1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / DZ's Darkcoin MasterNode Services for Full Node Owners: Min. 1K DRK. Batch2 OPEN on: June 19, 2014, 05:59:16 PM
DyslexicZombei's MasterNode Services for Full Node Owners

===============================================================================================

This thread is the Full Node offshoot of the related Community Node thread. 1000 DRK minimum is required for these full node setups. If you have less than 1000 DRK but would still like to participate in a node please keep an eye out in the near future for Batch 4 Community owned MasterNodes. Partial Nodes consist of 10-25% stakes at 100-250 DRK (temporarily closed to new reservations):

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=626715.0

Five community nodes fully consisting of partial stakes will be launching with RC3. If you're interested in a full node, unless you already contacted me previously about this, only Batch 2 Full Node Reservations are currently open, as community response has been overwhelming for setup and management of Full Nodes by a forum vetted veteran IT Network Engineer.

FULL NODE RESERVATIONS

Batch 1 - Sold Out
Batch 2 - For a limited time: FREE SETUP by a veteran IT Network Engineer & DoD certified InfoSec Specialist. Taking reservations ONLY at this time (no firm ETA however)

Please state RESERVED below to reserve your spot in my Batch 2 Full Node Setup Queue or you can send me a PM if you wish to remain anonymous.
It's first come, first served and Batch 1 of Full Nodes needs to clear entirely before Batch 2 launches.

This thread is also to share information about how clients can prep encrypted Full Node Darkcoin Wallets.

===============================================================================================

Q: What's a Darkcoin MasterNode?
A: From the Wiki: "Masternodes are network nodes, owned by the users of Darkcoin network. They perform the coin mixing service of DarkSend which anonymizes transactions. Users get rewarded with 20% of the mining output per block (without actually performing any mining themselves) through a "voting mechanism".

Masternodes require 1000 DRK to be set up as a negative incentive that disallows one party running or controlling too many of them.

In the future Masternodes, or the Masternode-payment system, could possibly be utilized for providing other kind of services, like blockchain hosting for thin-client functionality.

The masternode payment protocol will be implemented on the main Darkcoin network on May 24th June 20th, as Release Candidate status. For the time being over 100 masternodes operate on the Darkcoin network, however they are not receiving any payments
."

Q: What's different about Full Nodes vs. Partial Nodes?
A: Full nodes have their 1000DRK wallet files controlled by the 100% stake owner. Thanks to RC3: I, the Network Engineer setting up your node, will not have access to the coins directly nor will I know your long, complex passphrase you use to encrypt your wallet(s). This tremendously reduces the risk to the full node owners stake funds by having the coins in controlled cold storage while still receiving the benefits of being a node operator.

Q: How does someone get started?
A: I'll contact you in the order you contacted me whether it's here, Reddit or on Darkcoin Talk. The placing in the Batch 1 Q is dependent upon the date/time you agreed to have me set up your Batch 1 Full Node.

You'll need to get or have your encrypted wallet file ready for me to associate it with your particular node. If you can have this done ahead of time, this will cut down setup time tremendously.

Q: What makes you qualified to run this service?
A: I'm a veteran Network Engineer who has worked at R&D labs, including a National Lab, for over 10 years. I'm comfortable both designing and working with new technology. In the last decade I have worked with tech products with TRL levels of 1-8 and I design custom, secure servers and/or networks for prototype systems for products with TRLs in the 3-7 range.

I've been an online electronics reseller taking advantage of arbitrage opportunities since 2003 with my wife on eBay: rainbowlady03. My first miners sold were 3 Jallys on eBay. I co-founded a large democratic Bitcoin Miners cooperative on the Group Buys forum and ordered 100TH+ of hashrate for community miners since last year (the only main issues are late or non-delivery/refund from HashFast and Bitmine). Since I've been active in the cryptoeconomy I do my best to defend my fellow miners and always have: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=552830.0

You can also see how transparent I attempt to be with the requisition of these volume priced miners. Because you never know when a company like HashFast is going to call you a liar on their Twitter feed.  Roll Eyes
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / DyslexicZombei's Darkcoin Community MasterNode Svcs: CLOSED. Nodes 2 4 5 Refunds on: May 27, 2014, 07:45:27 AM
DyslexicZombei's Darkcoin MasterNode Services

===============================================================================================================

8/2 Update: Sigh, seeing too many problems with this RC3 beta software and too much rebuilds and re-activations needed at the moment IMO. Nodes 2, 4, 5 to be refunded late 8/2 with no refund penalty.

