1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / tranferred DGB coins but not arrived in my wallet on: May 02, 2020, 09:04:53 AM
Hello,

I have digibytes on bittrex and wanted to transfer these to my own wallet.
In good common sense, i alwas send a small amount first (100DGB) to see if the transaction and adress is ok, no typos etc. which went fine.
So, to the same adress, i treansferred the remaining amount of DGB (approx. 25.000)
These never showed in my wallet (coinomi, using same keys on my ledger wallet).
If i look in my ledger live, i see transactions up to 13 april after sync, but the small and large dgb never arrived there.
When i look in my coinomi, i see that the small amount is received and present, but the large amount not. Both sent to the same adress.

When i look in bittrex, both transactions are completed.

in the blockchain explorer i can see that the output has a state of "not yet redeemed"
In other explorers i can see the ransaction is completed and i have almost 3000 confirmations.
Trnsaction was 4 days ago.

Any help on how to get to my DGB ?

Thanks.

2  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Coinomi problems. Funds gone? on: April 09, 2020, 11:48:46 PM
Hello, i have a strang problem and im not sure where or how to find the solution.

I have a ledger nano S where i keep some funds on, and in order to send and receive easily (before they developed the x version) i installed a coinomi wallet on my phone using the same seed. So far so good. Sometimes i purchase stuff and send with coinomi: all great.

i also do some mining on digibyte, that i have transferred to my ledger wallet.

At a certain time in december, i used changelly (built into coinomi) to transfer $2200 worth of bitcoin to Digibyte. I wanted to trade between the coins... They do show up in my wallet, no problem there. Now, i want to transfer these digibytes back to btc, but in no any single way i can get them moved....
changelly gives an error or takes ages to pass thru and ends up with "transaction cancelled" So, i wanted to transfer to bittrex in order to swap. Nope, not possible: transaction was rejected by network rules \n\ntx-size (code64) and a loooong number.

So, i opened my ledger live to try it there. After 2 days of synchronising, i see all my dgb funds up to today, EXEPT the $2200 transaction from december !
Now, im a little sweating...
i looked at the blockchain explorer and its there. The wallet i dont recognise; it must be a coinomi generated wallet?
So, i installed coinomi on my desktop, figuring more processing power might help. I can see all my funds, including the dec. tranfer, ensuring me it must be a coinomi generated wallet.

Now, the main question would be: how do i get my DGB safe from my coinomi wallet?

Any ideas?

Thanks.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Trouble sending coins from my ledger nano on: December 05, 2018, 10:29:17 PM
Hello,
lately i experience a lot of trouble (and a horrible support from Ledger) with my Nano S.

First, the synchronising takes like forever. i've been synchrionising for over 2 weeks, and some funds do not want to update. Ledger support says there are too many small transactions made and it needs to synchronise these transactions.

So, i thoughtthe solution would be a second ledger, where i keep mij bulk coins.

I tried to send coins from my ledger1 to my bulk ledger. My XRP went okay. First tried 20, witch went okay, and after this i tried the remaining 500 XRP. (499.5 actually) Keeps giving error that funds are not sufficient (i had 520) Tried 100 and nope. I rebooted my computer, and sent 249 and 250 without a problem.

Next, i try to send my litecoins from ledger1 to bulk. Start with .1 LTC. Error; adress is not a LTC adress... WTF??? Its the adress generated by the BULKledger, copy-pasted!
So, i did a reboot again, butnit stays the same.

So i wondered... Lets try with BTC... And ohno!! Same shit! It states that the adress is not a valid BTC adress, even thouh also this adress is generated by the BULKledger!

Well, maybe it generated a wrong adress, who knows.
So; i try my wallet adress from cryptopia, litecoin and bitcoin, but nope; it keeps tellingme that these adresses are not litecoin and bitcoin adresses as well.

Long story short: my coins are stuck in my ledger!

Anyone got these experiences too?
Any tips or advice?  How to retrieve my coins?

As of right now, i dont trust my ledger device anymore!

