da ich vor kurzem die GPUs meines Rigs erfolgreich hier veräußert habe (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=23427.0) habe ich noch ein leistungsstarkes Netzteil über, welches ich ebenfalls hier zum Kauf anbieten möchte, bevor ich es bei eBay einstelle.

Es handelt sich um folgendes Schätzchen: http://www.alternate.de/html/product/Cooler_Master/Silent_Pro_M1000/136362/. welches für ca. 6 Wochen stets stabil und problemlos mein Rig befeuert hat.

Ein paar Fakten zum Netzteil:
- 1000 W
- 6x PCIe Anschlüsse bereits ab Werk, es braucht also nur noch 2 Adapter (liegen den GPUs meist bei) um 4 Grakas (<150W) damit zu betreiben
- Durch Kabelmanagement schön aufgeräumtes Rig, da die Stromstecker für IDE/SATA einfach weggelassen werden können.
- Kaum hörbar (auch wenn das beim Einsatz im Rig sicherlich zweitrangig ist )
- die Bewertungen bei Alternate sprechen für sich, denke ich

Vorgestellt hatte ich mir 110€ incl. versichertem Versand via DHL. Alternativ kann natürlich auch über Bitcoins gezahlt werden, dann zu dem jeweils aktuellen 24h EUR Kurs von bitcoincharts.com.

[Sapphire HD 5830 Extreme]

Hallo zusammen,

leider werde ich in naher Zukunft eines meiner Mining Rigs aufgeben müssen da ich den Stellplatz unerwartet verliere.
Daher gebe ich drei zwei Sapphire HD 5830 Extreme innerhalb der nächsten Tage ab.

Zu den Karten:
Die Karten habe ich Mitte Mai bestellt, d.h. Sie waren seit ca. einem Monat im Einsatz und haben stets tadellos funktioniert. Dank entsprechender Kühlung wurden die Karten stehts unter 80 Grad betrieben um übermäßigen Hardwareverschleiß zu vermeiden.
Auch wenn es im Nachhinein nicht mehr nachweisbar wäre, möchte ich nicht verschweigen, dass die Karten übertaktet wurden. Der Speicher wurde auf 320 Mhz heruntergetaktet um die Abwärme und den Verbrauch zu reduzieren, der Core wird auf 950 Mhz betrieben um die Mhash zu maximieren. Der Core kann laut Forenberichten weiter übertaktet werden (über 1000Mhz), allerdings habe ich darauf verzichtet um die Karte nicht an der Grenze des Möglichen zu betreiben.
Diese Werte wurden durch ein Flashen des BIOS konfiguriert, sodass das Downclocking bei Nichtauslastung sowie die weiteren Powerplay States von ATI weiterhin fehlerfrei funktionieren.
In diesem Setup sind die Karten dauerhaft stabil gelaufen und es sind keine Crashs aufgetreten. Das Rig hat aktuell eine Uptime von 14 Tagen (es gab einen Stromausfall sonst wäre es mehr ) - ich denke das spricht für sich.
Falls der Käufer es wünscht, werde ich das Originalbios vor dem Versand wieder aufspielen, sodass faktisch keine Änderung an den Karten stattgefunden hat.

Zu mir:
Als Referenzen für meine Vertrauenswürdigkeit steht zum einen der Forenaccount, bei Bedarf kann ich einen eBay Account mit positiven Bewertungen sowie einen bitmarket.eu Account mit erfolgten Transaktionen vorweisen.

Zum Preis:
Ich möchte gerne noch 80€ pro Karte (incl versand) haben. Selbstverständlich ist eine Abwicklung in Bitcoins möglich, der Preis wird sich dann an den Weighted Prices (24h) von http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/ zum Zeitpunkt der Kaufabwicklung orientieren.

ich überlege aktuell Webspace/Hosting gegen Bitcoins anzubieten, und wollte mal Nachfragen ob konkret Interesse besteht. Da ich das nebenbei schon als Gewerbe betreibe bin ich nicht neu in der Thematik sondern es sind entsprechende Erfahrungen vorhanden.

Einige Rahmenpunkte wie das aussehen würde:
- Größtenteils manuelle Konfiguration von meiner Seite aus auf Serverseite - sprich KEIN Webinterface über welches der Kunde selbst neue Domains/E-Mail Adressen etc anlegen könnte. Das Verzichten auf ein starres Webinterface ermöglicht allerdings gleichzeitig eine sehr individuelle Anpassung des Dienstes auf Kundenwünsche
- Die Laufzeit wäre vorerst monatlich, wobei aufgrund der aktuellen Kursschwankungen monatlich ein neuer Preis festgesetzt würde
- Anonymität wie Sie bei Bitcoin gegeben ist, kann hier nicht stattfinden - es wird die komplette Anschrift/Kontaktdaten benötigt, welche ebenfalls ggf. verifiziert werden muss. Dies ist bedingt durch die Gesetzeslage in Deutschland.
- Dementsprechend sind natürlich auch nur legale Inhalte zugelassen - kein Freibrief für Filesharing
- Der Kunde bekommt natürlich dennoch ein Angebot/AGB sowie Rechnungen (ob diese dann auf BTC od. Euro laufen ist noch nicht klar)
- Da es sich um einen kleinen, spezialisierten Anbieter handelt, sind die Preise konzeptbedingt etwas höher als bei "Massenhostern" wie Strato/1und1, dafür ist eine individuelle Anpassung auf Bedürfnisse des Kunden möglich.

Bestünde generell Interesse an einem solchen Dienst? Wenn ja, welche Bedingungen/Rahmenmerkmale wären euch wichtig?

this might be a fairly stupid question but I was not able to read this info out of the wiki (or I've looked in the wrong places).
From my understanding every transaction needs a new block to be included into. With this block the transaction is broadcasted through the network and thus verified.
At one certain time however (~20 years ahead) all blocks will be mined out. How are new transactions processed/verified then, if there is no new block to include them to?

Would be great if somebody could point me to the right directon!

atm I am running my 5830 @ 975/900 because this is the lowest memory clock aticonfig will let me go.
I am using a ubuntu 11 headless setup.

I've read that some ppl were able to lower the aticonfig threshold via AMDOverdriveCtrl, however I had no luck.

Hey there,

for my headless linux rig I've configured munin to be able to watch the system status from remote. Additionally to the default installation I've added munin plugins to show the current GPU temperature, load, fan speed and the hashrate.
It is not a big deal but maybe somebody has use for them.

Required is a working munin installation. If you do not have one there are plenty of tutorials available on the net.
Simply copy those plugins to the /etc/munin/plugins directory, modify them for your needs, make them executable (chmod +x), restart munin-node and after ~10-15 minutes you should see the graphs appearing.

You have to insert your Deepbit API key.
This works for deepbit, if you are using another pool you need to modify the URL accessed. Maybe also the commands to cut the raw value out of the JSON have to be modified
