2  Economy / Marketplace / Extreme slowdowns on MTGox/Tradehill on: June 19, 2011, 06:46:49 PM
Anyone else notice during price drops it is extremely difficulty to access these websites?

I understand traffic goes up, but wondering if was talk of upgrading servers to accommodate, or maybe its just me?
3  Other / Off-topic / Help with CTS on: June 11, 2011, 10:12:45 PM

completely shameless plug here, but my goal of getting a CTS is very close to a reality. So if you have any bitcoin to spare please use the donation link below.

Also trade hill its awesome use it, and when you do use my referral code please.

Since I began farming coins this has been my only goal.

I will get a black CTS like pictured in my profile, and I will have the license plate say Bitcoin.

How sweet would that be.
4  Economy / Marketplace / Silkroad: good/bad/indifferent on: June 11, 2011, 02:07:18 AM
I honestly think its the worst thing that could happen. lets draw a giant highlighter on Bitcoins then write "sounds like terrorism"
5  Economy / Economics / Everyone understands that this wont last right? on: June 11, 2011, 01:27:50 AM
Like seriously, a peer regulated currency?

Going great now, but there was just a Chicago tribune article and now a review by a Yale JD candidate. Eventually this will get shut down because its was to easy to send money to people our government, your government, or any government does not want receiving money.

anyone heard of the patriot act?

Are we all just deciding to operate in this bliss?

I saw a post today with some dude running a server with a mask on, really this inspires confidence?

lets have some fun but realize that this will end, government regulation or hack will end bitcoin.

Enjoy the ride

6  Economy / Marketplace / 5-6 gigabyte 5830's are going to be delivered. on: June 11, 2011, 01:11:38 AM
I have them, Seen them with my own two eyes, even felt the unimpressive weight they carry.

Here is my Q

Anyone have any interest If I purchased the rest of this local stores stock?

I would have 4-5 5830's (amongst most efficient) and would sell for slightly above my cost.
7  Bitcoin / Mining / If I bought a bunch of 5830's. any interest? on: June 11, 2011, 12:52:01 AM

I have found, and seen with my eyes, 5-6 5830 g cards at a local store. If i purchased them all I am just trying to gauge interest in attempts to possibly re-sell, help out beginner miners, and Since this is the USA (where I am) make a little $$$$.

any interest PM or post.

8  Bitcoin / Mining / Deepbit now vs Catastophe later? on: June 09, 2011, 12:07:14 AM
So from what I have been reading, we need to get off the evil empire deepbit before there is an eventual screw in the chain.

Lets say we do, wait till bitcoins are worth 50, 100 even a 1000.

that would seem to me the time to strike with falsities?

Why not figure it out now, and avoid catastrophe later?

9  Economy / Marketplace / MTgox------>Dwolla issues? on: June 08, 2011, 10:10:05 PM

Just wanted to get a pulse for some of the other traders online here.

Me and my buddy have made withdrawals from MTgox USD to dwolla.
Neither of us have seen our money show up in the dwolla account.

He has been waiting 5 days.
I have been waiting 3.

My inital transfers (of a much lower amount) showed up within 24 hours.

I am nervous that the website bit off more than it can chew and now, my money is gone and I have no recourse.

I have sent email... no response

anyone else having similar issues?

12  Bitcoin / Mining / Blocks:1 Difficulty1 Hashes 121?? on: May 30, 2011, 05:03:22 AM

Blocks:1 Difficulty1 Hashes 121

I have been solo mining for just a little bit and I now see a "1blocks" message at the bottom of my GUI miner, however, my bitcoin client shows nothing.

Have i found a block?

Is there a delay in verification and sending?

Thank you
13  Bitcoin / Mining support / GUIminer solo-mining quick request on: May 29, 2011, 04:36:28 AM

I am just trying to verify that I have guiminer set up correctly to mine through the bitcoin client.

Could someone please post a screen shot of solo mining through the GUIminer?

I want to see what it says on the bottom of guiminer/bitcion client exe.

Thank you so much for the help.

*yes i understand solo mining is not worth it.

15  Bitcoin / Mining / Solo Mining-Correctly set up? on: May 23, 2011, 10:52:50 PM

I am very new to this, though I am well read through these forums.

I have guiminer/bitcoin

I am attempting some solo mining, have set passwords, and flags but I am not sure whether or not it is working properly

my GUIMINER under console simply says "listener for Miner 1 Started"

I see my M/hash rate on the bottom of the GUIMINER, along with difficulty 1, and block 3363.

I assume all is working properly I just wanted to verify as to not waste my time.

is there any verification show within the bitcoin program itself?

*on a side note (and not plugging for faster help) these forums are extremely informative, and besides this hiccup, I have found every single answer.

Thanks all, any help would be appreciated.
