90  Economy / Collectibles / [ANN] satoritool.xyz -- A satori coin tracking tool on: May 21, 2018, 01:17:34 AM
Howdy, fellow collectors of shiny thingies  Cool

I am happy to introduce http://satoritool.site to our community.
EDIT : The URL has changed : http://satoritool.xyz

It's a tool I have created to keep track of the amount of valid and spent satori coins.
In it's current version, it is rather simple. It displays some stats about Satori coins and also keeps a historical record of the values.
Maybe in the next version we'll have charts with the price. Smiley
I invite you to give it a look to see what it's about.

Your opinion and suggestions are always welcome. Cheesy

(I am not sure it is the right section, but if feels like the most appropriate one for this kind of tool)

92  Economy / Reputation / User Frenklin spams unsolicited ads to members on IM on: April 19, 2018, 12:20:00 PM
Hello,

There's this guy : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1963953
It appears they advertises an online marketing service for websites.

Too bad they are directly reaching out to members via IM to send them spam about their service !

This thing is shady.

5. I will take 50% payment before taking any orders to avoid 3rd party involvement / unpleasant situation.
So they are not taking escrow.

I don't know.
But alone, the fact they go as far as copy/paste their thread in instant messengers to spam people is wrong.
93  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Why have the fees so drastically dropped ? on: March 25, 2018, 03:41:49 PM
I am curious as to why did the fees did drop so much since the last peak of interest, last december.

Is it just because there is less people using Bitcoin as of now ? Or was it because of a low fee transaction spam that took place back then ?
Or on the top of the hype, too much people tried to use it to transact ?

As I see it, if someone broadcasts a sufficient amount of transaction with low fees, legit users will have to put a higher fee to get their transaction included right away.
The "attackers" can slowly raise the fee to drive it up, up to 1000sat+/byte as we saw. Miners could coordinate efforts to conduct this attack since they recover the fees.
With all the BTC/BCH drama, I don't know what Ver and his friends are up to in order to drag people on their coin.

Today, 40sat/byte will include your transaction in the next block.

What are your thoughts on this matter ? What explains the fees dynamics ?
94  Economy / Reputation / Hacked account - Sr Member with dark green trust on: February 18, 2018, 12:22:40 PM
I have found this one. This account is used to post in favor of various scam ICOs ..

User wafdawg : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=209436

The original user created another account in october 2017 : therealwafdawg - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1212782
He mentionned the fact his old account was hacked in his first message on the new account : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1866936.msg23113574#msg23113574)

TookDK verified this user with a signed message from an older address posted by wafdawg : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=721161.msg8170127#msg8170127

There is a 2 years break with no posts on wafdawg account, between June 2015 and June 2017. Before this break, the user was very active in the collectibles section.
After, he mostly posts in altcoins discussions.
He also left some positive feedback to dashingriddler in august 2017. (The only feedback he left after the 2 years break). (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=124502)
Dashingriddler was the user account used to post the ANN of the Centra scam.
95  Economy / Scam Accusations / WritingG123 scammed a charity raffle on: February 04, 2018, 10:51:28 AM
What happened:
WritingG123 took part in a charity raffle organized by Hhampuz.
There was no fixed ticket price, Hhampuz made is so 100% of the tickets sales will be donated to a charity.
The rate was 5 tickets for 1 txid you send.
WritingG123 sent transactions with a 44sat/byte fee.
In the end, he sent 4 BTC transactions, and only 2 were included in the blockchain.
The first 2 transactions were around ~4.5 USD, the latter 2 were about ~2.5 USD.

WritingG123 had 20 spots in the raffle. Do you think he'd send back his prize if he would have won with tickets bought with never confirmed transactions ?

This is so cheap to steal from charities.
If you need to make your opinion on this matter, please read the latest thread about him, in the collectibles section. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2874963.0)

Reference Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2874963.msg29556075#msg29556075
Amount Scammed: 2x donations to charities. (Donations amounts were up to the participants.)
Payment Method: BTC
Proof of Payment: The txid never confirmed
PM/Chat Logs: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2874963
Additional Notes: That guy is a prized cunt.
I have always been a steadfast supporter of the elimination of welfare, and population purging by killing off the poor.

I want to purchase a single (maybe a few depending on the price).

The serial number and forkness doesn't matter.

Preferred to purchase from an EU seller. Smiley

Thanks !
97  Economy / Reputation / Sold account found on: January 27, 2018, 12:27:20 PM
There was some user in the French subsection who was looking to sell his account.
This is the account : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=843095

Apparently the sale has happened. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2187393.msg28673405#msg28673405)
I know you guys don't understand French, but here is the LTC transaction to pay for the account : https://live.blockcypher.com/ltc/tx/ccf6ece40e742bc3a14cf72a3e3221c7d20f8ed2943a7904eba192f601279fd5/

The account is very active since the 22nd, it barely posted once per day before the sale. Also the account email was changed recently.

Lots of red flags there..
98  Economy / Collectibles / [Auction] Polymerbit 1/5 BTC (Test) + 1/10 BTC - Same Serial on: December 30, 2017, 11:15:50 AM
Welcome to this Polymerbit set auction !

This is a set of two notes from the early issuings by polymerbit.
The 0.2 BTC note is a Test V2 note. That serie has been originally limited to 50.
Both notes are sharing the same serial number. (A0723) That makes this "limited to 50" note very unique.

Starting bid : 0.001BTC
Bid increments : 0.001BTC

99  Economy / Economics / Will the next crypto-depression be longer/harder than 2014-2017 ? on: December 06, 2017, 11:36:13 PM
I wonder .. With bitcoin touching such heights, do you think the time it will take until the next bubble will be even longer than between the 2013 one and this one ?

I suppose the price will increase from bubble to bubble with a higher "plateau" than before, before bubbles. Each plateau shouldn't go as low as the previous one.
These suppositions are based on the fact that the overall value of bitcoin increases after each bubble without going down to previous lows.
This should happen until we see a "massive adoption".

(By the way, I'm not sure if even 1% of the world population knows about bitcoin, and the early adopters are the first 20% .. so we are like .. early adopters of early adopters Tongue)

Any thoughts on that matter ?

-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

I feel like sharing this because I do not condone any form of trust abuse, shady behavior, scamming ..

I've been PMed by EtihadBitcoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1235744) and asked to leave someone a positive feedback.  Huh
When I informed him that I do not condone trust abuse and asked him if he wants negative trust for asking me this, the user insisted and found a way to make my feedback appear legit.
Since he insisted, I can't resist giving him a negative one for trust abuse.
So here comes this thread !

The story unfolds as I am writing this, I'm feel like I'm lurking in the shadow, waiting for the guy to reveal me the name of the member I have to give trust to.  Grin

[-5 mn into the future-]

Okay, so I am supposed to leave positive trust to dashingriddler (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=124502) after I bought 20 CENTRA tokens ($17 as of now) that he'd pay for.
This is the token : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2114806.0
Gosh, I feel offended that my positive rating has so little value !  Grin

Anyway, here are the screenshots : (I have quoted all hist PMs, read the quotes to have his original messages)

2nd screenshot :

His last reply. I stopped communication at this point :

He says he bought an account from me a long time ago. That may have happened when I was giving out small loans with bitcointalk accounts as collateral. I think I have traded no more than 3 accounts in the past. Since this day, I do not encourage account trading.
