I am writing a series about Bitcoin, and I'm looking for some interesting stories about bitcoin people, and bitcoin happenings.
For instance, there was a story about a lady who accepted bitcoins for socks - she accumulated thousands of bitcoins when they were worth a few cents each.
Then there was the story where the bitcoin miner had the police show up at his door.
We're looking for some fun stories like that, anyone have any leads?

ForBitcoin.com is in Beta! Our goal is to support the bitcoin trade based economy. Mining and day trading are great ways to profit, but it doesn't strengthen the bitcoin economy like trading for product and services. If we want bitcoin to succeed, not as a stock bubble, but as a legitimate commerce system, the community needs to support projects like forbitcoin.com. So with that said, we hope that you bitcoin ballers will lead the way and participate. We see a lot of folks on here asking for bitcoin, well now it's time to make things easier for you to EARN bitcoin. What would you do for bitcoin?- Can you track someone's identity based on a forum post they made insulting someone's mother?
- Can you hack someone's email account to find out if they are cheating?
- Can you write articles about manboob reduction?
- Can you cartoonify facebook profile pictures?
- Are you a great motherlover?
Whatever your special talent is, head over to forbitcoin.com and tell us what you would do for bitcoin! EDIT. June 16 2011 The first week has been awesome. We've got thousands of visits and nearly 500 jobs posted! June 8 2011 Launch contest has arrived! We need buyers. Anyone who makes a purchase during the launch contest will get a chance to win up to 10 bitcoins.

What Would You Do For A BitCoin?I'm excited to announce our first bitcoin project aimed at strengthening the bitcoin economy. While trading and mining are exciting and profitable ventures ( I've lost a lot of sleep in the last 2 weeks ), which are attracting a lot of much needed attention to bitcoin, we need more ecommerce projects. Our goal is to help stimulate the service based economy with our first project, forbitcoin.com, where users can earn small amounts of BTC through Micro Jobs. More details later this week, sign up to get notified when we launch (no spam, we respect your privacy). We look forward to growing and shaping this service around the communities wants & needs, and we really hope that the bitcoin ballers show their support by participating =) As a pre-launch bonus, The top 10 people who refer the most REAL people to join the pre-launch list will win something nice. What prizes should we give away?Brad P.S. Thanks to bytepimp for the awesome pre-launch page background.

Would you use facebook connect to register for a website which gives you free bitcoins?
Or would you prefer the website have it's own registration process?

If an e-commerce website wants to list prices less than 1 bitcoin, is there a proper naming convention to follow?
0.1 bitcoin seems depressing to list as the reward price.
We would rather say 1 MegaBit or 1 MiliBit - is there such a naming practice in existence?

We're looking for some help to launch a bitcoin business!
We're about to launch a fun place for people to go and do work to earn bitcoins.
One of the barriers for BitCoin newcomers is the difficulty of obtaining bitcoins unless you have a $1500 gaming computer sitting around, or money to invest in a for-profit(?) mining rig.
We are hoping that this will be one of the first places the new bitcoiner comes to earn his first bitcoin. Sort of like the faucets - except you can get a more meaningful amount of bitcoin.
We're looking for input, ideas, suggestions, early adopters, and anyone who work for the site doing things like administrative tasks, email support, evangelism, etc.
If you are interested, please lets discuss here or in private if you prefer!

Hey guys, could someone point me in the direction of any apis or widgets that are available to automate bitcoin payments for startups and websites?
For some context, I need to be able to have users of my website send payments to each other, and to the company. Similar to how Gavinandresen does it for bitcoinfaucet.com - but we also need a way to receive payments.
Thanks for any help!

We are looking for partners with ~10,000 BTC or more to invest some bitcoin business ventures.
We run successful online and offline businesses that have generated multiple 7 figures USD in revenue in the last couple of years. We are looking for some people who got in early on BTC mining and have some extra BTC to invest in us.
If you have worked hard and earned a BTC fortune, and want to either support a pro-bitcoin economy project, or want to turn it into residual USD/BTC income, we want to talk to you!
btw this is not a lotto, a ponzi, an autosurf, a paid to click, a game, or a get rich quick/pyramid scheme. This is not a mining share opportunity. We are not asking for all the BTC up front, we are a legit company with contracts and employees.
This is a project that will attract more of the general internet population to bitcoin, as well as help support the bitcoin economy, not just the forex/trade and mining sectors.
Preferably we're looking for a BitCoin angel investment, but we could work with a BitCoin loan or a BitCoin investment to be paid back with USD plus BTC.
We're covering all USD fees, biz development, hardware costs, programming, marketing, sales, customer service, payment processing, accounting and other business headaches. We need your BTC expertise, and your bitcoin bankroll.
BTC ballers, PM me if you are interested in hearing more!
