441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [INFO] ALL Users on: July 07, 2014, 07:53:56 AM
I have some information for everybody here.
I just found out the the total Bitcointalk user count is 336,755

Now i have a question..
Does anyone think that is even close to accurate ?

is there 330k users here or is there 5 guys creating 20 accounts a day to spam, troll or post clone coins ?

i seen a guy in the Altcoin section who recently admitted he created about 60 accounts to advertise some coin.
do you all realize this is happening here ?

and i wonder what is the most accounts one guy has made.. anyone want to admit to making more than 60 ?
i also wonder why the staff here don't restrict this activity.. i can't think of any site i ever seen that would tolerate this behavior.

I posted this here because i think it's the Altcoin ANN section responsible for the high user count and i wanted to discuss this with everyone.

PS:
I have one account and have never logged into any other account even once or had anything to do with making a coin, pool or exchange etc..

Thoughts ?
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [POLL] Do we need regulation ? on: July 06, 2014, 08:56:06 AM
Should there be regulations and some laws put in place for Altcoins ?

And if regulation was enforced on us all right now with no warning how would you all react ?

Wise to give it some thought before it's too late.. are you prepared ?
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Altcoin Scene: The Review = Spoetnik Approved™ ? on: July 02, 2014, 05:49:21 PM
I want to point out how bad we all look..
Time after time i make a comment about a coin and people go off on me (or others) in an offensive manner.. OFF TOPIC.
I don't pick on people but i have been harassed and trolled here and elsewhere endlessly and
i can tell much of it is from the same guys with some huge grudge against me using lots of accounts they made.

Last year some coin cloner here sent me 3 PM's threatening to sue because he said i "defamed" his clone coin..
which i didn't actually, i just called him out on getting caught lying about his coin on the forum here and on Cryptsy chat.
Right after that he told me on chat he was going to beat me up twice..
He said and i quote..

It's easy to find out who i am and he is rich and could just hop on a plane and come get me.

He said.. in the middle of spending hours harassing and trolling me on chat again as he did EVERY DAY 24/7.
And he kept doing it for at least 6 months using the same account name right up until Nov 2013..
and strangely enough at that point he vanished but some other random named guys started where he left off.. here and on Cryptsy chat etc

I also got confirmation from the head of Cryptsy how the guy contacted the exchange to get my personal info. (for a clone coin defamation lawsuit he said)
and i was NOT told though whether or not the exchange handed the private info over either..
for all i know the Troll contacted Cryptsy and said he was going to sue me so he could fly to my house to beat me up.

Problem is from an outsider perspective it make us all look bad and the community look like vicious brats.

So let this be a warning to new guys that come here..
If you criticize a scammy crappy clone coin you will make enemies for life that will hunt and troll and harass you every chance they get.
So.. be quiet and keep your head down or be prepared to get trolled for years on end or beat up and or even sued.

Altcoins is like a school yard full of name changing hiding bullies and thieves with a side of scammers.
Don't expect any level of maturity in the scene around the world especially here at this forum.

In reality few of us are pure bad.. When you start doing this you start your learning process and opinions and who you become buddies with can change.
An effort to NOT take things to a personal level is the best bet.. it's the internet.. who you like or don't like is not important and no one cares either.

It's a scene with no intention but to.. Bully People for Money.

Really it all amounts to gimme your money or i will beat you up..
Seriously look around.. either you kiss butt on every coin topic no matter what or guys hunt you and try and destroy.. like a bully.
So if you give them your support (which is worth money) they will be nice to you..
and if you don't they will bully you into hiding or supporting coins you don't want to support.

Bad attitudes.. bullying.. trolling and fanboyism / chearleading and blatant lying and games of all types 24/7

Can we work on some class and professionalism to attract more professionals around the world to Altcoins people ?
From an outsiders perspective all this stuff has gotta look pretty bad.

Altcoin scene rating = F
Sorry but our scene gets a failing grade.. better luck next year lol
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / - Kolin Evans - The Drama - Unmoderated on: July 02, 2014, 04:29:35 PM
So we have a moron who claim he was ripped off by Digital industry..
He started a topic and locked it when it made him look bad and now he is deleting any comment that calls him out on his accusations..

