1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Difficulty, solo mining on: May 10, 2018, 02:20:56 PM
Hi Guys

i didnt know if i should write this post here or in bitcoin thread

so i have a general idea about difficulty levels

but what i want to know is "how do you decide to mine a coin based ondifficulty"

what is considered a good difficulty for SHA-256 SCRYPT X-11 & all other cryptos ( i have 13.5TH/s bitmain asics)

what are the benchmarks to look at when you are considering mining a coin

do you think solo mining is a good idea ???how do you know the probability of finding a block solo mining?? it is a gamble but it can still make you a ton of more money.
2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Heat Solution? on: March 31, 2018, 10:02:20 PM
Hi Guys

i am renting a 1200 ft warehouse and i have 18 Antminer s9s

i only have a 4 or 5 inch exhaust to get rid of the hot air

i have tried the following for heat management:
1- installing an exhaust fan to the opening( building a box around the exhaust fan of the antminers to directly suck the hot air out )
2- i have tried to install a y-exhaust tube to the 4 or 5 inch opening the the roof for an ac and the exhaust fan
3- i moved the machines into a separate room with their exhaust faced outside the room(AC in the room) and had the box stated in number 1 outside the room

THE WAREHOUSE TEMPERATURE IS STILL 42 DEGREES CELSIUS

now i am thinking of evaporator cooling but i need suggestions on how to solve the heat issue

any suggestions?Huh

which is more important
1-cooling the room
2-getting rid of the hot air ?

5  Bitcoin / Mining support / What are the red lights on the S9 antimer syncs? on: February 17, 2018, 08:16:09 AM
Hi guys

Id appreciate if someone could explain to me what the three red lights near the syncs are . I have a couple of s9 and one of the machines has the middle red light burnt does that mean the chip is burnt?

I know i can check the antminer ip settings for burnt ciruits but i just tried to change the pool and it wouldnt connect to the internet or show it was working,it also showed the continous decrease of hashrate from 9th/s or 10th/s To 0 as if it were dying

Please advise me on how i can test it

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Bitmain opens s9 sales & makes cash exceptions!!! on: January 31, 2018, 10:59:27 PM
Hi guys

I was wondering why bitmain opened sales on products such as the s9 and the a3 and also made the exception of paying cash

So some people are saying its because of the crash in bitcoin prices and increased difficulty rates

But could it be because they might be releasing new products and they just want to get rid of the s9s???

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Which Altcoins to mine?Cooling systems?Energy costs?Circuit Boards?Consultants on: December 24, 2017, 10:33:00 AM
hi guys

so ive been reading up about mining and i need some help

i don't know which Altcoins i should consider?

is there a specific circuit board that works for each crypto (ex. asic is best for asic model...)

how do i know which cooling system suits the hardware i need ? (direct cooling, water chiller, evaporation cooling, direct air cooling or liquid immersion cooling?) and does it vary between each chip and crypto choices?

when it comes to electricity i know that asic chips are the cheapest and then we have the FPGA, and GPU, are there any tips regarding cutting energy costs?

should i consider buying multiple circuit boards mixed between FPGA's and ASIC cards or should i stick to one of them only?(consider ease of programming with FPGA and both efficiency and cost cuts regarding ASIC cards?

should i consider mining multiple altcoins or stick to only one

do you know any consultants to technicians that could help me preferably residing in Ontario, if so please pm me with their contact details

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Altcoin farming on: December 23, 2017, 11:17:10 AM
I have been posting alot of posts these couple of days regarding learning how to mine but i havent got back with any answer

could someone please explain to me which type of mining is most profitable(cloud, hosting, or actually owning your own farm

i would like to also know how the reach the cheapest source of electricity ? and what is considered to be the best equipment for mining?

if you know anyone who can handle the whole operation and we will definitely compensate him/her

are there any listed companies that can help consult you on how to start and how to reduce costs.....

is there a listed company that sells you the equipment as well.

how can you know the fraudulent companies from the legit ones?Huh

also do you think that Markham Canada is a good place to mine considering electricity costs?

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE PM WITH SOME PHOTOS OF YOUR PAST WORK
