Beware Phishing Attempts from Sites Claiming to be CoinDesk

As bitcoin becomes more popular and attracts mainstream users, scammers are resorting to tried-and-tested tricks like phishing emails and imitation websites to steal your funds. Known examples targeting CoinDesk are listed here: http://www.coindesk.com/phishing-alert/

Emails are similar to the one below. CoinDesk does not court advertising in this way. We have had a few reports of this. Please don't fall for it and pay out any BTC, as you won't have your banner appearing on CoinDesk. You will just lose your BTC.