So i created this topic to let us all speak with OUT the brat deleting things..
My last comment i made he deleted on his moderated topic was quoted below.
Note how i pretty much just asked the guy for more info.. i guess he thinks that is a problem lol

My removed comment..

Sorry to say, but you was the one who pressed that "buy" button. You shouldn't blame others for your very own wrong decisions.

I absolutely understand your opinion bud.  But I listened to these people because they claimed to be cryptocurrency experts and sold Quarkcoin as the Next Big Thing, as a Safe Haven for the future.

Kolin countlessly said we should buy up as much Quark as we can. AND NOW WHAT? its price is down to the ground, nobody cares about this thing and Kolin is spitting in my face.
In fact he said he wanted to beat me and slap me in the face in the other thread Huh I am seriously frightened this guy will harm my family perhaps not only financially but physically as well.

I sent an email to Bill Still asking him why he trusted the scammer Kolin Evans from Australia?  I don't think he ever intended to run countless people into financial ruin and he is probably going to be shocked when he realizes what fraud he participated in and gave his name for. He replied today that he'd look into this.

It's all very very saddening.
Im sorry to see that you have lost your savings, but really, get on your feet again! I myself have a very similar story, but I pulled my dick out just in time not to lose anything. And if I would have lost I would not be too hard on either myself nor anyone else, we all make our actions in accordance with the moment, so there is really nothing to do about it. Let your frustration out on a round of golf or something. Digitalindustry is not responsible, he didn't lie, he just made everything sound a bit too good.

It would be interesting to see Digitalindustry clarify on this:

Set a very high number of total coins.
A few people mined 95% of all quarks in a very short period of time.
Agreement among the early miners to hold on their coins except a very few for trading on the market.
Give quarks to people with some decent audience (i.e. Bill Still + Max Keiser) so they can promote it.
Resulting a high number of buyer on the market + very few coins available for trading = high market prices in a short period of time.
High market prices X total mined coins (which 95% held by a small group of people) = super artificially high market capitalization.
Newbies look on coinmarketcap.com and say "WOW quark is very promising!"
Rinse and repeat 4-7
Dump and profit.

for the love of god can you guys quit making massive lies about Quark coin ? holy shit man !

such as..

Quote
A few people mined 95% of all quarks in a very short period of time.

wrooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong

Quark was released 100% fair.. fact .
end of story.
and i can prove it 1000 ways too and you can even see so by just looking at the damn ANN topic jeez

@OP
I have sided against you *some what for one main reason.. you have posted little proof guy was involved in bad cheating behavior
if you want to convince us we need more..
Secondly on a side not i was not sure you were sincere or trolling (on your other topic just like this one you locked)

I am trying to help you guy.. if you want to make a point you need to back it up with a lot more info.
First thing i thought was why in the hell did you say this all went down last year ? and you waited until 2014 to say something ?
That makes it seems fishy like maybe you have some other reason why your out to get Kolin..

It seems to me digitalindustry did sincerely believe it was going to take off and increase in value way back.. he prob honestly believed it himself.
And don't forget the altcoin scene had changed a lot over time and there was no way to predict other more revolutionary coins would come along stealing popularity.
Do you have any proof he knew Quark would fail ? how could he even know that ?

and another guy pointed out on the other topic how its more appropriate for the coin to be used than invested with..
true or not it highlights the point that REAL coin supporters are not investing 20 grand of their families income to simply make a profit for greedy reasons.
REAL TRUE coin supporters.... support the coin.
You don't lose until you click SELL Wink

Anyway i'd like to see some more info proving you statements.. so far you have been unbelievably vague.