Reason i ask here, is that ledger quit the chat support, and takes days to answer a Email, and the answer you get in return could be from a 9year old as well...
4  Bitcoin / Mining support / Help and/or advise: bricked my S9 with flashing LPM fw on: November 15, 2018, 11:58:53 AM
Hello,

I have some S9's, and i tried the LPM firmware.
Lateron i was informed that i needed to flash the 650M  firmware first, and after this, the LPM firmware.
I did this to severalmachines, and it works. Some better than other.

Yesterday i was flashing one of the last machines i still had to upgrade, and flash to 650 went good, but the flash to LPM failed. Not that it said it failed, but i cant connect to it anymore...
I tried to reset the machine, but it doesnt help.
I just cant see it in my network using an ip scanner. No connection. Cant ping it (i have a fairly large network, and advanced ipscanner "sees" an active device wich i cant ping. I assume this is the one, but im not sure.

Now, i want to re-flash it, using a SD card, but i cant find the tools, software, and instructions for it.

Is there anyone that can help me with this, or maybe give some tips or hints?

Bitmain has a SD card flash tool for almost every miner they made, exept the S9.... Huh

Highly appreciated, thank you.
5  Bitcoin / Mining support / tech question in controlling fans and temp on: July 01, 2018, 08:43:52 AM
Hello,

I have my sweet home mining farm in a separate unit.

This unit has a box fan (silent) to get in fresh air, and a frequency controlled rooftop fan to extract the hot air from the hot side.

Now, i want to build a controlling device that i can readout remotely, wich controls the fans based on temperature.

I do have a sort of setup, but its too coarse, and i have no readout.

The input fan is on a onephase speedcotroller that speeds up when the temp. rises, its set from 50% to full based on a tempscale.

The outut fan i set the frequency inverter at 50% min. freq, and with a temp controller (contact) connected to one of the inputs, it switches to 100% freq output.
Now this is too coarse. I actually would like to haveit regulated analog without steps, controlled by temperature. It generates an error sometimes as well, as the switch between 50% and 100% is too big, so i had to set the ramp up and down bigger.

Now, what im looking for, is a way to read and set it with ethernet connection so i can control it from everywhere, and preferrably readout the miners or awesome miner at a set temp. to prevent the miners being fried when something doesn't work...

anyone got some tips tricks or hints where to look for, or wher i can find such?

Thanks!!
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What to mine? on: June 26, 2018, 12:09:21 PM
yup, like the equal named website...  Cheesy

guys, what to mine best?
Where do we think the best mining profits are to be gained?
Will it be sha256, scrypt, groesl, etcetera.

After a long while mining with my L3+ scrypt miner i see that i only gain 100 digibytes a day.... That currently meand $2 a day... rediculous.
the best, are my S9's, making approx. $5 a day, which is crazy as well. What am i all doing it for now...

Is there a "best profit"scenario to mine? the "new" Z9?
innosilicon with rediculous expensive miners?

What are your tips and tricks?

i dont need profit right now, but halfway year from now, lets say august-sept some gains would be very welcome...

What to buy best, where to mine best, and what to do on which pool?

Share opinions and facts here please, thank you.

7  Bitcoin / Mining support / fan connection on S9 bitmain: front and rear? on: June 14, 2018, 04:28:47 AM
Hello,

I have some s9's, and the connction of the front and rear fan are different on some.
Now, previously someone told me that it doesnt matter where front and rear fan are connected to, but i think it actually does.
The fans have different amount of blades, and current is different as well.
So, can anyone tell me which connector is for the frontfan, and which one is for the rear?
Awesome miner gives on some different speeds also, and some are equal.

Most logic to me, is that the more blades, the lower speed should be correct?

Anyone?
8  Bitcoin / Mining / small home asic farm still in progress on: June 04, 2018, 05:48:33 PM
Hi all,

Today i finished most of the work on my new mini-farm.
I thought i'd share it here, in order to bring other people on good ideas.
I just took the effort to transfer th pictures to my email, put in a folder, upload, adjust size, and upload to forum. Its quite a task, and now the pics are turned 90 degree, so please rotate your head or monitor please  Grin Grin

I will edit and add more text while i upload this.

