So I sent a claim in as soon as they brought the page up, I submitted 2 tickets over 72 hours ago and haven't heard a single thing nor received a response from them yet.. It sucks because I had a decent amount of USD in there I wanted to trade with and now I can't do squat, and I don't even know if my money is still on the account of what.

If I don't hear anything soon I guess I have to assume its stolen and go through legal action since it's USD stolen and not BTC?

I think its high time with all this bitcoin (trojans, worms, physical) theft and whatnot that there be a mandatory requirement that each wallet.dat have a password on it in order to open it up. The password is completely tied to the wallet.dat . Anytime you want to change the password, you have to put in its current one. If you forget your password you gotta brute force it yourself.. The encryption though could be modular so there could be hundreds, if not thousands of types password methods to input and remember extremely long character passwords.


second, if you send a transaction now, it takes wayyyy wayyy longer to get 120 block confirmations than it did -- say 1 month ago even.. This needs to change. Screw it, even if it takes a 1 or 2 decimal hit right now it brings us that much closer to better microtransactions and more confirmations and 50 bitcoins can still be awarded so people don't feel like mining isn't profitable

I've spent the past month talking to a lot of the BitCoin community and finding out what they wanted to know more about. . . Found some things that most BitCoin users didn't know ANYTHING about, and then threw it all together in an easy to read e-book. The type of book you can open up time and time again when you need a reliable reference. Beyond that, some of the people to whom I've shown the early release say it's better than the BitCoin wiki.

Of course as things are constantly changing, I realized that the book would have to be updated fairly frequently... So I divided it into a constantly updated members' webpage and the e-book which will receive gradual updates as BitCoin changes. tldr; Made a BitCoin pay-to-join website that fully explains everything there is to know about BitCoin that even a cave-person could understand. Earn BTC or USD referring friends to signup and earn commission on those that they refer as well (two-tiered referral system).