446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BTC-E has taken over Cryptsy ? on: June 27, 2014, 08:35:28 PM
Ok so last week or two i noticed the odd name all of a sudden pop up on Cryptsy's chat..
Other people kept talking about saying they were there all the time these days pumping scam coins (not on BTC-E)
One of them was even made a mod on Cryptsy chat which REALLY pissed a lot of people off
and some had said they are abusing their positions with all this like making announcements to go with their
Cryptsy advertising / hyping (fake pumps) by saying stuff like Cloak will be added to BTC-E soon (not sure if it was)

I had in the past soon MoosaNYC once or twice maybe..
And i did not see him talking about any coins myself.
He's always been a ok mod i guess way back he had banned me for what i figured was a dumb trigger happy reason but not a bad guy
and that was for posting a link in chat (just the bitcoin gambling site referral link i have in my sig here)

Koolio was the one that was getting the complaints with some guy named promethues or something..
I guys those guys had been blatantly hyping up coins soo bad at Cryptsy a hell of a lot of people were getting pissed off about it
and at the same time they made koolio a mod for some unknown reason..
In case people don't know these guys are already chat mods on the BTCE exchange.

Yesterday to my surprise i seen yet ANOTHER one of them hanging out there now (i never seen at cryptsy yet)
and his name is bumface.
And this cocky prick decided to pick a fight with me about something i was not even taking about starting an argument with himself
and nagging me relentlessly about it until i got sick of it and told him for the 4th time to leave me the fuck alone and just for the love of god back the fuck off
banned.
The Cryptsy mod (Patrick i guess) who was sitting there chatting with us watched me ask the guy over and over to leave me alone
and Patrick decided after seeing this cocky fucking punk douche troll me to ban the victim.. me.
All he had to do was scroll up in the chat box and see i never said a damn word to the guy first and i was not starting anything with anyone..
i was not even discussing what he was ..some shit about wallets.. the guy was trying to tell me "how it is " like a cocky big shot.
and know what guys i guess he (koolio) is the big shot because it seems to me,
The BTC-E chat mods / staff have taken over Cryptsy and are scamming the scene pumping and dumping shit clone coins

so the question i pose to you all out there.. Do you feel this is an abuse of staff positions ? (conflict of interest ?)

And if you want respect you have to earn it staff / mods..
Pro Tip: this is done by your ACTIONS not the smelly brown drivel that leaks out of the corner of your mouths..
There is ONE single mod in all of Crypto i have respect for 90% of them all are cocky punks that need their teeth knocked down their throat i figure.
They hang around crypto abusing their position's and manipulating things for their advantage.. they are gunning for Power and now *some want money with that too.

OFF-TOPIC:
I just got back from a 5 day ban from here and i see why they banned me i guess ..i thought they *might ban me lol
I copied and pasted the same comment to like 5 NXT topics recently out of frustration with guys bumping and hyping NXT here.. pointlessly, ALL THE TIME.
So i did not create this topic here because i am mad at Bitcointalk.. and i figure i was guilty of Spam *Light (they banned me here for 5 day for Spamming)
So Bitcointalk staff i got the hint Wink
But guys are free to make 60 accounts and advertise etc here as i seen one guy admit here last week.. lol
I guess the trick is to make a thousand accounts then you can avoid all rules ?
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [TEST] How smart are you ? take the test ! on: June 22, 2014, 08:46:43 AM

448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [FACT] There is NO way to cheat pools with fake shares on: June 22, 2014, 08:07:43 AM
I had a guy try and convince me off past pool cheating on here recently and he is convinced
he has proof (non technical proof) that its happened lots.. this is just not true.
and i really think i need to say this and make it loud and clear and dispell the myth.

what pushed me over the edge was the Dwarf Pool guy advertising his pool with all kinds of clams in a bullet point format..
and one of the points he made was that his new JPC pool was Fake Share proof.
This is dishonest bullshit !

I went through this last year on the Secure coin topic (no not the SRC Poloniex added a different one LOL)
And various miner coders coin devs and pool coders ALL unified backed me up on this..
It just isn't possible..

and hey if it's possible then i expect a source code sample with proof of concept.. that is it.. that is the only proof i will accept.

and i will take it a step further and for security purposes will any Pool operators out there
be willing to pitch in on a bounty if someone can proof a legit fake share miner hack exists ?
this seems to me like something pool operators should be concerned about.
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [POLL] Anonymous coins ? on: June 15, 2014, 12:17:39 AM
The plague of Anonymous coins in the Altcoin scene is getting ridiculous.
You'd think this feature is the most important aspect of any coin yet i don't see any good reason for it at all..
Seems like a gimmick to me ..nothing more.