I may reopen this service again after RC5 or Version 1.0, if node stability improves a lot.

BATCH 3 CLOSED - (3% Management Fees, 30 15 (Until 6/21 6/18) FREE DRK MN Setup Service Fees, Sign up for B3 reservations end: Wednesday, 6/18 9PM HST.

6/19 Update: Unless you previously contacted me here, Reddit, or Darkcoin Talk regarding a B3 reservation: Batch 3 is now Closed. We're at 5 Community Nodes funded, so far!

BATCH 4 - UPCOMING - No firm ETA, Batch 1 Full node Q must clear first before Batch 4 Partial Nodes become available.
--

7/1 Update: There's partial funds for a Node #5! If you're interested please send a deposit to Batch 3 wallet address and please follow the instructions below.

6/2 Update: Estimated Monthly Operating Costs Per Team per DZ DRK MasterNode: Standard Package, meets FIPAA, NIST, PCI DSS 2.0, SAS 70 standards among others: Only $12 per month per Team for Highest Quality Professional Server Co-location Hosting + Power/AV/FW/DDOS protection! [Batch 1 stake owners are exempt from these monthly fees and management fees]

New! You may now opt to "pay as you go" for pre-configured pro level protection for all of the 5 services listed above + DZ DRK MN Management Services at only $1.50 per 25% MN stake per payout! (250 DRK coins out of 1000 DRK)

Estimated Monthly operating costs do not include a 1.5 - 3% Management Fee. Please see the bottom of Page 2 of this thread for a sample DZ DRK MN payout for a typical 250 DRK coin 25% stake.

Server Setup, MasterNode software installation and configuration, Network Administration, Network Security, & Pen Testing provided by a veteran Network Engineer who specializes in InfoSec and has multiple designed and certified DoD accredited systems and LANs as part of a design and installation history accumulated over 10+ years.

6/6/14 update: we're live on our first community node! Node payment start has been pushed back to 6/18 by Darkcoin dev team.

6/10 update: RC3 launch pushed back to 6/27 to thoroughly test upgrades and patches before public release. This is a good thing as the market tends to punish those who can't protect their own coins key variables & rules (double spending is an example of the abuse of the variables involved).

Devs are also adding the ability to hold the 1000DRK offsite (pref.in cold storage) which also reduces some of the incentive for trying to break into a MN.

With that in mind, we'll launch nodes at a slower pace which allows me to take even more time locking down security, which should be multi-layered and multi faceted, and requires constant attention as to the latest zero days and other cyber threats.

Also: since there's been another two week delay I'm now offering free MN setups for those that sign up before the 21st!

===============================================================================================================

Minimum Stake: 250 DRK minimum needed for a 25% stake, client may own entire DRK MN.
Small teams simplify accounting, paperwork and decision making.

We may consider 10% stakes on Batch 3 (Please send a PM if this interests you).

**  By Request: 10% Ownership stakes are Now available for Batch 3 until June 21, 9PM HST! **

Developer Update: MasterNode Payments have now doubled from 10% to 20%!

I hope to offer the first legitimate matching service of vetted network engineers and administrators and those seeking help with securely setting up and/or managing their own Darkcoin MasterNode or DRK MN. I have a long history of helping others, standing up for fellow miners, and NOT taking community funds entrusted to me for volume priced miners that are NOT mine, when I founded DyslexicZombei's Miners Cooperative, the largest Bitcoin public miner's co-op of 2013.

I've discussed my credentials for holding such an important supervisory and security position in these threads below on Reddit:

http://www.reddit.com/r/DRKCoin/comments/268lnf/looking_for_a_5050_master_node_partner/

Helping others and volunteering in my local community is something I do for free:

...and all over the internet from here, to Reddit, to Surfermag BB (user KauaiDKer, ID est. 2005), ebay (with my wife rainbowlady03, trust rating 162), and real life.

