Would be willing to sell a complete 5x 5850 mining rig for $1500. Currently gets 1.5 Gh/s, could get more with a devoted bios tweaker. Includes a mobo/cpu/ram from below, 5x XFX 5850s, AX1200 PSU, custom aluminum case, and 3 120mm cooling fans:

GPUs sold, though I can still build a system for a 5830 based rig.

During construction and testing:

Or... selling all my mining gear, step by step. First up:
14 Sapphire 5830s Xtreme $130 each sold
2x Asus EAH5850s $190 each sold
1x Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 with 2.7Ghz AMD Sempron and 1 gig of ram - $160 sold

I have the packaging for everything still:

None of the cards have seen above 80c peak temps, and only then during testing. They never hit above 75c while running and usually run at or below 70c. Half of the systems have been running since early June, the other half have been running since late July.

Shipping is on you, I can ship USPS or UPS and wont be turning a profit on it. CONUS ONLY. Should run about $20ish for the power supplies (big boxes) and about $15 for everything else. Payment via paypal is preferred.

2  Economy / Goods / Feeler: Selling 5x 5 GPU rigs, complete on: August 14, 2011, 01:47:29 AM
I have a move to Hawaii coming up and mining just isn't cost-efficient there. I have 5 systems here, with 5 GPUs each I would like to sell.

2 systems with 5x XFX 5850 - Does ~1.5 Gh/s - Would like to get $2500 USD each
3 systems with 5x Sapphire 5830s - Does about 1.4 Gh/s - Would like to get $2000 USD each

and I have one system with a mish-mash of GPUs that I'm going to hold on to a bit longer.

Each system has a gigabyte motherboard with 5 PCI slots, a custom aluminum case that holds all five cards, and extenders. Each is powered by Corsair AX1200 PSUs. These are gold rated 90+ efficiency. Black power button, red reset button, and a blue power LED on the front panel. These systems all run off of a 2 gigabyte thumbdrive. Some have 4 gig sticks in them, which will be included as well. CPUs are all 2.7Ghz AMD Semprons, 1 gigabyte of ram.

Cases are 17.75 inches wide by 8.5 inches high. They fit in 5U's of space very nicely. The 5850s are overclocked to various degrees, achieving between 300 and 400 Mh/s each. The 5830s are all stock. None of the cards have seen above 80c peak temps, and only then during testing. They never hit above 75c while running and usually run at or below 70c. Each case has three 120mm fans on the front and some cases have cutouts on the back for two 120mm exhaust fans, although they have been removed due to not being needed. Air is currently forced in via the front fans and is naturally pushed out through the rear openings, where it was exhausted and either wound up going to the inlet of the AC unit or exhausted outside.

They are currently running a custom management script, but I will put something else on them when they are sold, one of the more widely used systems that has popped up on the forum in the last few weeks. Still undecided on which one I will use though. These systems all run Archlinux headless and start mining automatically upon boot.

Prices are negotiable. Located near Springfield, MO, USA. I will also offer 30 days of support once you receive the unit(s) although you probably wont need it. Not interested in parting out the systems.

Pics below. Not all systems have buttons and LEDs installed yet. The custom cables are made, just waiting for more buttons to get in:

During construction and testing:

I still have the original packaging for everything. Half of the systems have been running since early June, the other half have been running since late July:

3  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / What makes miners work unique? on: June 15, 2011, 06:44:47 AM
When pooled mining, I'm assuming every worker is using the same pool address for the reward, so thats a constant. Is the only thing that makes each miners hashes unique the timestamp + the nonce?
4  Other / Obsolete (buying) / Need an XFX 5850 fan on: May 30, 2011, 01:22:46 AM
Brand new XFX 5850 broke a fan blade and instead of dealing with a return and most likely a refund instead of an exchange, I'd like to get a fan assembly from someone. I know it's a long shot but it might still pay out Smiley
5  Bitcoin / Mining / Archliunx setup help on: May 24, 2011, 12:39:50 PM
Anyone currently mining on arch? I seem to be having issues with catalyst and fglrx not loading. I'll post up some more detailed info when I get home and have access to the machine again but in the meantime I figured I'd ask. aticonfig can see my card, so maybe its not an fglrx issue? I also remember reading somewhere that I need to remove and blacklist the radeon module and use the fglrx one, but I can't find that forum post again.

If anyone has set this up on Arch, could you please post a list of what you had to do? Thanks Smiley
6  Bitcoin / Mining / Multiple computers on one pool, with minimum network overhead on: May 21, 2011, 05:20:19 PM
I have a few computers in my house that I would like to mine on a pool with, but I only want one computer communicating with the pool to limit bandwidth usage. Would pushpool be what I need to do this? Thanks Smiley
