2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nvidia cards throttling at low temps on: March 22, 2018, 03:08:03 PM
1080ti Palit Gamerock

When they run at 40-50 degrees, they max out and run stable at around 1936-1974mhz. As soon as they reach around 63 degrees, they start throttling and drop 50-70mhz from core, which results in less sol/`s.

Simplemining OS (SMOS)
zcash with bminer

Power limit 215
Target temp. 80 degress

Any idea why? Nvidia cards are supposed to throttle only at around 84 degrees  Huh
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Difficulty chart tracker on: March 09, 2018, 10:28:07 AM
I know you can check on CoinWarz, but you have to click each coin to see it. Is there a website which tracks difficulties of mineable coins, where you can sort by most increase, biggest drop etc?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How to check if pool is not stealing from me? on: February 24, 2018, 08:48:44 PM
Good evening everybody,

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is this good performance for 1080ti on zcash? on: February 09, 2018, 08:10:59 PM
Hello guys,

Im running 8 x 1080ti (7 x Palit Gamerock +1 x Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme) cards on ethos, mining zcash with DSTM miner. Just started mining few days ago, would like to check if I`m getting best performance from my cards? I`m not after max hashrate, but good balance between performance and power consumption.

I tried lot of different settings, green ones are best, I`m using ones from column O. Thanks.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 1080 vs 1080ti performance difference on: February 04, 2018, 07:29:23 PM
Guys,

How much worse in % 1080 is compared to 1080ti? Difference in price is big enough to consider 1080, but let`s say Zcash, what would be the differences in sol/s between them?

Thank you
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 12 card rig, 3 server psu +PICO on: January 22, 2018, 07:43:22 PM
Hello everyone Smiley

I`m wondering if I have connected everything correctly. I have twelve 1080ti cards.

3 x 1200w server psu with breakout boards
PICO psu to power mobo/ssd.

PSU No.1. will power cards +their risers
PSU No.1 will power cards +their risers
PSU No.3 will power cards +their risers +PICO.

My most worrying part is No.3. This is how I intend to connect everything. Is this correct? How do I get all 3 server psu`s to start at the same time? Or if I can`t, in what sequences I should start them?

My motherboard is BIOSTAR TB250-BTC PRO

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Steel or wooden rig frame? Electrics. on: January 07, 2018, 11:08:46 AM
Guys,

I see so many wooden frames, all working fine, but I recently read few posts where electricians are insisting on aluminium/steel frames because of something to do with how electrics work.

Any comments?

I`m looking to use wooden frame, is that a problem?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Powering 6+8 or 8+8 cards with server PSUs on: January 05, 2018, 05:49:38 PM
Guys,

Need some help regarding power. 1080ti cards require 6+8 or 8+8 connectors, 6 cards in total. But breakout boards only come with 6 pin connectors?

Also, how much power is consumed by PCI riser?

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Suggest a ver 008 riser with molex on the end on: January 02, 2018, 11:48:34 AM
Hi everyone,

Struggling to find version 008 riser with molex on the end, they all seem to have SATA on the end and molex on side.

Anybody seen such?

Thanks
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How much RAM for rig? on: January 01, 2018, 07:17:58 PM
Hello guys in 2018,

Cannot get my head around how much RAM is required for Windows 10 machine. Some say 4GB is enough, but those are systems with RX4xx cards. Some say if you are going for more than 4 x 1080ti or Vega 56, you need 16GB.

Can somebody comment how much and why it needs?

Thank you!
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / All high power PSU`s available on: December 31, 2017, 01:35:37 PM
Happy New Year!

I definitely want to use just one PSU per rig I`m planning, to power five or more 1080ti / Vega 64 cards.

After some research I compiled list of all high power PSU`s available. Might be useful to somebody else here!

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Suggest GPU on: November 29, 2017, 01:47:34 PM
Hi guys,

I`m new to mining, been reading a lot lately to get understanding how it works. I have spare money to invest, looking to build a rig. But my problem is - AMD or nvidia GPU`s? As per current pricing/availability looking at 1060 or RX580 cards - about 15 in total. Why these? To me they look best price/performance/payback time ratio. Which GPU is able to mine wider range of coins? As coin I`m mining increases in difficulty, I would like to switch to other one. But apparently some coins are mined much better on AMD, some on nvidia. Dilemma.

Thanks