=============================================================================================

Benefits of running a Darkcoin MasterNode vs. ordering a Bitcoin Miner:

- Appreciates in value over time: One month ago on April 27, the USD value of a DRK node's reserved coins was $1.6K. On May 13, 14 days ago it was $2.7K. Today on May 27, it currently requires approx. $12K worth of reserved DRK to start a node.
- So far: Does NOT depreciate in value at double digits every month like a Bitcoin Miner which continuously yields less BTC as difficulty skyrockets
- Receives 10% 20%! of DRK coins generated on the DRK MN (5/27 dev. Update)
- Provides a revenue stream that pays out in DRK coins, the fastest growing major alt-coin, which has outperformed BTC growth in value tremendously in the last few months.
- To get started: Does NOT rely on an ASIC mfg. that may either keep the funds (looking at you HashFast) or delivers late and/or overpriced hardware that likely will never ROI.
- Coins can be removed at any time (but ownership transfers using separate transactions should be utilized instead of withdrawing coins from the team's 1000 reserved DRK for the MN when switching partial stake owners)

SERVICES OFFERED

1. DARKCOIN MASTERNODE SETUP AND HANDOFF
2. DARKCOIN MASTERNODE SETUP AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES
3. MATCHMAKING SERVICES (Planned)

1. I, or an IT Network Professional I personally vet, will set up and handoff your own Darkcoin MasterNode for a service fee of 30 DRK and/or perform ongoing management services. This includes setting up and securing pro-level protection for antivirus, firewall, and DDOS protection which *must* be paid by the team of 2-4 people setting up a DRK MN. Any used admin accounts will be handed over for Password changes. Beyond normal setup of security, we will not responsible for on-going security and losses incurred due to poor or non-existent security after the handoff. The handoff assumes that the client will have pro level firewall and DDOS protections that we installed kept in place and subcriptions kept active.

2. I, or an IT Network Professional I personally vet, will set up for a service fee of 30 DRK (setup fees are waived for Batches 1 and 2!) and manage your DRK MN for an agreed upon rate of 1.5% (recommended) to 3%. As a benefit to Batch 1-2 Partners for being first to recognize the value of them, these first Nodes will be services will only be managed at only 1.5%!

Payouts are twice a month minus the agreed upon management fee of 1.5% for Batches 1 & 2
. Payouts and accounting of stake ownerships will be handled by thomas_s. , the head of logistics for MinerSource.net and my co-founder of the DZ MC. His integrity in the Crypto community is without question and he has handled literally thousands of BTC worth of the community's funds and mining hardware without issue.

3. (Planned) Please contact me if you are a Network Engineer or Administrator and you would like to help others set up their own Darkcoin MasterNodes. You must be willing to share your personal ID and your LinkedIn info to confirm your credentials to become vetted. So far, I have protected the personal information of about 12 vetted Group Buy Coordinators and/or Miner Hosts on this forum.

** For Engineers and Administrators who are referred to setting up or managing a client's DRK MN, a one time 10% Referral fee of management fees for the first month or 10% of the service fee is sent to DZ for helping to set up this matchmaking service, vetting qualified network professionals, and acting as a marketing agent for network pros. **

Referral fees will go to this DRK address: XuFmZmR5x66gbyR4rKMNBj3wPXzdoybFZJ
3  Economy / Services / Forum Vetting Services for new sellers from the Founder of Team DZ, #6 BTCGuild on: February 12, 2014, 02:22:06 AM
Hi,

If you're a new seller or re-seller, you're going to face a lot of skepticism and distrust from those worried that you'll just take the collect BTC and run.

One way that new sellers can obviate this distrust and meet it head on is to willingly offer your ID and other info to trusted forum veterans who provide vetting services. This ID is kept on record and released only to relevant authorities if the situation warrants it.

