1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [BEL] Bells giveaway! Get 5, 10, 20, or 100 coins! [CLOSED] on: December 07, 2013, 04:45:01 PM
Hey folks --

BELs is a fun new cryptocurrency that you can find more info about here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=349695.0

Like the rewards from the coin, the rewards from this giveaway will be random. Just enter your BELs address and I will send them along! (My randomness algorithm right now is rolling a d4 hehe)

I'll continue this giveaway until I've given 10,000 coins, the size of a giant block that lucky folks can get Smiley Enjoy!
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / https://cryptocointalk.com/ not working properly? on: December 01, 2013, 01:19:27 AM
Hm, I'm trying to make a new account on https://cryptocointalk.com/ and after signing in I get a "Sorry, you don't have permission for that!" error.

I got an email from cryptocointalk that I need to validate my email address, however I didn't get the validation email (even in the spam folder). Hitting "Resend Validation" on the site doesn't appear to work as it gives me the same error "Sorry, you don't have permission for that!", so it doesn't appear that I have any way of signing up as a new user for this site. I don't even have permission to sign out (other than, of course, ending the session).

Anyone else having this issue? There doesn't appear to be any way to contact anyone on the site either.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN][BEL] Bells - Fast and fun! - Scrypt - Random Block Rewards - No Premine on: November 28, 2013, 01:39:17 AM
[BEL] Bells

Scrypt coin based on the currency from the Nintendo game Animal Crossing.

Logo by Daswiruch

In the Animal Crossing universe, Bells are the primary form of currency. To gather them, you must collect fruits, catch bugs, fish, dig for fossils, etc. and trade those items for Bells. In the crypto world, we just mine for them!

The Bell amount you get from the various items is quite random, so Bells as a cryptocurrency has random rewards in various denominations as well.

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / My transaction seems to be "in limbo", what can I do? on: November 18, 2013, 04:53:00 PM
Hello --

I apparently noobed it up and accidentally sent a transaction without attaching a fee (usually bitcoin-qt yells at me, but apparently not this time?): https://blockchain.info/tx/ef9db135e0700759ac547a3bbc059cc06b712eca9b362c0fc4fbb14d60151510
This is a lot of BTC for me as a small potato o_o

Now it seems to be stuck and in a long queue and not being picked up by miners. Is there anything I can do about it? The position in the queue keeps going back, presumably because of the huge volume in transactions during this rally... But do I just have to wait indefinitely?