If we compare many of these Altcoins to say Bitcoin itself then is Bitcoin not anonymous enough ?
Really was there some huge crowd of people saying there was a huge problem with Bitcoins privacy
and that someone had to do something about this problem asap ?

OR did this gimmick just pop up as way to fuel making more clone coins ?
Clone a coin tack on some anon crap and and rinse repeat..

I avoid them.. i don't need gimmicky anon garbage hype clone coins thanks.
besides why do we need 90 different guys working on 90 different coins ?
I guess what is needed is an EXCUSE to clone and release 90 more clone coins lol
Why ?
Hmmmm wouldn't have anything to do with MONEY would it ?
Naw ..couldn't be ....that is silly and outrageous nonsense ..i'm sounding like a conspiracy theorist.
i'm sureaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall their intentions are good  Roll Eyes
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [POLL] Tempted to leave ? on: May 30, 2014, 02:07:58 AM
It's just pathetic.. the longer you wade in this filth the more you have to wonder.

I prob got a phone book sized list of scammy stunts pulled monthly.. and mostly by the same old sleezy greedy douche bags.

this crap got big for a while and now new users have wandered off and many have sold off their graphics cards..
the altcoin scene is devolved so bad i am just kicking back and watching it sink ..laughing because i predicted it almost a year ago.
how far could we lower the bar ? it's been skidding on the ground since last year .

be warned guys..
the opportunity for someone to pull a Gox on you all is high..
and what i mean by that is basically if someone or a site or what ever wants to cash out and leave ?
it's highly likely they will rip someone off on the way out the door.

my reputation ? ..golden.
you see i am not the piece of shit excuse making loser scumbag adding another pebble of shit to the shit mountain.
another clone and yet more support for another clone is helping what ?
nothing that is what..
the clock ticks.. this game is over.. congrats weazles you ruined it (for all of us)

From coin cloners to exchanges to pool operators to greedy coin hopping BTC cash out whores.. you all ruined it
and to make matter worse you hung around making stupid excuses for it all while doing it.
ohh ohhh Doge coin brings in new users.. ya greedy scummy morons.. marvelous just what we needed  Roll Eyes

kinda funny how we have some a cocky collection of smart ass blow hard who all think they are sooooooooo fucking smart
yeah reality shows us your all fucking idiots lol

And you usual guys know i know that you know that i know and i can out dozens of you for your latest scam stunts pulled in just the last few weeks alone..
never mind that last 8 months worth of the same sleazy scumbags doing shit endlessly.

ya ya Conspiracy eh BitJohn And iGotSPots.. yaaaa right  Roll Eyes
watch as you user base dissolves because of YOUR fucking stupidity lack of morals, class, integrity and Greed.
drain the morons dry while you can can "smart" guys, because it won't last long Wink

i think i will go back to reading about today's flavor of the day coin clone battle where 99.99% of random anon shell accounts bicker with one another lol
i couldn't even imagine how many accounts some of these scamming lying thieving cloners have lol
and i have no interest in being apart of a forum that allows scammers to scam with as many accounts as they want.. yet you all have no problem with it ?
sad..

Karma will extract its revenge trust me.. it's the circle of life Smiley
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [POLL] Split the ANN section into 2 ANN sub sections (Scrypt + ALL Else) on: May 17, 2014, 03:59:59 AM
I had an idea and hope you will all throw in your opinions.

My idea was changing the Altcoin ANN section into two groups..
One for pure Scrypt algo based coins.
And then another section for any other type of coin.

I think this is a good idea because i can't be the only one who doesn't care in the slightest about Scrypt clone coins.
And since Scrypt Asics are now getting put out we are seeing a MASSIVE surge in new Scrypt clones and i just don't wanna see or hear it anymore.
The asics are going to make this worse too !
I'd love to be able to browse the ANN forum section but for many months now i have become insanely frustrated with the sea of scrypt clones.
the ANN section is just unusable the way it is now i think.