My Qualifications:

- Vetted 14 Group Buy Coordinators and/or Miner Hosts in the last 7 months including GB sellers and Miner Hosts such as thomas_s, bobsag3, Dabs, SolarWindMiningCo, and Thyatis, among others.
- Founded the largest public Bitcoin Miner's Co-op: DyslexicZombei's Miners Co-op and we currently sit at #6 on BTCGuild's Team Hashrate rankings, at the largest mining pool around, ahead of teams from countries like Canada, Germany, and Korea:

https://www.btcguild.com/index.php?page=rankings&section=teams

- Been entrusted with well over 1000BTC of the community's BTC without issues

Requirements:

- You'll need to send a clear pic of an ID, a clear pic of you holding said ID, and a social media profile for me to check out (pref. LinkedIn)
- Contact me if you intend to retire from forum sales so that your info can be safely deleted, if necessary
- Please send a Skype contact invite or a forum PM, subject: Forum Vetting Services

Fee:

- The fee is $10, payable in BTC at the current Coindesk exchange rate.
- I will PGP sign your first sales thread stating that I have on hand what appears to be your legitimate photo ID and supporting information.

Disclaimer:

- I am NOT responsible for someone sending a fake ID and fake social media profile but will do my very best to ferret out such schemes, having had some background in ID verification and years of professional experience in Information Security at various Research Labs.

4  Economy / Service Announcements / [ANN] BTC Escrow Alternative: DZ Arbitration Agency on: January 03, 2014, 07:04:33 AM
Please see our new services at: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=396816.0

The dirty little secret of BTC escrow is...there is no BTC escrow! Everyone offering BTC escrow does not appear to be licensed or bonded for true escrow.

This new service offers the same functionality without all the licensing and bonding, just by taking advantage of built-in Blockchain tools!

Here's my profile at Bitrated, for those that are interested and want to go straight to Bitrated:

5  Economy / Services / Escrow Alternative: DZ Arbitration Agency at Bitrated on: January 03, 2014, 06:51:05 AM

https://www.bitrated.com/u/DyslexicZombei

There are two problems related to Bitcoin commerce for larger transactions:

1) Using traditional methods there are *no chargeback or dispute* systems in place for normal Bitcoin transactions.
2) While escrow is recommended: Traditional BTC "Escrow" services are not true licensed and bonded Escrow services with
business insurance.

An interesting thing about Bitcoin Escrow (and an open secret not usually talked about like the Emperor's New Clothes)...is that there appears to be *no true* licensed and bonded Escrow services for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency transactions. Since John K. has been incognito - the same person who vetted me - I've decided to approach this market vacuum in the same way that I approached the Group Buys forum: with openness and by sharing the work.

Solution: One method of dealing with the high costs of setting up Escrow Service licensing and bonding...is just to not use it at all, but instead utilize built-in features of the BTC protocol to let you insert a neutral, trusted 3rd party who can serve the similar purposes to escrow...but without the high barriers to entry required by true Escrow licensing and bonding.

It's one of the underutilized beauties of the BTC protocol itself that will likely need to take off if Bitcoin is going to ever be taken seriously by mainstream, neutral users. Using this method, one can make use of an arbitrator to release funds back to a buyer, if fraud has occurred.

Advantages of this method include:

- The ability to reverse a transaction (which you'd want for an expensive transaction) upon valid proof being presented
- The Arbitrator is not required to release funds in the course of a normal transaction
- The Arbitrator *never* has control of the funds, and cannot steal them from the two other transaction participants.
- The private keys involved are never seen on the server side as far as implementation of this API

You can read more about it here: https://www.bitrated.com/

Since August, I've provided the world's first Group Buy Escrow Coordination Services for the Group Buys Forum, where I've
helped facilitate seven figures worth of BTC deals, including about 100TH/s of PAID ASIC miners (for comparison's sake
the Elgius Pool is about 110TH/s total) and have coordinated the escrowed buyouts of miners such as this:

http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll87/SurfSkateKauai/HashFastDZGroupBuyBuyoutofHashFastOrder616at-cost.png
http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll87/SurfSkateKauai/a8295a7b-3c53-4bb6-98ab-f74a3276e00e.jpg

Without any major complaints about fund handling: We've handled well over 1000 BTC in the course of being a community focal point for gathering funds for Bitcoin ASIC miners. Here are some examples of wallets that my co-leader thomas_s and I have used in the course of gathering and sending these funds to manufacturers.

