2  Bitcoin / Mining / CNBC Covering Bitcoin Mining on: April 16, 2014, 03:57:30 PM
CNBC covers Bitcoin Mining with two different miners here: http://www.cnbc.com/id/101586310

One's a basement miner with one partner and the other is a cloud hashing company with racks of miners selling shares.

Interestingly enough, most of the ASICs in the video for both miners are Cointerra and Butterfly Labs boxes.  I would have thought there would be some representation for Bitmain Antminers or others.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Newbie Post - Issues connecting to a backup p2pool server... on: July 01, 2013, 11:27:13 PM
Since I'm a newbie and can't post a reply in the appropriate topic for MacMiner, I'll post this here first...

I've been running MacMiner with BFG Miner (BTC) and CPU Miner (LTC) on my Mac Pro with a ATI/AMD 5770 using the P2Pool Fabulous Panda defaults... so far so good, but I've been seeing connection refused errors for the backup P2Pool nogleg.com for BFG Miner.

First, is this "normal/known" that this pool is down or do I need to do some funky Port shuffling to get a connection going?

Any good alternative P2Pool hosts I can plug in the config file as the backup instead of this apparently dead connection?

Thanks for any replies in advance...