Coin devs do you want your dev work buried in a few pages of new scrypt clones that come out daily ?
Or would you rather have your own sub forum where all unique coins can have a fair chance at even being seen by us at all ?

I wanted to make this comment longer but i think i ran out of stuff to say so i will wrap up by saying,
Anyone that does not agree with me will be Trolled hard.. i am the smart one here so accept your new opinion i gave you here or go home !

PS:
JK guys hahha
Good idea ?? no ?
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [Wanted] JackpotCoin Gambling site on: May 08, 2014, 11:38:15 PM
We need a gambling site for this coin i think  Grin

I like gambling stuff and i have been known to buy lottery tickets or scratch & wins and i like facets
and i have been addicted to the Free Bitcoins Gambling site i have in my sig.
and if someone could make a site like that one for JPC / JackpotCoin that would pretty cool !

I know people have done stuff like this around here already so oi think it's a great opportunity to get the first one made Wink

............ GAMBLING !
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [FREE] I like Gambling + Free Bitcoin :) on: May 04, 2014, 03:00:51 AM
I started this topic for two reasons.. one to advertise my referral link i want to share with everyone.
And two to show how i like stuff to do with gambling.. sometimes i buy provincial or federal lottery tickets in Canada or even Scratch & Wins.
I also like coins like Jackpot coin where i have a chance to win a big Jackpot.. so people should NOT be surprised i like that new coin Wink

So the main point here..
For many months now i have been going to,
http://freebitco.in
It's sort of like a faucet you can play for free once an hour with no registration or email needed and you ALWAYS win something  Grin

So i have gotten a pay out to my BTC wallet every single week on schedule for months except one time i think and i have TX records to prove it.
It's fun and i think addictive and all you have to do is add a bitcoin address you want to use and turn of Adblock plus in your browser if your running it.
I normally would never do that for any site ever but all it shows is a couple banner ad's and since i have Flash in Firefox set to enable manually that
means Flash banner ad's don't show anything for me ever lol
That free bitcoin site is literally the only site i go to where i turn off my Adblocker ..to support them and you have to or you can't play lol

So that site is a gambling site + faucet combo of sorts, but i don't usually send any Bitcoin over there to play but you can do that of you want
or you can use the coins you won for free over there to gamble with..

So if people want to check that out and you are happy with my tip here i am sharing then why not hit my referral link to say thanks ?
http://freebitco.in/?r=6035
Note my referrals get shared with other users too eh.. read more about that when you visit the site.

Pro Tip:
You only ever have to enter one of the words in a re-Captcha..
Google search Captcha Cheats Wink

Hitting my link won't do any harm and it won't make me any money unless everyone in crypto does it and that ain't happening lol
I'd share it anyway because its fun which is why i have figured well screw it i might as well share my referral link hahaha
if people tried it out i don't think anyone would mind sending me a referral for the tip..
i would not want to send anyone anywhere bad and i use that place myself Smiley

PS:
Jackpot coin guys ..the pot is at 76 million coins and is estimated to get hit ANY TIME now so get in now Wink

and hey if you know of any other gambling stuff that is cool post it Smiley

Notes:
- Limited testing has been done. Please report any bugs.

- Use --help command line for more info.

- Algos supported are Jackpot, Quark, Scrypt and SHA256.

- New Timer Mode feature (windows only)
This times in seconds / minutes how long it takes to reach x shares submitted.
  Only Good shares are counted.
Use --timer 10 for example to time 10 submitted shares (or blocks found solo mining)
If x shares is reached a message colored Purple will show the time elapsed.
When the amount of shares is reached the timer is turned off and does nothing.

- New Benchmark Mode feature.
Use Command-Line --benchmark to run the hashing test.
This will test out your hashing speed and report back a summary on intervals.
Benchmarking is done in offline mode no connection to pools or daemons needed.
  Example: minerd -t 6 --benchmark

- Color coding is as follows.
  Red = Error
  Green = Normal Share.
  Cyan = Fastest submitted Share.
  Purple = Special messages.
  Blue = New Block info.