262 BTC - https://blockchain.info/address/1C5R7t1XdVPxUBFUnBWJnRPx7ZMZBgnv7L
600+BTC - https://blockchain.info/address/14YUzGrVPBdCAf6VpJuLVDVciVyzfZJiSu

We can send a signed message from any of these wallets, if necessary. With a model of openness, transparency, representative democracy, and listening to our co-op members, we've built what appears to be the world's largest and most diverse bitcoin miners cooperative.

In addition: Here's our endorsements and trust ratings:

6  Bitcoin / Group buys / Trade your DZ MC GB shares with other buyers / sellers at our Official Subreddit on: December 27, 2013, 02:47:50 AM
(Credit to veteran DZ MC member amer for suggesting this to me via PM)

I've set up a subreddit thread where you're free to trade your DZ MC GB shares with other buyers and sellers.

We strongly discourage refunds on GBs due to the chaos they cause (esp. on paid BTC orders) but selling your share to someone else without a 1.5% refund fee is a great path forward in many situations where funds are somehow needed for short term emergencies, as there is a ready pool of DZ MC members looking for hashrate from previous Rounds. [Reminder: new buyers *must* pay a 0.75% 0.01 BTC share transfer fee before this ownership transfer is officially recognized by the co-op. This fee is also now put in place for *any* wallet address changes from the original wallet address.]

We've done or are doing 21 rounds of BTC fundraising (many with subrounds) for Industrial Class Rigs in only 4.25 months! Here's your chance to either buy or sell GB shares from any one our twenty one Rounds of fractional ownership of Bitcoin (and even LTC/ALT) miners.

Cheers!

8  Bitcoin / Group buys / Guide to the forum's Trust system. GB Terminology & Typical Details of a GB. on: December 21, 2013, 06:31:52 AM
Since it's the season of giving in my home country of the US, I thought I'd take a moment to write up a quick guide to the most common questions I've come across as a GB Coordinator, or GBC, when it comes to the somewhat insular and cryptic niche that is this forum's Group Buys sub-forum.

Some quick tips can help save everyone here some time, which is our most precious commodity, and provide us a common base of understanding for both newbies and vets. I also wanted to point out to newbies how the trust system can provide a vetting method for forum members.

Trust System

This is your forum's method of (hopefully) sorting the wheat from the chaff, so to speak, when it comes to who you might trust to handle BTC deals for you. The scoring system itself is a bit of a mystery to me (something about weighted scores based on rep/activity) but generally:

GREEN = GOOD
RED = THE OPPOSITE OF GOOD

The Red-Green colorblind (and heck, anyone doing Due Diligence) should click the "Trust" button, since they won't have the same visual indicator via colors. (Tip o' the hat to philipma1957)

YMMV and all that, but this is your chance to see how well they've handled other people's BTC from the people involved themselves.

- The first number represents their trust level.
- The second number(s) is/are broken up into 2 sections. The first section is negative feedback / the second section is positive feedback. The numbers represent the strength of the of the votes either positive or negative.

Forum veterans will sway voting strength and Trust levels much, much more than newbies.

The decision to send someone trust isn't to be taken lightly or flippantly. Some people send negative trust to people that particularly irritate them for whatever reason, which is why you sometimes see trust ratings with 0 BTC involved.

Also: don't forget to use it,  Cheesy so that this community can actually benefit from this pretty well done feedback system and tool (except perhaps for the colorblindness aspect). If a GBC, GBO, or Miner Host has treated you fairly or unfairly, then please let the world know!

When perusing reviews, also note *who* is sending feedback. A fun tactic by scammers is to sometimes send negative trust to the very people that they've scammed!  Roll Eyes

Group Buy Terminology

Blockchain = The Blockchain is a permanent, decentralized and encrypted ledger which holds a record of all previous transactions in that particular cryptocoin, such as Bitcoin or BTC.