The story:

Last year i started to mine with innosilicon miners that i bought secondhand. This was so profitable, i bought another 4 sets.
I started to read about mining, bitmain, etcetera. I sold my Innosilicon's A4's with good profit and ordered 7 S9's at Bitmain.
In the waiting process, bitcoin rose and rose and rose, and i had nothing to mine with! So i bougt 4 S9's on the market for more money (yes, i roi'd.) (man.. these things were loud!)
My barn started to heat up, and the messy way they were situated irritated me, so at first, i bought a big most silent roof fan that i could find. It had a capacity of 4000 cubic meters an hour. This meant that when it was running, i couldn't open the door of my barn! Clearly i had to make an opeining for fresh air inlet, which i did.

I bought me a 19"rack, and started preparations for the arrival of the 7 S9's.
I insulated the whole rack, and made a hot outlet divider in it. I had the big roof fan connected to the top, and fres air came from below and front.
Result is shown in the first pictures.
Miners arrived, and were added.Weather was quite cold, approx. arount 0 centigrade. A tad noisy, but it was okay.

This worked great, until temps started to rise, and i had to speed up the roof fan, and sometimes had the front door a tad open to let more fresh air in.
Neighbors started to talk to me if the noise could be down during the night, which i did, monitoring with awesome miner.

Then i got it:a big fridge! Totally insulated itself, so adding some sound reducing on the inside should do it!
I bought 10 plates of 8cm (approx 3 inches) thick, and started to insulate the inside. (for the record, the space where thefridge is situated, i insulated the walls and floor as well; the fridge is placed on it)
Fridge cooler has been removed.
Then i started to build a custom fit shelf for the miners. See pic.

Today, i transferred the miners to their new habitat Smiley
As i need to redo power and network, and place the PDU's in the new undercome, things look a bit messy right now. I will make it nice coming weeks, i promise Smiley

First results: incredibly better cooling (the shelf sits approx. 20cm / 8 inches from the back, and top left there's a big hole with a flange to the rooftop fan. It sucks away the hot air and does a perfect job in that.

I have Sonoconnect hose to replace current suction hose, and to make a forced air intake to the cold side if the fridge. I intend to make them temperature controlled, and pressure-difference controlled as regards to the intake.

Any tips or advises?

9  Economy / Exchanges / cryptopia trading question on: June 02, 2018, 05:10:03 PM
hello,

i've been putting my first babysteps on a big trading platform like utopia.

Now, i transferred some dust BTC in order to try and learn.
i see how i can make a buy and a sell order, and how this seems to work. Nice!

What i dont understand: i want to exchange one coin for another coin. how can i do this? Is it only with buy and sell orders?
When i transfer BTC to an exchange like litebit or coinbase, i can directly sell them and get money when confirmed. Does Cryptopia offer this also?

Anyone can explain a little, or know a link to an how-to ?

Thanks! Wink

11  Bitcoin / Mining support / Does anyone know what the data usage of miners is? on: April 13, 2018, 07:20:18 AM
Hello,

I'm thinking about putting some miners in a location where wired internet is not available, and Wifi is very unstable. Therefore i was thinking about buying a GPRS/UMTS/3G/4G modem/router and connect some miners to this.

My idea is to put 3 or 4 asics in a soundproof box, have it have a lithium battery backup (ey, its 12 volts, so why not?) and connect them to a GSM modem/router with 4 ethernet ports.
Now, in my country there are SIM providers with unlimited data for a fixed price, but price depends on your internet speed. So, therefore im looking if anyone knows the usage of data, and the bandwith needed for the miners like S9, L3+, etcetera.

Anyone got some good ideas about this?

Thanks!
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is there any info about some new spectaculair hardware? on: April 11, 2018, 09:04:02 AM
Hi, is it me, or is it very silent at the adress of the mininghardware manufacturers?
Sure, Bitmain has his X3 and E3 released, last month a A3, but not really something spectaculary profitable. (For them for sure, yes, but i mean for us, miners.)
Besides, the E3 was priced at $800, reasonable, and suddenly became $1800! (yeah right, next batch... Sure...)

So, i wonder, is anyone close to the fire of a new innovation on mining equipment? Maybe new videocards?

Im wondering... Bitcoin isnt spectaculair either, slowly declining... i'm a bit bored...  Grin
