Year after year e-commerce and sharing / gig economy platforms are increasingly becoming the first option to achieve many products or services, but at the same time these platforms are becoming more and more invasive regarding users’ privacy.
Through data analysis this companies are collecting patterns on every single operation users do, details about preferences, tracking of visited websites, behaviors that through AI can maximize marketing efficiency. Just because these companies know exactly users’ tastes, opinions and even psychological characteristics, this knowledge can be so profound to pursue even the manipulation of their needs and desires.
Company as Facebook, Google Amazon, Spotify, Uber (and many others..) radically changed the former idea of business. They have dematerialized their income assets and can maximize income thanks to data provided by users for free (or sometimes even paying).
Ok, so far nothing new, but…
When Globalized companies are mapping digital activities, linking information to extended communities, the priority for this companies can be synthesized with the terms of sharing through horizontal relationship their own digital platform.
This network effect gives free service to the masses and high centralized capital gains to this global companies.
In an ideal community when a data driven business reach a critical mass to become efficient, the company is able to create habits, limiting others businesses ability to join into competition. Today is difficult to listen to music in alternative ways when our friends always share us Youtube videos or Spotify links.

Data and the relationship between users creating and providing data to the platform are now the ground where this kind of business lays on. Unfortunately, this companies create an imperfect competition within each industry.
They have very little infrastructural cost by nature, thus the power of accumulation of capital is pretty fast and asymmetric. Many sharing economy services create a searchable and closed network that gives them high economical power to the data owners or providers on that single niche segment (e.g. Airbnb on room reservations or BlaBlaCar on transport sharing).
Moreover, the centralization of an industry lead to the destruction of local wealth. No taxi agencies can compete with Uber, and no chain store of libraries with Amazon, anymore.

You’re probably familiar with Cambridge Analytica, the firm that harvested data on 87 million US Facebook users. This case is not alone, in recent years a batch of surveillance companies, operating in a far more clandestine manner in comparison to Cambridge Analytica and its partners, have been infiltrating all kinds of social media platforms.

These spy-tech vendors are offering services not only to co-opt and influence social media groups with sock puppet accounts, but will even deliver spyware via the fake profiles they create and send across different platforms.

warned Edin Omanovic, head of Privacy International’s State Surveillance project.
Facebook changed its policies to stop allowing app creators to access data about users friends unless the user’s friends had also authorized the app, however some vulnerabilities are still there.
… is free service a fair compensation for users data?
… is the use of these platforms really free?
According to some data reported, a fan is worth less than 5 dollars a day (calculating that Facebook in 2016 recorded a growth of 51% of revenues with a turnover of 8.81 billion USD and an audience of 1.86 billion subscribers).
According to Social Flow, a fan is worth $14.17.
Services such as Value of a Like or Instagram money calculator show quite simply the value range of an Instagram page, a Facebook Like and the engagement that they can reach on their pages. This value is therefore real and is paid by users.
What is the currency to pay for these “free” services? Users attention.

Data analysis can be useful and AI helps users to be matched easily with what they could like and need, but they should have a compensation and control over data they provide.
Is not acceptable anymore to be treated as unpaid data factories.
What we, as Localflow, want to structure is a radical change on the Data economy, giving users and businesses access and control on what they are providing and sharing, rewarding them for the growing of the ecosystem.

Localflow don’t want to know who you are and what you do, because we will not make value from selling personal data, they will not be given or sold to third party companies or organizations because they are never collected in relation to a single person. Data will be used only for anonymized general statistics without possibility to relate them back to specific users.
So in this model, it is not necessary to exploit personal information because the whole technological infrastructure will be sustained by small and fair fees on the local economic network, real sharing economy services and local marketing campaigns.
Blockchain technology can help to maintain online privacy, having digital identity connected with their id on telegram or in the Localflow platform and an anti-money laundering Digital certificate connected with subledgers. So legal compliance and privacy could match parallelly.
At the same time service provided now by workers in many gig economy companies, such us in transportations or delivery that are subjected to low gains and fractured work hours, could find a new more respectful working structure.

