1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Time to Buy XRP? on: September 21, 2018, 06:47:15 PM
So XRP(Ripple) has bypassed Ethereum to become no. 2 coin on coinmarketcap and it has seen about 70% growth in last 24 hours and about 300% gain in past week or so. Is it still the right time to get into it and buy some XRP. Some people might argue Ripple is centralized and Pump & Dump coin but a trader basically looks for profit not other so much about other factors.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / What's with XRP? on: September 21, 2018, 06:00:30 PM
XRP has gained a lot in last few days, what's going on with it? Can it go further up or can it match BTC in 24h volume?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / ETN mobile mining. on: September 19, 2018, 01:24:26 PM
I'm mining Electroneum (ETN) with its mobile mining app. I started the mining app and kept my device untouched for 2 days. To my surprise the mining app didn't consume much batter and I had 16 ETN with 30-40 h/s mining speed. Does this mining is real using device processing power, or just simulation mining?
4  Other / Meta / Newbies can't make posts? on: September 19, 2018, 10:08:25 AM

5  Local / India / Best Cryptocurrency Exchanges in India According to my Experience on: September 19, 2018, 08:02:55 AM
I've traded cryptocurrencies with several exchanges of India, I'd rank them here according to my overall experience. The factor I'm using to rank are Market volume, price fluctuations with international price, KYC and user support, Fees, Deposit-withdraw and number of coins listed plus several other factors.

These are the top 4 exchanges in India to trade into cryptocurrencies.

1. Koinex
Koinex has been really popular exchange since it's launch and currently enjoying about 100 BTC daily trade volume, the exchange has whole a lot of crytocurrencies listed in which user can trade easily. KYC process is not the fastest but still fast compared to the others. The exchange charges 0.15% trading Fee, The only problem I noticed is sometimes the price varies 30-40% compared to the international market price specially in case of some negative news price go down very quickly.

2. Bitbns
Bitbns is a relatively newer exchange but getting quite popular among traders and easily in line with Koinex to compete for the first position. The exchange has a unique flash sale system where buyers get double amount of cryptocurrencies during the flash sale. It also has a huge diversified coin listing and great UI, KYC process is really fast, user support is very good. They give nice competitions and rewards to traders. The exchange has 0.25% trading Fee but deposit withdraw are fast and seamless for most of the part. It has one more positive point, the prices don't fluctuate too much compared to international prices.

3. WazirX
This could be actually surprising to some of you to see WazirX at 3rd position. Because it is the newest exchange in my list but they are doing really good work to establish themselves. Their CEO Nishchal has been really active, friendly and helping users on social media. The exchange has its own token which they planned to use in some innovative way in future. They also have a long number of coin listed and the number is still growing. WazirX has 0.10 Maker fee and 0.25 Taker fee. User experience, UI, deposit-withdraw are decent and fast. They also organize trading competitions and give decent rewards to the winners. The prices are also on par with the international market and don't fluctuate too much.

4. Zebpay
I know this is the first Crypto exchange in India and there are still many people who only knows crypto trading means zebpay but sadly they are losing this legacy to the new players because of high fees, too much price variation, disappointing user experience. Traders are losing faith in zebpay and moving to different exchanges. When I first opened zebpay account and submitted my KYC, they took about a month to verify it. Coin portfolio is low compared to the top 3 exchanges, Fee used to be too high but they lowered it to stay competitive in the market. Deposit-withdraw is very slow sometimes, and no proper user support. They don't have a web portal and traders have to download mobile app to trade, traders can't trade directly with another trader, they have to buy or sell at zebpay decided price which sometimes is too ridiculous(Buy price is way too much compared to sell price). It had affected zebpay very bad and they have lost a huge amount their total trading volume which is just 20-30 BTC per day. But because of their past legacy, I'm still giving them fourth position and hoping they improve themselves and come up stronger again.

Other exchanges in India are Coinomi, Coindelta, Unocoin etc.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Fees of Popular Crypto Exchanges - A brief comparison on: September 18, 2018, 12:24:49 PM
As Cryptocurrecies and Blockchain hype is increasing, we've seen a massive number of exchanges coming out with lucrative offers like 80% dividend sharing, trade mining, free listing etc. But as the number of innovative exchanges is growing, the number of fake and scam exchanges also increasing. I'd advice to not fall into such traps and always prefer a reputable exchange for your Crypto transactions.

