Xubuntu 10.10 / Follwed the Instruction here everything fine & installed.

I am very new to the Linux World so please excuse if i ask quesions which have been answered already..

But it is very important to me to solve this problem and i searchd alot up to now , but couldn`t solve it myself..


I have to encode around 80,000 files to WMV9 , 25frames , 720x576, 4000bitrate, audio 192 from one folder to another..

I have installed FFmpeg and all dependencies etc (I assume) and winfFF gui..i have to work with the GUI is i will still need some time to get accustomed to the console But WinFF still shows only WMV2 but i need WMV 9 ?

I Have medibuntu stuff installed !


SO can somebody explain my how i can get all files from /home/downloads/d/mpeg2 encoded to /home/downloads/d/wmv/ for example?

What is the command line parameter?

Meine Herren meine Damen..

ich habe seit 3 wochen 10rechner a 4x5870  in München stehen..

Erst mit linuxcoin USB bootable..dann mit ubuntu 11.04 ..dann mit windows 7 endlich und dummy plugs..

aber irgendwas geht dauernd nicht..immer wenn ein problem gelöst ist kommt das nächste und obwohl ich IT systemtechniker war vor einiger zeit blick ichs echt nicht mehr und bin am verzweifeln

also falls da draussen irgendwo ein Hardware & linux/windows checker (vor allem die hardware spinnt zur zeit) sitzt der mir hilft mein system endlich auf die theorietisch erreichbaren 17,5ghash zu bringen & das mal länger als nur 12 stunden..würde ich mich ÄUSSERST erkenntlich zeigen !

vielleicht finden sich ja auch 2 die ein team bilden !  für denjenigen der das schafft winkt evtl (wenn BTC durchstartet) ein längerer vertrag weil ich aj schon so einiges vorhabe mit btw ^^

I just nearly killed myself the last days getting linuxcoin to work on my rigs !

but as it doesnt work and i loose valuable time i decided to get a few hotswap HDD`S and install win7 enterprixe x64 on them!   I use 4x5870 (Sapphire,XFX,Powercolor) with them!

Can someone tell me please which drivers and oc tools i need to install?

I want to run phoenix + phoenix rising GUI!

because i know windows and how to ahndle it ..so my rig sshoudl finally work this evening !