Hashrate
: Hashrate is a measure of a Bitcoin or Altcoin miners ability to attempt bruteforce cryptographic code breaking of a section of the encrypted Bitcoin Blockchain to hopefully "dig up" some Bitcoin for the lucky miner or miner(s) involved in the find.

KH/s = KiloHash (KH) per second or 1000 Hash attempts per second.
MH/s = MegaHash (MH) per second. This is equivalent to 1,000 KiloHashes per second.
GH/s = GigaHash (GH) per second. This is equivalent to 1,000 MegaHash per second.
TH/s = TeraHash (TH )per second. This is 1,000 GH/s per second, and as of Dec. 20, 2013, is the realm of Industrial Class rigs (of which none have shipped so far from any manufacturer, or mfg.)

GB = Group Buy
GBC = Group Buy Coordinator. This is the person (or persons) who are handling fund collection, ordering, ordering and shipping details, miner ops, troubleshooting, and payouts. Some of these roles may be shared or delegated/contracted to others in GBs run by co-ops.
GBO = Group Buy Organizer (another term for a Coordinator)

Group Buy Shares or "Shares": Are these Shares, like stocks? At this time, no these are *not* considered the same as honest to goodness SEC filed shares trading on a big exchange. Instead, what you're buying into is fractional ownership of Industrial Class miners or GB "shares".

One purchases a share in a GB which should have the terms spelled out somewhere in the GB listing. An example would be 1 share = 40 GH/s for x amount of BTC or fiat depending on how it's listed.

This ownership is usually into perpetuity, or until y'all hopefully decide to sell it together somewhere before it's completely useless as far as hashrate.  Cheesy

Miner Host: The person or persons that are hosting the Industrial Class Miner rig. Hopefully, they have ample power set up as we're well past the era of homes being able to power miners to TH class rigs, without electrical system upgrades. Hopefully they also have insurance or business insurance, cheap electricity, UPS unit(s), AC and fans, experience with miners, and a history of professionally hosting rigs.

Payment Terms

Most GBCs and GBOs are only set up to take BTC. Some do this by choice, some due to the cost/complexity of dealing with CC companies and <shudder> PayPal.

Payouts

Most GBs pay out twice a month. For example, in our co-op: we've settled on the 1st and 15th for BTC GBs and the 7th and 22nd for LTC GBs.

Unless one purchases a mining contract, there is a hosting and management fee that is usually deducted from the miner payouts before they're sent.

Also: you can run estimates all you want with profitability calculators but to be brutally honest it's all "voodoo" in that no one can accurately predict the future all of the time, and calculators are only as good as the data, assumptions, and the algorithms upon which they're based. I would also add that the further out one projects, say: 3 months+, the murkier the estimates become. This is just my opinion and is definitely *not* investing advice.

Hope this helps! If you're a GBC or GBO: Please let me know if there's any questions that just always seem to come up from customers that you think should be added here. I didn't want to get *too* technical as we don't really need to go into all the various coins and encryption algorithms in this primer.

10  Bitcoin / Mining / DZ Miners Co-op is now offering BTC Mining Contracts. 50%+ less than cex.io! on: December 13, 2013, 04:58:25 AM
Hi,

As the Founder and co-leader of what appears to be the #1 Public Bitcoin miners cooperative in the English speaking world, I'm happy to announce that we're now offering cloud hashrate in late January. We have co-op members in 5 to 6 continents, and at least 2 island chains.

Prices for our mining contracts are currently (and will usually be consistently) 50%+ less than current cex.io prices for equivalent amount of hashrate!

We're selling all-inclusive 1 year Bitcoin mining contracts:

$593 = 1 year of 25-30 GH/s of cloud hashrate + FREE REVENUE REINVESTMENT program + Hosting/Management fees + DZ MC Exclusives + future discounts on mining contract extensions for Year 1 buyers.