Decentralization as the core of privacy
Centralization of data: a company has in its hands our data and even our reputation. This lead to the effect of a single point of failure (SPOF) vulnerable to hacks and malevolent use.
The application of Decentralized Ledger Technologies is perfectly suitable to resolve the SPOF problem and the concentration of data. A distributed and decentralized data storage is key to take worth data off from companies that have been selling our information as their own cash flow model.
How to make it possible? How can an individual be part of a decentralized network? Localflow gives to local business and entrepreneur “user-friendly tools” to start this revolution and get involved into the local community and local chats.
The first tools the Localflow will provide are a network of chatbots, that can be considered as “Artificial Conversational Entities”.

This chatbots are small programs, that can be launched on many different mainstream platforms (Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Wechat, Amazon Echo, etc…), which can conduct a conversation via auditory or textual methods.
They are commonly used for B2C customer service, sales and marketing.
But as we know, the most of nowadays chatbot are centralized, leading that owner’s company can check and sell personal information to third party entities.
Localflow, instead, will use the protocol named Masked Authenticated Messaging (MAM) provided by the IOTA foundation to warranty privacy to consumers. Getting deeper, MAM is used as the message dispatching mechanism for any chatbots in the Localflow network.

MAM enables nodes to exchange data on the Tangle, fully authenticated and encrypted. When the network is extended and the community will have traction, a local sharing economy ecosystem will be created to be efficient, fair and local.
At least, it remains a big issue: why local business should be involved in this?
Well, tokens economy may be a good explanation. The ideas are the following: if individuals are participating in the network, they can gain some tokens that can be spent for other services in the network, from using EWA’s to push word of mouth influencer activities in the local communities or specific chatbot modules.

Local promotion through Micro-influencers
The new marketing force of the future

Artificial Intelligence is a concept that can be summarized in a simplistic way as “machines that can learn to perform certain tasks in an increasingly intelligent way”.
The AI ​​technology we are most focused in is Natural Language Processing (NLP), this technology gives the possibility to integrate the power of machine learning into messaging Apps, in order to understand requests from users expressed in common natural language.
This system will build new models to interface with IT, all made possible by neural networks that can be trained. A whole new level of marketing sophistication will be offered, particularly for influencer marketing, bringing a more scientific approach to influencing businesses and places to maximize return on investment (ROI).
There is undoubtedly a disparity between SMEs and large multinational corporations: the latter, with high budgets, are in a unique position to demand the attention of social platforms, while those who do not have large capital are in a disadvantaged position. Internet and share economy services are presented as available to anyone and able to bring about real changes and the possibility of increasing their visibility. But is this really true? According to Statista, social media marketing spending amounts to about $ 13.5 billion in the United States alone in 2017.
In 2018, brands will increasingly use their spending power to collaborate with social platforms, also to help them teach their traditional creative teams to develop social content. But are there any feasible solutions even for SMEs?

Ok, ok… but who are Micro-Influencers?
Micro-influencers are defined as people with a social media follow-up of around 1,000–100,000 followers, who maintain a medium or small audience, but they build an excellent trust relationship with their followers.
When determining friends and “nearer” acquaintances, 1,000 followers are enough to have a “weight” on Instagram for example. Unlike influencers, who count several hundred or millions of followers, micro-influencers establish themselves as opinion leaders in one or more specific sectors. Each of these micro-influencers will in turn be followers of other influencers in other areas of interest, structuring the entire digital network as a network where you can potentially find the right advice whenever you search it.
Between 20% and 50% of purchases take place behind the phenomena of the “word of mouth”.
Big influencers usually focus on a very large audience and make commercial agreements with third parties trying to expand their followers pool more and more. They do this through the release of smart contents or covert marketing campaigns aimed at making product placement by hiding it under the friendly image they have established with their audience.
Localflow allows to overcome what they call the “paradox of the authenticity of the influencer”, the idea that people with more followers are less authentic. It’s obvious that the people closest to you have more influence on the decisions you make, thus the more an influencer increases their follow-up, the less importance they have for their audience. Otherwise, any user who wants to become a micro-influencer in a local group of Localflow, remains clearly linked to its territorial area, limiting its ability to quit its role as an opinion leader of the territory. This approach, though with defined limits, actually goes to make the most of the ROI for the local promotion of services and events, reducing at most the possibilities of forcing the “ game ” of the visibility widening and consequently reduction of the relationship of trust that normally occur with social networks.
That’s why the rates of involvement diminish over the number of followers above 1k. According to a study conducted by Markerly, a profile with 1,000 followers records an engagement rate of 8%, while a base fan composed of 10,000 users drops to 4%. As the number of followers increases, the engagement rate decreases, reaching 1.7% with 1 million fans.