- Default color mode is Bright.
Use --color normal for normal colors
Use --color bright for bright colors
Use --color none for no colors (text will be grey)
Or use -w instead of --color
The Command-Line is only needed to set dull colors or none.

- Scantime command line bug fix / mod notes.
The option has never worked on ANY cpu miner and i fixed it.
The only cicumstances it would ever have any effect is when solo mining.
I fixed this last year and checked numerous github repo's
and every single cpu miner mod and cudaminer mod suffered from the same bug.
what this means is that if you set --scantime on a Pool it does nothing at all.
Teh code clearly shows how teh scan time command line option is only used
when Long Polling or Stratum is NOT found and it then has ALWAYS defaulted to 60
60 is a hard coded value on every cpu miner and cudaminer version i have ever seen.
  #define LP_SCANTIME   60 is written in cpuminer.c in all repo's

So it's working now have fun and experiment with it Smiley

457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [POLL] Vertcoin or Darkcoin ? on: April 27, 2014, 07:03:19 AM
Ok so i have a couple hundred Vertcoins i got like a month or two ago now..
Back then i was looking at alternatives to scrypt coins because of incoming Scrypt Asics etc.
So i wanted a Poll here to see what people think.. which would you invest in if you had to pick one or the other ?

And feel Free to FUD either coin i couldn't care less at all lol

Who knows maybe i will sell my coins and buy some of the other ones..
I left both out as an option to make people choose one or the other Wink

Thanks for reading / voting.
458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / X13 CPU Miner mod by Spoetnik (based on dstorm's code) on: April 26, 2014, 06:29:37 PM
I already posted info about the miner mod i compiled so i don't want to repeat it all right now
but check this Marucoin message from me..
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=570744.540
It's for Intel Haswell class cpu's

So there is a few features i want to add soon but i wanted see if anyone had any requests for features or optimized builds.
I am not sure but i think if your cpu is too old my posted build would fail to run so people would have to tell me what model cpu they have
so that i can make one that is compatible / optimized for it..

i used mingw and not cygwin too so that is good Smiley

so check back later and i will post a newer build with color(s) added into the console UI.. makes it look much more perty Smiley

i only tested my posted build on Maru coin (x13 algo) and it improved my speed so i'm happy.

edit:
the source code for the miner i compiled and uploaded is listed on the Maru coin topic by the OP
it is unchanged in any way, all i did was compile it.
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / STOP using crappy hosting for you links here ! on: April 25, 2014, 01:27:57 PM
i can't stress how much i wish people would use another service than MEGA for hosting.
we are all about decentralized stuff we hear non stop but you guys all over this forum post the REQUIRED files to mine etc on centralized servers.
all we ever get is shitty ass Mega links that go down constantly then we're screwed !

Use something like Multiupload.nl or provide multiple download mirrors on alternate servers because this is not cool !

For example i have already had multiple requests for the CPU and GPU miners for Maru coin and they had MEGA links
and when i tried them before myself over and over i kept getting an error message for ages.. eventually it worked but that sucks balls !

Kim Dotcoms mega service blow ass.. give it rest guys seriously.
Myself i prefer this one for quick uploading on one server
http://www.datafilehost.com/
just avoid the download manager (like all file lockers duh)
And this one below lets you add to a ton of famous file hosters all in one quick upload with out having to go to each site and re-upload Smiley

460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [POLL] List of all exchanges on: April 22, 2014, 01:04:33 AM
I wanted a list of exchanges with a Poll for everyone's favorite Altcoin exchange.
Please vote Smiley
You can change your vote later but can only vote once.

Feel free to leave a comment why you like a specific exchange.
My motivation is i am interested in trying a new exchange and honestly i don't know myself what to vote for.

I appreciate people taking their time to read this topic and if you can vote and maybe give us all a quick review of an exchange then great thank you Smiley
Oh and if i forgot an exchange in the voting list i will try and add it into the Poll.
Not sure if we consider some of them an Altcoin exchange or not so.. also i put them in random order for no specific reason.
