto market, do you think  Ethereum will also follow and break it's ATH last year January 2018 which is more than $1000?

We have always observed that if bitcoin rises in value, most altcoins follow as well. Even now that bitcoin has reached another ATH, altcoins are also increasing and now, market is in green celebrating the bitcoins new record.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin is my Bank on: December 13, 2020, 02:29:50 PM
Due to the covid 19 pandemic, I lost my job and my bank account was closed because I withdrew all my remaining balance to buy our necessities, at that time I was looking for another alternative to lost job in order to support my family's needs . Until I start trading bitcoin with small capital and thanks God because with the help of cryptocurrency we can continue to survive from the difficult time of pandemic.

Now I have accumulated a small amount to be able to reopen a bank account but I think that instead of opening a new bank account, it is be better to just buy and invest in bitcoin so that I can expect more profit than the traditional bank.

I know that investing in bitcoin is risky but I also believe that bitcoin has a good future.

I just hope I made the right decision.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Millennials’ impact on the future of digital assets. on: December 11, 2020, 07:56:51 AM
I just thought from the first year of the creation of bitcoin until now, it continues to grow despite the government's rejection and many people do not know about it. Now that the popularity of bitcoin is increasing as its value rises, we can see how important and useful it is.

Due to the continued popularity of bitcoin, it is now also included in the subjects of students at various universities for advanced knowledge.
Many investors are coming along with Billionaires and Millionaires and some big companies

Now there is another indicator of growing adoption of bitcoin through Millennials and young investors because they are sure that they will become interested in bitcoin because of the benefits it can give them. The impact of this Millennial in crypto currency is really great. The future of bitcoin is in the hands of Millennials who in turn will pass it on to the next generations.

Quote
Prince said he expects crypto to “grow as a share of that alternatives bucket.”

“Crypto-invested Millennials is an insanely valuable group [...] These are people who were ahead of this trend.”

During the discussion, Prince identified three major Bitcoin adoption trends that are inextricably linked to Millennials and younger investors: The ongoing wealth transfer from Baby Boomers to the young via inheritances, the growth of alternative assets and shifting preference for everything digital.

8  Economy / Speculation / Recent Bitcoin Correction on: November 27, 2020, 08:39:19 AM
After a $19K value of bitcoin this month of November 2020 it suddenly down and now it played at the value of $16K in the market. Why it's so fast for downtrend of bitcoin?

Quote
There are two key trends caused the recent Bitcoin correction. First, whales began to sell BTC at around $19,000, resulting in a downside volatility spike. Second, this relatively small price drop triggered a cascading wave of liquidations in an overleveraged futures market.

Ki Young Ju, the CEO of CryptoQuant, said that more corrections might come in the short term.

“More $BTC corrections might come. All Exchanges Inflow Mean (144-block MA) remains still high. In my opinion, we’ll face some corrections/sideways this week and it will break $20k by December this year. I’ll stack some sats a few days after.”

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-s-price-correction-may-not-be-over-on-chain-data-analysts-warn

If it was true that there are more bitcoin correction to come, then I think, it is a good time to buy more again before the another bitcoin ATH will come.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin and Crypto Tax Implementation on: November 27, 2020, 08:12:42 AM
Bitcoin is already more than ten years of existence now and many changes in the development of bitcoin continue to occur today and as the day goes by, bitcoin become more valuable and useful. Government is always aware of that for sure that's why they always find away on how to take advantage of bitcoin despite its decentralization. Taxation is what they want to imposed. I think no body can escape if the tax for bitcoin and other crypto asset will become implemented by next year 2021. If one country start and become successful for implementing tax, then I think other country will follow.

OECD tax director says international crypto tax standards are coming in 2021.
Pascal Saint-Amans, the director of the OECD’s Centre for Tax Policy and Administration, has asserted that the 37-nation organization will introduce a common reporting standard, or CRS, for crypto assets in 2021.

According to Law360, Amans stated that the crypto tax standard “would be roughly equivalent to the CRS” developed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development to combat tax evasion.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ripple and Bitcoin on: November 20, 2020, 03:43:13 AM
I read some post here in the forum that Ripple will replace bitcoin...is it true? Let's find out....
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5271101.0

Quote
According to the Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse “I don’t view what Ripple is doing as somehow competitive with Bitcoin. I want Bitcoin to be successful.”

Ripple’s Brad Garlinghouse wants bitcoin to succeed after all.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/ripple-s-brad-garlinghouse-wants-bitcoin-to-succeed-after-all

It is clear that  Ripple isn't trying to compete with Bitcoin but we still want to see both this two different digital coin to become successful in crypto space. Let's support both of them and enjoy the benefits they bring to us. Bitcoin now is still striving to reach the past ATH and Ripple also increasing it's value from the past few days.

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Survey of Millionaires finds 73% own or want to invest in crypto on: November 19, 2020, 09:10:56 AM
Yesterday bitcoin already reached $18,000 which is near to the last 2017 ATH. It shows how important bitcoin is  after 2017 ATH then suddenly crashed and  now coming back to catch up again or maybe even exceed its ATH. Bitcoin is really valuable and the demand on it keep on increasing. Some big companies are now adopting and allowing cryptocurrency buying and selling like Paypal and Square.  And now not only big companies but also millionaires want to buy and use cryptocurrencies. I think, nothing can stop the continued increase in adoption of bitcoin.

