6  Economy / Computer hardware / FS: RockMiner R-3 Box's 800-900gh on: November 01, 2014, 03:31:46 AM
Looking to sell 2 of my RockMiners that are currently happy and hashing away hosted with sidehack.
I have not OC'd these units yet. They are currently hashing at 400ghs each
and can be OC'd to 450ghs each.
Im open to offers but I was thinking that I could take .4btc each or .75 for both units.
I would be willing to split shipping if someone bought both.
I could also come off the PSU's powering them.

Please post here or PM with any questions or offers.

10  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS BFL Jalapeno's 6 chip Mods 25gh each (free shipping USA only) on: March 27, 2014, 07:53:02 PM
Im looking to sell my two 6 chip modded Jalapeno's. Each pulls 25gh and about 100w from the wall (Typically the unit pulls around 10 watts and each chip pulls 15 or so. Thus a 6 chip unit would pull about 100 watts.).
I would like to get $235 usd for the two units, 700w psu and the avr dragon programing board.

Includes 2 6-chip jalapenos, AVR Dragon programmer (with USB & 10 pin parallel cable), and a thermaltake TR-700 power supply.

All mods were done by Brassguy. Replaced the resistor (R11) with an 8.2K to overclock the asics. Heatsinks are installed on all of the mosfets (top and bottom). Copper thermal shims cover all of the chips because the original heatsink doesn't cover the added chips completely. The original cases where used to create a wind tunnel to keep the mosfets cool (they are about 100F as I'm typing this). The original fans were replaced with higher airflow fans and actively cooled heatsinks were added to the bottom (not attached). Cool and stable  Grin

Price included ups Flat Rate shipping to the lower 48 (USA only)
11  Bitcoin / Mining / What are your plans for your rigs in the summer? on: March 27, 2014, 09:16:54 AM
With summer around the corner here in NorCal and triple digit heat coming with it I find myself pondering what to do with my ever growing mining collection. I am already pushing limits of breakers and hosting miners in almost every room in the house. I find myself browsing craigslist for space to host. I even talked to my local makers space to see if I could rent some space from them but alas they dont have a/c and I fear that their large warehouse location in the valley will get brutally hot.

After all that looking around I think that my best option is rite under my nose. I have been considering moving out to my 12x12 shed. It is in the coolest part of my yard shaded by several large redwoods. On top of that its wired with 40a 240v and 20a 120v already wired. The space is insulated and could easily have a window unit a/c installed. I would say that my biggest hold up is that my yard get very dusty in the middle of the summer after months without rain. I dont want to ruin all my gear with dust and dirt.

So thats my story, as Im sitting here juggling all these options I cant help but think I cant be the only one. Let here what you guys are doing or have done in the past.

14  Economy / Computer hardware / (WTS) XFX r9 270x New Condition on: March 04, 2014, 02:10:50 AM
I bought two of these cards on the 13th of Feb and used them to mine for 2 days I was able to get ~430kh/s-460kh/s keeping pretty cool about 70c. One card was  Ver 1.4 and had smaller fans causing it to get too hot so I returned that on the 15th. I was going to use this one in a build Im putting together but have deiced that Im going to use the gtx 750 ti instead. I tried to return it on Sat the 1st and it was past the 15 day cut off for returns. I would like to sell it for what I paid $270 total after tax but I am open to offers. If you would like to see the receipt please PM me and I will gladly scan it.
Shipping to US only.