Product Link for our first Mining Contracts: http://www.dzminercoop.com/?p=1223

===

** We are also working on adding an exchange service to our hashrate and hope to have that section running in January/February. **

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [OPEN] R20x: LTC/ALT Ultra Power Rig GB! $212 = 144-160 KH/s + DZ MC Exclusives on: December 11, 2013, 08:18:08 AM
{Posting here, as there's increasing interest in LTC GBs and there is no equivalent LTC GB forum available}

You asked for a Litecoin Group Buy or mining contracts...so we responded with a Litecoin Group Buy!

These are Group Buys to own fractional ownership of DZ MC Ultra Power Rigs capable of 3.6 to 4 MH/s in Scrypt hashrate. Each sub-round in R20 will Feature four (4) ATI Radeon R9 R290x GPUs with 4 GB of GDDR5 per GPU. These are the Lamborghinis of the Scrypt mining world.

This LTC GB is meant for those looking to diversify from BTC Buy/Hold, and BTC GBs into Litecoin GBs. Litecoin is now widely seen as the "Silver" to Bitcoin's "Gold"-like standard, and has had massive appreciation in value recently. The network difficulty growth is also much lower in Scrypt mining.

12/11 Clarification:

** We will be doing multipool, even multi-coin mining. I listed this as an LTC GB but we will definitely be mining some of the better known ALT coins when it makes sense, as we're big fans of triangular arbitrage. Payouts will be in LTC (please leave your LTC wallet address for payouts in order comments or send a follow up support ticket) **

======================================================================================================

please visit the new DZ Miner's Coop website.

======================================================================================================

25 shares are available in each rig. Each share gives you 1/25th of the rig's hashrate (minus low cost professional hosting/management fees).

If this GB sells out, we simply open up another sub-round called R20B. We can repeat this as needed, as R20x doesn't face the same hardware shortages that are often found in the ASIC Bitcoin miner world, since GPUs and PCs are essentially commodities at this time, as opposed to the prototypes we all get sent (AKA as ASIC miners). Inventory is essentially Unlimited for R20x, so there's no worries about running out of GB shares.

** Each user is limited to only 6 shares per rig/sub-round (6 shares in R20A, 6 shares in R20B, etc., etc.) so that other people get a chance to own a part of the rig, and so that too much ownership/votes don't reside in any one person's hands. Purchases of 6 or more shares will be automatically split amongst multiple GPU rigs/sub-rounds. **

===

Site Link: http://www.dzminercoop.com/?p=1197

1 share = $212 = 144-160 KH/s for 6 months
(unless there's a push from owners to sell the equipment earlier) + access to ultra low cost miner hosting at $300 per rig per month (and a 0.5% Management Fee). We will sell the unit or decide to continue running it before the 6 month mark.

This share price includes assembly/testing/troubleshooting & access to monthly low fixed costs for business insured hosting/management fees in a professional ASIC/GPU Miner Colocation Facility built just for LTC/BTC miners in conjunction with Miner Hosting LLC run by bobsag3.

==

[Per the rest of our other forum GBs, any resales at the 5-7 month mark will have the proceeds split by proportion to one's ownership of that Round's rig minus a 1.5% co-op transaction fee for handling this sale]

Share price includes funds to purchase an entire DZ MC LTC Ultra Power Rig, the assembly and testing, and UPS with battery backup. Hashrate will be split in 25 portions or GB shares.

Comparison: with shipping, an R9 R270x video card alone, capable of 450KH/s costs $220-260, before you factor in the rest of the system (case/PSU/RAM/CPU/accessories/assembly/testing/power/cooling) needed to set up and run a power hungry and noisy Litecoin/Alt-coin rig for months at a time.

Hosting and Management fees: $300 per rig per month + a 0.5% management fee, which works out to $12-13 per month per share (~$6 per share per bi-monthly payout on the 7th and 22nd (we alternates payouts with BTC rigs, which are paid on the 1st and 15th)).

DZ MC Exclusives include multiple Server class UPS units and battery banks, multiple gas generators, dedicated extra Air Conditioning plus access to 5 world class IT experts!

Note: For those wondering - R9 R280x GPUs are in too short supply at this time for us to have confidence that we'll be able to get these models in the volume we need, at the time of ordering. If R280x supplies appear to have greater supplies in January/February, then we may consider revamping future R20x- based GBs.