It turns out that a profile with fewer than 1,000 followers gets around 6 times more comments and likes than a profile with more than 100,000 fans. They reach a more targeted audience.

Un chatbot è un programmino che permette di rispondere automaticamente alle domande o risposte degli utenti. Li si possono integrare in molte delle App di messaggistica (Telegram, WeChat, Facebook Messenger, ecc) o web app. Quindi non serve scaricare altre App! I nostri chatbot saranno già raggiungibili direttamente dalle App già scaricate dagli utenti. Stiamo costruendo una rete di chatbot che ogni utente può costruire per il proprio business o servizio, tutte facente parte di un'unica rete e ricercabili attraverso un chatbot principale: quello della "ricerca locale" di Localflow. La ricerca di servizi per ogni utente sarà limitata nella sua area di ricerca e non in altre (a meno che non chieda per qualche altra area). La ricerca non sarà basata sulle keyword e relative aste di compravendita atte a mettere in competizione le varie attività. La nostra ricerca sarà invece LOCALIZZATA e guidata dalle esigenze dell'utente. Andiamo ad approfondire la richiesta stimolando il chatbot a fare ulteriori domande. Vi faccio un esempio: se un utente chiede un posto per bere stasera un buon cocktail a Milano, il chatbot risponderà chiedendo altre informazioni come per esempio il budget massimo, se vuole un locale con musica dal vivo, se lo vuole vicino a lui, ecc. Reputiamo che una interfaccia conversazione sia il miglior modo per esaudire una richiesta e non un sistema di aste che permetta la compravendita di visibilità e la forzatura del relativo gioco che sta dietro a questa dinamica. Il fatto che sia local non impedisce che sia replicabile in tutto il mondo. Vogliamo infatti costruire infinte nicchie "GLOCAL" in tutto il mondo.

Questi dati di ricerca degli utenti come vengono trattati?
Sempre prendendo l'esempio di prima, delle parole "cocktail", "Milano" e "stasera" cosa ce ne facciamo? Questi criteri di ricerca verranno fatte passare in una rete chiamata Tangle, la DAG (una specie di blockchain) di IOTA. Attraverso una tecnologia di IOTA, chiamata MAM, noi facciamo passare tutte le informazioni degli utenti in un sistema criptato e leggibile solamente dai chatbot pertinenti con la richiesta. Alla fine, quando l'output viene presentato all'utente, i dati da lui inseriti vengono eliminati senza lasciarne traccia o costruire inutili bolle di filtraggio. L'utente infatti ogni volta dovrà definire cosa gli interessa e cosa sta cercando parlando con il chatbot.

Che problema risolviamo?
I servizi ora presenti, benché dando un grandissimo contributo ai servizi locali, implicitamente ne sfruttano le risorse (sia di dati che di percentuali di commissioni) impoverendo gradualmente le economie locali. Inoltre, quanti sono i commercianti o i proprietari di business che veramente sanno utilizzare i nuovi strumenti digitali per potenziare la propria offerta? In che modo questi servizi si rendono veramente utili alle attività reali? Lo fanno definendo i loro servizi come gratuiti, ma sappiamo che in realtà non lo sono. Le nostre informazioni e la nostra attenzione infatti sono le risorse più importante che abbiamo. Noi proponiamo un'infrastruttura che faccia rimanere i dati totalmente all'interno di queste nicchie locali, uno sviluppo che sia decentralizzato e incentivato dall'aiuto degli stessi utenti, un sistema che ricompensa i veri protagonisti delle economie locali e delle percentuali di commissione sui nostri servizi nettamente inferiori alla concorrenza. Possiamo offrire servizi di reservation, food delivery, stock provisioning a prezzi nettamente inferiore proprio in virtù della nostra architettura snella e condivisa. Incentiviamo inoltre lo sviluppo delle economie locali attraverso gli stessi abitanti di tali aree. Cosa significa tutto questo? Che attraverso il nostro EWA token verranno ricompensate le persone che stimoleranno le call to action a particolari servizi, che sapranno ricoprire il ruolo di opinion leader all'interno della comunità locale e che andranno ad ottimizzare il ROI della promozione locale impersonificando il ruolo di "micro-influencer". I business possono allocare delle risorse finanziarie da distribuire automaticamente agli utenti che stimolano grazie ai loro consigli e condivisioni altre persone a comprare servizi e prodotti. Il tutto in modo altamente automatizzato, totalmente criptato e in grado di ridurre a zero le distrazioni.

