Question about mining various cryptocurrencies?

Is there a different hard drive/equipment needed to mine each currency?

As each one does have a different rate of processing as Bitcoin is a slower one vs Etherum

etc.

would there be a price difference in mining a lower end Currency for equipment and running times?

Ok I was wanting to sign up to some more crypto exchanges and buying sites but I got freaked out by the ID verification process
as don't want to get scammed etc

I am in Canada, so was looking at various sites good for Canadians

at moment I have invested in EThereum and Bitcoin.

I know at time of this message there are over 1300 coins out there, even more, and yes many may not be real or fraud or of value.

in general, what do you look for to determine if its a real deal?

Hi i am just starting in the whole cryptocurrency thing. having invested some bit coins and ether, just learning
recently been looking at the Canada Ecoin
i know small value but thinking of investing?
thoughts about the Canada Ecoin, i know everything is a risk
but do you think maybe this other one might increase in value one day? maybe not like bit coin did but others?