Here I'm gonna compare how much these top and reputable exchanges charges for trading. The fees vary and any trader would want to look for a good exchange with lower fees and a great user experience. You can check this comparison and choose an exchange which suits you the best.

First, let me tell you, Exchanges usually have two fee structures, Maker Fee and Taker Fee.
Maker Fee is basically when you put a market order which is to be fulfilled at any later time and not immediately.
and Taker Fee is the fee exchanges take when you want your order to fulfilled right at the time or immediately.
Taker Fee is sometimes higher than Maker Fee.

List of Popular exchanges with their fees

1. Binance
0.1% for both maker fee and taker fee

2. Bittrex
0.25% for both maker and taker fee

3. Poloniex
0.15% maker fee and 0.25% taker fee

4. Hitbtc
0.1% fee for both maker and taker fee

5. Coinbase
0% maker fee and 0.25% taker fee

6. Bitfinex
0.1% maker fee and 0.2% taker fee

7. Huobi
0.2% for both maker fee and taker fee

8  Economy / Economics / Why Malta is the most favored Location for Crypto Exchanges? on: September 17, 2018, 07:53:13 AM
We have seen some of the biggest crypto Exchanges, like Binance and OkEx moved to Malta and another bigger exchange Bittrex is also considering to open their office in Malta.

But why Malta?

One obvious reason is that the government announced in January that it was in the process of establishing a “Virtual Currency Act” and a “Digital Innovation Authority” and that both will provide a regulatory framework to allow crypto companies to operate.

Malta did similar with Gambling as well and it became a huge Gambling hub soon. Now, Malta wants to attract cryptocurrency businesses to its shores, and has already been successful in nabbing some of the biggest. The government had been promising to set up regulations for the industry and provide a better environment to them in future.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 5 Cryptos Could be added to Coinbase on: July 14, 2018, 06:20:25 PM
Recently Coinbase announced they would add ETC soon and now there are some strong speculations of Coinbase adding 5 more crypto assets.
Generally, we see an asset's price increase after being added to an exchange, but with Coinbase the rise can be huge.

Coinbase announced on Friday that it was looking into potentially adding cardano's ADA token, basic attention token, stellar, zcash and 0x to its platform, and each of these tokens suddenly spiked up to 15-30% in value.

The values are still increasing but resistance is big. Have a watch onto them.
11  Local / Press & News from India / India May Not Ban Cryptocurrencies, But Treat Them as Commodities on: July 12, 2018, 06:31:38 PM

According to this article by cointelegraph, India is not going to put a blanket ban on digital currencies, but rather treat them as commodities, an anonymous source in the government told news outlet Quartz July 11.

According to Quartz, a Finance Ministry panel has ordered a study on cryptocurrencies, which may suggest that the government would treat them as commodities. A senior government official with knowledge of the panel’s discussion told Quartz that they doubt the government aims to ban cryptocurrencies.

The source said that regulators’ main concern is how to effectively regulate the trade and identify “where the money is coming from.” They added that, “allowing it as a commodity may let us better regulate trade and so that is being looked at.”

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Binance Coin(BNB) pump or dump after upcoming coin burn? on: April 12, 2018, 01:31:25 PM
We've seen BNB performed quite well compared to other coins in the last quarter of bearish market. It is having another coin burn by the end of this month, do you think BNB price would pump or dump hard as we are coming closer to the burn.
For the long term BNB is one of the best coin to hold, it's coming with own blockchain and decentralized exchange as well. It might go up to $100 by the end of this year.
15  Local / India / RBI Bans Regulated Entities to deal with crypto on: April 05, 2018, 04:21:34 PM
I've read several articles saying you can't legally withdraw your cryptocurrencies to your banks or into INR, this is like a virtual ban on cryptos. I think this is really bad move if it's true, and it would promote illegal trading. This news is creating FUD into Indian market and cryptocurrencies are already down by 20-30%.

Here are several article links:

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why Bitcoin White has been renamed to BitWhite? on: March 22, 2018, 10:32:56 AM
Bitcoin White (earlier), BTW has been renamed to BitWhite, the reason is not confirmed yet but I think it might be because people consider it a fork of Bitcoin, which it is not. What do you think the possible reason could be?
Also their website mentions that, BTW is the first and only crypto community in the world, that is backed by the treasury of the United States of America.
Which is a pretty bold statement.