Che pagamenti integreremo nella nostra rete?
I chatbot e i servizi di Localflow saranno acquistabili tramite EWA token il quale, come detto prima, sarà anche il token che ricompenserà l'utilizzo virtuoso dei servizi di Localflow. Visit our website to get to know the team and to know all the information on LocalFlow. Now let me briefly summarize the project, through a very brief and intuitive explanation. The most detailed explanation can be found in the website White Paper in which will be explained all the technologies used, the methods of our token circle and the Use Cases. I find it useful, to explain the whole project in a pragmatic way, to try to answer all the questions that might arise to an unpublished user about new technologies regarding chatbot / blockchain etc. Our project will in fact be transversal, perfectly integrated with the new innovations in the field of IoT and understandable to anyone, even if not practical in the field of new technologies.


Why a chatbot platform?

Chatbots are automatic programs that run on messaging applications (Telegram, WeChat, Facebook messenger, etc.). They are already used by thousands of companies to perform customer service tasks or to respond quickly to user messages.


Why not an APP? The app market is saturated, users (according to recent studies) would only be able to download 0-1 apps a month while the attention paid to the messaging application is growing. We want to be present right here, where the attention is higher and where the method of communication is more fluid and effective for everyone.


What do we have more? Our chatbot will implement an architecture with Artificial Intelligence (R.A.N.) in order to understand what users are asking for using a natural language. This will allow us to use our service easily and without learning a line of programming language or complicated instructions.


Every owner of a company / local or any user who wants to publish a business (both public and private, both free and paid) can use our platform to create in a few simple steps a personalized chatbot that responds to customer questions, which allows you to book or sell the service or product you want to offer to the market.



How will any user find my chatbot?


The platform will contain a search engine to search for the requested service and ONLY in the required area. I give an example:


User writes a normal chat message to LocalFlow:


User: "whiskey and jazz in Berlin"
LocalFlow: here are some clubs that offer what you requested:

• Gin cocktail bar, Postdamerplatz, Berlin. Link to the chatbot
• Vice bar, Otto-Braun strasse, Berlin. Link to the chatbot
• Berlin jazz club, Alexanderplatz, Berlin. Link to the chatbot
• ...

User enters the chatbot of the "Vice Bar" of Berlin, the user can formulate any of the requests made available by the local:

• price list and services
• book a table for 2 people
• offer 2 cocktails for 8 euros valid until 23:00
• buy concert ticket
• info on the venue, timetables, etc.
• ...

With a few simple steps, the owner can customize his chatbot or even allow other users to optimize it through a reward.


The search will be possible through the MAM (Masked Authenticated Messaging, already used by Bosch in collaboration with IOTA) offered by IOTA, ensuring that all messages are automatically encrypted and transported safely. Any data, message or information will travel in parallel with the Tangle (the IOTA blockchain) making it accessible and decryptable ONLY to those who have permission from the owner of the information.


Why local and not global? How can my business benefit from this?


In this age in which information is always faster, connected and global we want to focus people's attention on what is happening around them. The Internet is the fastest and most complete way to search for information, but how many of these focus users' attention on local activities? How often do you not know what is happening in the city or do not know that a local makes a certain discount or initiative on a certain day? Advertise your content on activities / offers etc. it is very complex, as the market is increasingly saturated with information. To increase their visibility, companies are forced to hire new professionals in the field of web marketing, social marketing, web design, etc. with the risk that users do not even view their contents because they are tired of heavy and obsolete applications or large websites. Our search bar will show the events or activities located only in the requested area and will manage the information you want to give it with the maximum privacy possible. It will not push you to put like a page, it will guide you to activities and / or events you've been looking for even once.


