1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Dummy HDMI plugs on: May 22, 2018, 06:41:37 PM

Are these dummy HDMI plugs neccessary?

I have some 1080ti rigs prebuilt but not running yet. I don't want to cause any delays by not having these (if needed.)

Any help appeciated! Cheesy
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What firewall / router do you recommend? on: May 03, 2018, 10:01:33 PM
Wondering what you guys use as a firewall. I know the meraki mx64w has been recommended by people in the past but just looking for something secure, user friendly, remote access and fail-over capabilities.

I'm not a network guy so thanks for understanding in advanced.  Grin sparky

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Satellite vs. Fiber/Cable Internet on: April 30, 2018, 01:11:44 PM
Hey dudes.  Cheesy

I am wondering if anyone has experience with satellite internet minining within the city. How is the signal reliability and latency?

They have not pulled fiber / high speed cable to this area yet. I'm only asking because listing agent mentioned this as we are looking for a warehouse.

I have no experience with satellite so hoping I can get some helpful opinions from ya guys.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Virtual memory and SSD question - Asus270-p / 1080ti on: January 25, 2018, 04:49:17 PM
Hi newbie here

I am wondering what the recommended paging file size should be - min/max. Is it 2x the ram?

Asus prime z270-p
16gb ram corsair cl14
windows 10
1080ti x 8
256gb ssd

Is my 2 x 8gb ram over kill?

Is the ssd sized appropriately? I want to go for stability and performance. I see people using 32gb usb sticks though...
