1  Economy / Gambling / Primedice vs Dicebitco vs Edendice on: August 12, 2014, 04:04:50 AM
They've all got something different to bring to the table.

Primedice is certainly well established and trusted.
Dicebitco offers an investment option
Edendice does 30% profit shares.

Let the polls reveal the winner.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Value Now Vs Later on: August 08, 2014, 03:34:22 AM
Ive been into the altcoin market for a while now. Initially it was seen as a 'lost cause' and 'non profitable'
but hey, that's exactly what they said about bitcoin.

Ive never invested actually dollars into altcoins but i've traded with them via bitcoin and collected free handouts when coins first started up.
The profit yield is rather high now. At the time 100s of 1 coin would be worth like 1 dollar if cashed out to bitcoin then into your home currency, now its something like 100 bucks. All for free.

The point I want to bring up is the complete irrelevance of the value of the altcoin at the moment. The only thing that matters is staying consistent. I mean, don't get me wrong, it would be great if the value on certain coins would shoot up the way that bitcoin did, but perhaps anti-productive..

Say your altcoin is worth 0.001 btc. The value doesn't need to go up in order for it to be valuable. The price of bitcoin just needs to go up (which it probably will) and as long as it keeps the current value of 1coin/0.001btc the value still goes up.

Remember- its all psychological. If people support a coin- it will hold value. Keep interest in the coin long enough for the price of bitcoin to go up, and you may have just made a good amount of money.
3  Economy / Digital goods / [WTB] Minecraft game code on: August 03, 2014, 04:46:01 AM
I want Minecraft for my PC.
Looking to trade BTC for the download code. Escrow would be cool.
Make an offer.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Adventures in failure on: November 27, 2013, 02:54:28 PM
I got into BTC about a half a year ago. It was a lot of fun, but I didn't want to spend my own money on it. (1st foolish mistake)

I found numerous ways to make free btc however. First, dust collecting, then gradually started finding better ways to get my free BTC.

Over the course of about 4 months, I collected and won approximately 7 or 8 btc in total.
I also started getting into alt coins, flipping them for extra BTC. I was around when anoncoin first launched and had a major hunch that they would be worth something someday. I had about 100+ anoncoins collected for free as well.

About 2 months ago, however, I was leaving the state for job training in welding and wasn't going to have internet access. I needed the extra cash so i cashed out ALL of my btc and anoncoins, giving me about $700 dollars. (2nd foolish mistake)

Now, home for the holidays, I log onto the computer and notice that the BTC price is upwards of $900 and anoncoins are worth about 0.003 btc.

I cashed out approximately $7500 worth of coin for a measly $700. Sad

To think, checking the computer everyday for a couple months was worth half a years salary (on a min wage job)

BTC is fucking crazy, and I really, really, really wish I would've kept my coins. Live and learn I suppose.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Faster transactions? on: August 31, 2013, 08:13:31 AM
Did I miss something lately?

All of my transactions the last few days have been extremely fast. I send an amount and it's nearly an instant confirmation. I was wondering if there was some recent upgrade in the blockchain or something that is speeding things up?
6  Economy / Currency exchange / [CLOSED] WTB: 0.5 BTC for bank transfer (escrow + suggestions welcome) on: August 15, 2013, 09:38:59 PM
I have 50 dollars I want to spend to get 0.5 btc, flat rate.
(willing to negotiate price within 5 dollars USD either way)

I have the cash loaded into a card which I can transfer over to another bank account, or go about it some other fashion, if I agree with the suggestion.

Escrow preferred.

Thanks! Smiley

[edit: I am verified on coinbase, so if no offers/suggestions come before 12:00am EST, I will delete this post and use that method]
7  Economy / Service Discussion / Coinurl- Malware? on: July 25, 2013, 11:23:19 AM
Normally I would not notice this, but I use coinchat to discuss bitcoin stuff (and other things) and there are a few coinurl ads on there. Randomly the site picked up 'malware ahead: coinurl'

So I went and checked it out, and apparently google has flagged coinurl for malware now? (Im using chrome btw)
If so, awesome! I hate coinurl.
8  Economy / Gambling / Which site gave you the most profit? on: July 23, 2013, 01:52:06 PM
There are plenty of places to gamble your coin, and more are added seemingly everyday.

Which gambling site gave you the highest profit in return?

11  Economy / Currency exchange / WTS- 0.5 BTC for $40 paypal (CLOSED) on: July 21, 2013, 11:59:02 AM
I get that paypal is a sketchy business with bitcoin, but I found myself in a position needing some USD rather quickly and all I've got are these bitcoins.

Willing to trade 0.5 BTC for $40 in my paypal.
Any suggestions for some sort of escrow are welcome, as I haven't done this before.

Thanks!