Local businesses can then sell their products or offers directly from the chat rooms, using payments in fiat euro dollar (by credit card) or via cryptocurrency (IOTA or EWA). EWA is our ERC223 token based on the Ethereum smart contracts.



Why do we use blockchain and smart contracts? Why IOTA and EWA?


The platform will be connected to the Tangle (the decentralized ledger of IOTA) to offer an updated service with new technologies and perfectly in line with our purpose. The transactions will be regulated by smart contracts, they will allow you to customize your offers and reward users who advertise or share the chatbot of our local. IOTA is a cryptocurrency that circulates on a distributed network: the tangle. By its nature the IOTA token circulates with commissions of 0%, avoiding the commissions of all the other blockchains and ensuring a more sustainable, secure and more compatible network with the IoT (Internet of Things). I want to create an event that can start with a minimum of 30 people? Users who want to book / sign up for the activity will anticipate the money that will be blocked in our system. If the event collects less than 30 accessions, the money (fiat, IOTA or EWA) will be returned to the users, while if there are 30 or more participants the payments will be released after confirmation via GPS (user request and not automatic) first participants. All this to avoid fraud events or activities and to define the traffic of the real participants and not of the users who "would participate" without actually being present. The payments in IOTA compared to those in fiat (EUR / USD) will be incentivized as they are subject to a 0% fee, while payments in EWA will be further incentivized with additional discounts on the transactions. There will also be an IOTA / EWA / FIAT converter in its wallet to simplify the understanding of the mechanism and the exploitation of the service.


The smart contracts will also be used to distribute the rewards to all users who will encourage and share within the groups the use of the chatbot.


The owner of the local business will be able to allocate funds for advertising that can be distributed among all the members who will be able to bring real members to use the chatbot or to participate in the proposed events / activities. We call "Influencers" these users who encourage activities by sharing them within the network. Any improvements, both technical and commercial, will be rewarded within the platform.


Any user who adheres or helps to increase the visibility of my event / activity / venue will be rewarded at 0% commission and without disadvantage to other users. See some examples of usage from the use cases. A network, the tangle, which allows any local or business to offer services without the need for any intermediary, quickly, economically and transparently. Perchè una piattaforma di chatbot?

Le chatbot sono dei programmi automatici che girano sulle applicazione di messaggistica (Telegram, WeChat, Facebook messenger, ecc.). Vengono già utilizzate da migliaia di aziende per svolgere le mansioni del servizio clienti o per rispondere rapidamente ai messaggi degli utenti.

Perchè non una APP? Il mercato delle app è saturo, gli utenti (secondo i recenti studi) si limiterebbero a scaricare 0-1 app al mese mentre è sempre più grande l’attenzione riservata alle applicazione di messaggistica. Noi vogliamo essere presenti proprio qui, dove l’attenzione è più alta e dove il metodo di comunicazione risulta più fluido ed efficace per tutti.

Cosa abbiamo in più? La nostra chatbot implementerà un’architettura con Intelligenza Artificiale (R.A.N.) in modo da capire quello che gli utenti chiedono utilizzando un linguaggio naturale. Questo permetterà di utilizzare il nostro servizio in modo semplice e senza imparare una riga di linguaggio di programmazione o complicate istruzioni.

Ogni proprietario di un’azienda/locale o qualsiasi utente che voglia pubblicare una attività (sia pubblica che privata, sia gratuita che a pagamento) potrà servirsi della nostra piattaforma per creare in pochi semplici passi una chatbot personalizzata che risponda alle domande dei clienti, che permetta di prenotare o vendere il servizio o prodotto che si vuole proporre al mercato.


Come farà un utente qualsiasi a trovare la mia chatbot?

La piattaforma conterrà un motore di ricerca per cercare il servizio richiesto e SOLAMENTE nella zona richiesta. Faccio un esempio:

LocalFlow: ecco dei locali che offrono quello che hai richiesto:

Utente entra nella chatbot del “bar Il Vizio” di Padova, l’utente può formulare una qualsiasi delle richieste rese disponibili dal locale:

• listino prezzi e servizi
• prenota un tavolo per 2 persone
• offerta 2 cocktail a 8 euro valido fino alle 23:00
• compra biglietto concerto
• info sul locale, orari, ecc.
• …

Il proprietario potrà con pochi semplici passi personalizzare la propria chatbot o addirittura permettere ad altri utenti di ottimizzarla attraverso una ricompensa.