==

Individual purchases will be batch processed a few times a week. Please don't be alarmed if your order shows as Processing for a few days. We're still only 2 guys batch processing orders at this time and we're not at the point that we can hire someone yet just for order processing. Mahalo!

Please open a support ticket if you have concerns that your order didn't go thru after 48-72 hours. Also, please check our FAQ to see if your question has already been answered before sending a support ticket or forum PM. Cheers.

P.S.: Pictures included are representative, and may not represent the actual hardware used due to supply constraints. We may actually go to open case aluminum cases if we can secure enough stock.

Please contact to me for questions and payments or to manually confirm your reservations, but please open a support ticket after 48-72 hours if you have questions about a particular R20 order. If you have questions about Round 20 unit hosting please contact bobsag3.

Since this is a 3.6 - 4 MH/s rig, at 25 shares per rig, that works out to 144-160 KH/s per share for R20x. Unit will be hosted at bobsag3 at the world's lowest hosting/management fees, for a limited time. This should be assembled and built by January 15 (estimated). Incremental and monitored Overclocking will be implemented as we'll be keeping things nice and chilly.

Your share price includes acquisition of an estimated 20 minutes of UPS/Battery Backup + Gas Generator backup, included in the discounted share price to keep BTC flowing during: short outages (blackouts), voltage sags (brownouts), and voltage spikes, as well as to provide power filtering. The special purpose Gas Generators our co-op buying power allows us are meant for providing power during longer outages.

Should be moved here.

FWIW: Hosting prices were actually reduced so that we can hash profitably for longer.

Also: -R- opted to do payouts on the 1st and 15th since he's handling payouts for these rounds. Just means the payouts are about 1/14th larger and we wait one more day.

Cheers!

P.S. Apologies to anyone's PMs I missed. Buried w/ my usual PM avalanche on top of work IT emergencies, co-op site redesign, future GB planning, as well as business setup and biz planning on the pro side.

Just not enough hours in the day even though I'm down to 3 days right now at the lab.  Undecided  Tongue

We've purchased 2 KnC Jupiters that are estimated to be shipping sometime between the middle of the month and the end of the month. Shipping date is estimated to be mid-November, according to bobsag3.

R15 / R15B: 1 GB share = $110 = KnC 11 GH/s + November shipping +  world's lowest hosting/management fees + Corsair HX1050 / Seasonic 1050 PSU + DZ MC co-op bonuses (extra A/C, Gas Generator, Server UPS battery banks, dual network connections, 5 veteran remote/local admins, arbitrage expertise to resell used miners, etc., etc..)

- 50 shares are available in R15 (550 GH/s)

- 50 shares are available in R15B (550 GH/s)

- 50 shares or less are available in R15C (550 GH/s)

- 50 shares are available in R15D (550 GH/s)

Total combined hashrate for R15 is approximately 2.2 TH/s or more.

Priority/preference for these shares *will* be given to R13 buyers who would prefer R15 share(s) over a refund or staying in R13. This is a new Option C just for R13 buyers.

R13 buyers moving to R15 will need to enter new orders for R15 on the co-op's site, so that we can properly account for the R13 to R15 fund/ownership moves.

Please contact thomas_s for questions and payments or to manually confirm your reservations, as I'm in more of a Miner Cooperative Support Role for this particular new model Group Buy (and potentially others). If you have questions about Round 15 unit hosting please contact bobsag3.

1 share is $110 per share, which gives you 1/50th of the miner's hashrate.

Since this is a 550 GH/s unit, that works out to 11 GH/s per share for R15/R15B. Unit will be hosted at bobsag3 at the world's lowest hosting/management fees, for a limited time. This should be shipping between mid. November and the end of the month (estimated).

Thanks once again to bobsag3 for making these KnC Jupiters available to the GB forum and the DZ MC.

11/10 PM update from bobsag3 - In addition: the R15 funds will pay for an additional APC 900W UPS with Battery Bank *and* a *second* gas generator just for the DZ Miners Cooperative.
