81  Economy / Services / [Need Help] Finding a Good Domain Name! 0.05 BTC Reward! on: February 20, 2014, 03:35:34 AM
Hey! I am in the process of creating a new project! The idea of the project is kicstarter for Bitcoin. It is much more advanced than that, but I will release more information as I get closer to finishing. Now as for now I need a good brand name + domain (preferably .com) + twitter handle (important, has to be brand name itself). I currently have the domain coinstart.io but I dont mind ditching the domain. I am offering BTC0.025 to the person with the best domain (if I use it) + another BTC0.025 after launch or once I can get my hands on more money. That means BTC0.05 in total. I might not use any of the domain, if I find coinstart.io is the best out there (probably not). Remember, PLEASE PM ME THE NAME(S) THAT YOU COME UP WITH! IF YOU WRITE IT HERE, IT MAY BE STOLEN AND YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR REWARD

Thanks! Smiley

EDIT: I forgot to mention this: It doesnt have to include the words coin or bit or anything else. Let it be as unique as possible! Also it would be great if the domain had a meaning that was similar to what the site does (not a requirement but would definitely improve your chances of becoming a winner)!
82  Economy / Service Discussion / [Solved] on: February 08, 2014, 09:57:18 PM
I know this looks bad. I am a mod and I am trying to prove Primedice unfair, but its the truth. This was brought to our attention by a different user: Pupsimus on the main PD thread. I just wanted your input on this.

https://primedice.com/modals/bet.html?id=459292926

^ This bet is unfair. If you use this: http://bitcoinmaniac.com/verify/ or their own code provided, you get 39.22 but Primedice says the roll is 67.53. This might just be a small mistake or it could be happening on a lot of rolls. Thankfully its only a tiny fraction of BTC, but what do you think?

Dont get me wrong, I still love PD and this is only a small mistake but just want your opinions on this.

Solved!

Is this (https://blockchain.info/api/json_rpc_api) like having the daemon running on your server? If yes, then what are the limits (amount of addresses you can create)?
89  Other / Beginners & Help / Fully Secure chat on: December 29, 2013, 08:14:18 AM
Is there any chat service that is 100% secure, and encrypted chat that no government can track? I have nothing really to hide, but I like the fact that there is something out there that the government cant control. Cheesy

There should be an option to allow users to change their vote in the polls.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Need help getting started with a mac on: December 13, 2013, 01:34:40 AM
Hi, I have a spare mac lying around with free electricity so I thought why not mine! I wanted to mine bitbar since that seems to be a highly profitable coin, but ltc or ftc would do as well. If I could interchange between these 3 it would be even better! Any tutorials/software I can use to get mining with my mac? Thanks!

93  Other / Beginners & Help / Is bitcoin a currency, a stock, or both? on: December 10, 2013, 12:44:20 AM
Hey!

BTW YOU CAN BUY AS LITTLE OF A STOCK, AND AS MUCH AS A STOCK. IT CAN BE A COMMODITY OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT IS A (RELIABLE) INVESTMENT

I have been showing bitcoins to people lately and each person has a different view:

Me: Currency

My parents: Stock

My aunt and uncle (1): Both

My cousin (from family 1, 1): $$$

My other cousin (from family 1, 2): Currency

My aunt (2): Dont care

My uncle (2): Both

So what do you think it is?

EDIT: Commodities like Gold are assumed under stock!
94  Other / Beginners & Help / Coinbase constantly going down? on: December 09, 2013, 12:47:15 AM

95  Other / Beginners & Help / Coinbase making extra money? on: December 09, 2013, 12:15:23 AM
Hi.

This is what I noticed about coinbase:

They have a $20 difference so they are making $20 + the fee. Is that right, or is it just better buying it somewhere else? Do other exchanges do it as well?
96  Other / Beginners & Help / [POLL] Is bitcoin starting to drop? on: December 07, 2013, 04:06:36 AM
Hey!

I just noticed that the bitcoin price on coinbase dropped to $750 and it looks like its staying there. Do you think that it will go up, down or stay at $750?

EDIT: Edited the title!

98  Other / Meta / @Username notification on: November 24, 2013, 02:30:55 AM
Hey!
You guys should add something where if I type @theymos it messages him (or sends him an email) saying that he was mentioned. Also @theymos would then create a link where if I click it then it will take me to his user profile. Kind of like this: @theymos

Thanks!
99  Other / Beginners & Help / Dear Newbies, DONT BET on: November 23, 2013, 03:29:53 AM
I dont know how to say this to you... Basically I started winning large amount and i was happy. Then I started stretching my luck and ended up losing 1.1 BTC. The thing is that you may seem that this is just a one time thing and it wont hapen to you, but I hate to break to you but IT WILL. Please do not face the same fate as I did and lose everything! Please avoid betting and losing $900. Although I havent lost any of my money (I hard earned it) it still sucks. Thanks!