La ricerca potrà essere possibile attraverso la tecnologia MAM (Masked Authenticated Messaging, già utilizzata da Bosch in collaborazione con IOTA) offerta da IOTA, garantendo che tutti i messaggi vengano automaticamente criptati e trasportati in sicurezza. Ogni dato, messaggio o informazione viaggeranno in parallelo con la Tangle (la blockchain di IOTA) rendendosi accessibili e decriptabili SOLO a chi ha l’autorizzazione dal proprietario delle informazioni.



Perchè locale e non globale? Come può giovarne il mio locale/attività?

In questa epoca in cui le informazioni sono sempre più veloci, connesse e global vogliamo concentrare l’attenzione delle persone su quello che sta succedendo intorno al loro. Internet è il mezzo più veloce e completo per la ricerca delle informazioni, ma quante di queste focalizzano l’attenzione degli utenti sulle attività locali? Quante volte capita di non sapere quello che succede in città o di non sapere che un locale fa un determinato sconto o iniziativa in un determinato giorno? Pubblicizzare i propri contenuti su attività/offerte ecc. è molto complesso, poiché il mercato è sempre più saturo di informazioni. Per incrementare la propria visibilità le aziende sono costrette ad assumere nuovi professionisti nell’ambito del web marketing, social marketing, web design ecc. con il rischio che gli utenti nemmeno visionino i loro contenuti perchè stanchi di applicazioni pesanti e obsolete o di ampollosi siti web. La nostra barra di ricerca mostrerà gli eventi o attività localizzate solo nella zona richiesta e gestirà le informazioni che vorrai dargli con la massima privacy possibile. Non ti spingerà a mettere like a nessuna pagina, ne ti guiderà verso attività e/o eventi che hai cercato anche solo una volta.

I business locali potranno quindi vendere i loro prodotti o offerte direttamente dalle chat, utilizzando pagamenti in fiat euro dollaro (con carta di credito) o tramite criptovalute (IOTA o EWA). EWA è il nostro token ERC223 basato sugli smart contracts Ethereum.


Perché utilizziamo la blockchain e gli smart contracts? Perché IOTA e EWA?

La piattaforma sarà connessa al Tangle (il ledger decentralizzato di IOTA) per offrire un servizio aggiornato con le nuove tecnologie e perfettamente in linea con il nostro scopo. Le transazioni saranno regolamentate dagli smart contracts, contratti intelligenti che permetteranno di personalizzare le proprie offerte e di ricompensare gli utenti che pubblicizzino o condividano la chatbot del nostro locale. IOTA è una criptovaluta che circola su una rete distribuita: la tangle. Per sua natura il token IOTA circola con commissioni dello 0%, evitando le commissioni di tutte le altre blockchain e garantendo una rete più sostenibile, sicura e più compatibile con le IoT (Internet of Things). Voglio creare un evento che possa partire con un minimo di 30 persone? Gli utenti che vogliono prenotarsi/iscriversi all’attività anticiperanno i soldi che verranno bloccati nel nostro sistema. Se l’evento raccoglierà meno di 30 adesioni i soldi (fiat, IOTA o EWA) verranno restituiti agli utenti, mentre se ci saranno 30 o più partecipanti i pagamenti si sbloccheranno dopo la conferma via GPS (richiesta all’utente e non automatica) dei primi partecipanti. Tutto questo per evitare eventi o attività truffa e per definire il traffico dei partecipanti reali e non degli utenti che “parteciperebbero” senza realmente essere presenti. Verranno incentivati i pagamenti in IOTA rispetto a quelli in fiat (EUR/USD) perché soggetti ad una commissione dello 0%, mentre i pagamenti in EWA verranno ulteriormente incentivati con sconti aggiuntivi sulle transazioni. Sarà presente anche un convertitore IOTA/EWA/FIAT nel proprio wallet per semplificare la comprensione del meccanismo e lo sfruttamento del servizio.
