1  Economy / Economics / Vulgar Keynes on: August 06, 2011, 01:31:59 PM
A very interesting analysis of Keynes, and later how Keynsianism relates to our post-fordist world. This is the kind of discussion on Keynes that I find interesting and educational, quite a contrast from the usual fraggly bollocks of semi-educated Keynsianism!-shreikers et al.

2  Economy / Marketplace / Web Servers / Hosting for bitcoin, any interest? on: July 11, 2011, 03:50:06 PM
I am thinking to offer web servers, vps and/or shared hostings for bitcoin, just wondering if it would be viable with the whole deflationary thing of bitcoin.

What I have in mind right now is a web server for 12 btc per month. Anyone want to know more, or what else I can offer, or tell me what you would want...

Feedback would be much appreciated.

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Price of gold crashes to nothing on: June 23, 2011, 10:21:12 AM
Some-random-supernova ltd, (the manufacturer of gold) to be hauled before the courts. Investors wait to see if shinny lumps of yellow metal will be worth anything.

PM me the problem and if I can help, pay me in bitcoin. Sound good?
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Thanks Poland on: June 22, 2011, 10:48:23 AM
It's been a rough few days, but it's been nice and reassuring seeing the Poles holding steady up there near the top of bitcoincharts. Maybe it's the still fresh memory of fifty years as a satellite of the Sovjet Union but the Poles remained un-phased by the bearshit-storm blowing down off the Mountain.

From now on I will be keeping an eye on the Polish exchange to get a sense of deeper sentiment, what's really going on regardless of the flocks of skittish birds taking off at every sudden movement and obscuring the longer-term view. Dunno if the nature of the Polish market tends to be longer term bitcoin savers or people actually using bitcoins for something, would be interesting to know.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Moving the Point on: June 17, 2011, 12:03:33 PM
Is it planned for the decimal point to be moved 4 places to the right in the next version of the client, so that a "bitcoin" will become a "Pip" of it's current self?

If so, do you think this will give the wrong impression?

Personally I would welcome a shift.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Hill versus the Mountain on: June 11, 2011, 10:32:01 AM
Do you think people moving money from the Mountain to the Hill might effect bitcoin prices somehow?

Note that the Hilll's not on bitcoincharts yet either.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / A plethora of clients? on: June 02, 2011, 04:00:15 PM
I was wondering, the essence of bitcoin is in the block-chain right? There's no reason why there can't be many different clients with many different features and interfaces that all can transact or even mine for bitcoins, correct?
