2  Bitcoin / Armory / Bitcoind.exe has stopped working on: June 29, 2014, 07:02:58 PM
Ok so right now I am running Bitcoin Core 64 Bit.
I have my appdata moved to my D drive and run Bitcoin Core with the commandline option for the datadir.
Bitcoin Core wallet is working 100% fine.

I installed armory, set the bitcoin install location and alternative blockchain location in the settings.
I tried adding the --satoshi directory parameter.
Whatever I do as soon as i start up armory I get bitcoind.exe has stopped working and Armory will stay offline.

Help me pls

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / So this is real on: November 16, 2013, 06:11:50 PM

So yes, its real. Big government is here to destroy the anonymity of bitcoin.

What can and will we do about ? For example, Im running a pretty big mining operation, is there anything I can do with it to boycott/in any way obstruct their work ?

How can we decentralise the bitcoin foundation as we know it, they are in NO position of descision making, yet they seem to making some pretty big ones, while I and many other miners and users who actually ARE the bitcoin community do not agree with this !

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The "51% attack", what is it exactly ? on: November 07, 2013, 11:00:59 AM
Hello,

Last days I keep reading absurd claims like bitcoin is broken because of some possible 51% attack. From what I read a pool that reaches 51% could create blocks that shouldnt be there, but as far as i know a bitcoin pool still consists of hundreds if not thousands of individual miners ?

Can anyone explain this to me ? and why this is BS if it is ?

Thanks  Grin
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / How to remove QT Wallet completely ? on: September 12, 2013, 05:08:21 PM
Hello, I am having a problem where QTwallet is not synchronising anymore.

First bitcoin refused to start everytime after i closed it. Then a fresh install would allow me to start bitcoinqt again. But if i closed it next time i would have to reinstall again.

Then i upgraded my client to the latest 8.4 i believe.

Now it gives me a message in the bottom: You might need to upgrade, or different nodes need to upgrade (something like that i have dutch client)

Its stuck in a corrupt blockchain or something, but if i delete bitcoin, delete everything in my appdata except wallet.dat, After a new installation it will say it is reindexing the blockchain on the harddrive, which means it still is there and then its stuck again.

TLDR:

How to remove bitcoin QT wallet and everything that comes with it, so that after i install it, i will have a new wallet inwhere i put my wallet.dat backup. And redownload the full blockchain fresh.

THANKS ALOT FOR WHOEVER SOLVES THIS !!!!!!!
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Am I safe with my wallet.dat backup's ? on: September 11, 2013, 09:45:08 AM
Hello Fellow Miners,

I have been mining for about 6-8 Months now, starting with alot of gaming gear we started out at 2Gigahash, and with expanding and such we are mining today at 20Gigahash, on a blade, some erupters and even some GPU power.

Now I have bought a hard disk drive, installed windows on it, installed QT wallet, made some incoming payment adresses, encrypted the wallet and made it my payout wallet for my pool. It has been paying out there ever since. I removed the HDD from my PC and stored it safely. I have a copy of the wallet.dat file and the password is stored safely in a safe on a paper. And this is where my real question comes, does a wallet.dat file get old ? As in, i do some stuff send and receive some BTC, i will generate a couple adresses, will my wallet.dat file that i made prior to all those actions include all these actions (for i dont know what is stored on the chain and what is stored on the .dat )

If anyone could shed some light on this i would very much appreciate !

Thanks in Advance