Quote
The number of millionaires wanting to buy cryptocurrencies is on the rise, with a new survey indicating that 73% want to own digital assets before the end of 2022.

“As the survey shows, this impressive performance is drawing the attention of wealthy investors who increasingly understand that digital currencies are the future of money and they don’t want to be left in the past.”

12  Economy / Speculation / Will Bitcoin be Trade at $318,000 by End of 2021? on: November 18, 2020, 11:21:53 AM
Bitcoin now reached $18k value which is near at the last ATH value. However there are some people that predicts more than the value of last time ATH.

Citibank Executive Says Bitcoin Will Trade at $318,000 by End of 2021

Citibank Group’s Global head of Citifxtechnicals product, Tom Fitzpatrick expects to see the price of bitcoin peaking at $318,000 by end of 2021. Although he concedes that his prediction might seem improbable, Fitzpatrick argues that such a surge will still be the weakest rally for the digital asset when compared to other assets such as gold. He also adds that bitcoin is all about the”unthinkable rallies followed by painful corrections.” Bitcoin will see huge price swings before finally settling at the predicted price suggests Fitzpatrick.

The Citibank boss cites some of bitcoin’s key attributes which include the digital currency’s “limited supply, ease of movement across borders, and opaque ownership.”

Is there any truth in what Citibank Executive said? What  do you think guys?
13  Other / Off-topic / Electricity, Internet and Mobile Network on: November 14, 2020, 11:07:02 AM
Electricity is a form of energy. Electricity is the flow of electrons. All matter is made up of atoms, and an atom has a center, called a nucleus. The nucleus contains positively charged particles called protons and uncharged particles called neutrons.

Internet access is the ability of individuals and organizations to connect to the Internet using computer terminals, computers, and other devices; and to access services such as email and the World Wide Web. Internet access is sold by Internet service providers (ISPs) delivering connectivity at a wide range of data transfer rates via various networking technologies. Many organizations, including a growing number of municipal entities, also provide cost-free wireless access and landlines.

Mobile networks
A cellular network or mobile network is a communication network where the last link is wireless. ... These base stations provide the cell with the network coverage which can be used for transmission of voice, data, and other types of content.

Edit: The above meaning of electricity, Internet Access and Mobile networks is just a meaning I got from Google and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_access. I just put the meaning of that for additional knowledge and understanding.

Hello guys...I just want to share with you what happened two days ago. The typhoon Ulysses has ravaged our country especially in our area that time. At the middle of the night where we experienced strong winds and rain when we suddenly lose electric power and at the same time lose internet connection. After a whole night of strong winds and rain, there was high flooding elsewhere but I thank God that we were not flooded in the area where we live. Many people  affected by the flood are asking for immediate help and relief because they are at risk of being flooded. Many friends and relatives are worried but sadly because there was no communication at those times. There is no electricity, no internet, and the signal for mobile network is very weak. You can't connect to anyone because all online connection are down for more than 24hours and even now other places which very affected still no have power supply. I have Ethereum in my wallet and I want to cash out and exchange fiat money to spend and buy our foods but I can’t because there is no electricity anywhere and even the remittance center are affected and cannot process the transaction. You can't even buy food and other necessities online. The situation is very difficult.

Electricity, Internet and Mobile Network are the major important to consider for all online transactions and communications because we are in a new generation which almost everyone uses a computer, phones, and other gadgets which also needs electricity and internet connection. It will further affect our economy and digital currency, business establishments will not be able to operate and transact, those with online jobs will not be able to work, we will not be able to trade, invest, and use bitcoin and other digital currency and crypto currency will become worthless.

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Importance of Bitcoin during the Pandemic on: August 12, 2020, 05:32:12 PM
Bitcoin is a famous and valuable digital currency in crypto world. Many hackers using it on their evil deeds, that's why many people says that bitcoin is useful for criminals and people involved with them. But despite that, bitcoins value keep on increasing and many others also said that bitcoin is important because of the technology that makes it work.

During this time that we are experiencing difficulties because of pandemic ,I can say that bitcoin is what we really need. Why? What is the importance of bitcoin now?
     >Bitcoin is so important during this time of pandemic that we need to take care of ourselves and for our families and loved ones to not be infected with the virus.

     >Bitcoin is intangible, you can't touch or handle it unlike fiat money that hold by different hands and it is prone to viruses.

     >Bitcoin serves as an instrument for online payments away from covid 19 and with the ability to transact internationally beyond the framework of financial regulation.

     >Millions of people have lost their job because of this pandemic. Why not use this bitcoin as a substitute to your work in order to earn money to sustain the needs of your family.
I know  there are other ways to earn but in terms of safety from virus outside our home much better to earn money using bitcoin. Also, there are many ways to earn it.

During this pandemic we need to: Stay at Home
                                                     Stay Safe
Stay Positive and Earn with Bitcoin
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Rise of Bitcoin on: July 28, 2020, 04:58:11 PM
We can see the new surge of bitcoin in crypto market . It exceed $10K  again and I believe many are earning now especially those with holding during the downtrend of bitcoin. But,to what extent bitcoin will raise more today?
Do you think ,what happened last 2018 will happen again this coming months?
What are the reason behind the rise of bitcoin?

Edit: Sorry for putting a wrong number on the value of bitcoin, I didn't mean it. It is just above $10K and not $500K.
I wrote this topic just for discussion in order to know the opinion and knowledge of everyone.
