1  Economy / Collectibles / Polymerbit Notes - Satoshi's Place UK on: October 21, 2022, 09:29:06 AM
Firstly we want to say a big thanks to Daniel / PolymerBit for these unbelieve notes and for taking the time to visit us! Stay tuned for some very exciting potential future developments!

Daniel suggested we could look at either selling a few of the notes or auctioning them to raise some funds for the hub.

We're posting here to showcase the notes and hope to update this page soon for any folk interested in getting a note!

Take a look at these!

We have notes ES003/ES004/ES005/ES006 available (We'll have a few one display at the hub aswell!)

Lastly, imagine in the future we could do this ---> https://twitter.com/SatoshisPlaceUK/status/1578885029757087745Grin Stay tuned as physical bitcoin note IRL use is in discussion!

2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Satoshi’s Place, U.K. Bury, Greater Manchester on: July 15, 2022, 11:16:11 PM
**** OPENING 16th September ****
Hey,

Not sure where best to post this really but I am working to open a Bitcoin Hub in the UK which will be based in Bury, Greater Manchester.

Our goal is to Educate and onboard users into the Bitcoin space, of course we will be an actual business so will also be taking dirty fiat to pay the bills and suppliers!

We’ll have weekly workshops, a lightning bar, a lightning arcade, art space (Yes NFTs!), a custom lightning drinks menu (Including Brave Bull, Minetini, Gold rush etc) and plenty more on the planning!

Currently funding will cover us to open 3 days a week, probably 16:30/17:00 to 22:30 Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

The workshop and event schedule will be added to our site (and updated here) once we are open.

I’ve been screwed many times by the banks and expect to be again but my thought is that we’ll need this eventually so why not now!

This is the website: https://satoshisplace.co.uk/

This is the twitter: https://twitter.com/satoshisplaceuk

The final parts to take place & complete before we can set an opening date:

- Interviews, essential is Bar staff but we’d ideally hiring a chef aswell
- Funding to buy some final equip, projector/screen & laptops are essential but TVs, custom beers & outdoor signage are ideal
- Fibre install (Up to 28 day install time) Ideally we’d like the Fibre setup before opening as this is a USP for hot-desking, for visitors and we think a must for workshops.

4  Economy / Goods / Looking for Event Merchandise / Unique Goods on: September 16, 2021, 09:25:41 AM
Ok,

We are building the 'goodies' list for our range of VIP and UVIP bags and are looking for unique goodies to buy to include in these bags.

There will be around 200 VIP bags and 10 UVIP bags

Bags already have some goodies (Won't be revealed until the event). Don't have a crazy budget!

Had some awesome stuff over the years from this forum from Bitcoin forks, Crypto soap, scratch cards, bitcoin stress balls and physical coins.

If you have any ideas of merch let us know.
5  Economy / Collectibles / RFNFT - NFC Encoded Physical prints with redeemable NFT artwork on: June 25, 2021, 12:01:54 PM
The first in a range of upcoming collaborations in our RFNFT project is our "Bitopian Collection" with artwork produced by Lee Holland this collection will be available in A3 framed format and encoded in 2 editions, these are built on the WAX platform:

1st edition: Physical framed print + Redeemable NFT Artwork via an embedded NFC chip

2nd edition: Physical framed print + NFC Cold-wallet embedded, NFT Artwork

The video shows the first set of posters : https://vimeo.com/531140085

We also have an OpenSea (ETH) edition coming out, this is built as a cold-wallet embedded NFC chip poster, which at anytime can claim the NFT artwork to its encoded ETH address.

We're continually working to push the limits of our projects, we're working to have our RFNFT / NFT-Redeem project used simultaneously by 3rd parties & 10s of thousands of users, we've passed the tests for 100k users with 100k unique redeemers, next step 1 million redeemers!

We've got a bunch of collaborations in the pipeline  so stay tuned for updates.

Posters are built with a 2FA process in place ensuring that if the physical artwork is lost or stolen (Or the chip is scanned in transit) the NFT can't be redeemed or ETH address isn't compromised.

We've already sent some posters out to UMG in the US who have said the process on redeeming is seamless, its for this reason we're ensuring scalability.

Our printers directly embed the chips for us and can run up to 5 million prints at a time within a matter of weeks.

16  Economy / Gambling / Arcade claw machine - converted to accept Bitcoin on: April 16, 2017, 04:03:23 PM
Hey guys,

Someone suggested I cross post in to this board. I converted an old arcade claw machine to accept Bitcoin and got it stocked with merchandise from The Bitcoin Store (caps, socks, tshirts etc).

I showed it at CoinFestUK on April 7/8 it had a great response (and plenty of people won stuff - they mostly wanted the Bitcoin socks). I'm hoping to have this machine in a tech working space to help promote Bitcoin

See the main thread here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1868712

17  Bitcoin / Project Development / CryptoGrabber - A physical arcade claw machine converted to accept Bitcoin on: April 13, 2017, 03:40:59 PM
Hey everyone,

Just thought I would write-up one of my side projects I received a very positive response about it at CoinFestUK. I purchased and converted (With financial help from Scott at BittyBot) an arcade claw machine to accept Bitcoin payments and I am working with The Bitcoin Store to stock (and keep stocked!) the machine with Bitcoin merchandise (T-shirts, hats, caps and socks). The machine had an awesome response at CoinFestUK with many attendees playing (and winning) the machine.

I have attached some photos to give you an idea of what the machine looks like but we have some professional photos on the way so they'll be posted when they arrive. I did have the RaspberryPi installed into the box you can see on the front of the machine but accidentally installed the screen the wrong way and fried the Pi. I had the machine graphics re-done (From the original claw graphics) by the awesome Lee Holland! (https://twitter.com/LeeDRHolland) they fit well and everyone liked them.

I have created a twitter account @bitcoingrabber to post updates on the machine as we have had interest on hosting the machine at other events. I will soon be working on posting on Reddit and getting a website set up.
