I would like to obtain or build a bot that buys and sells on btce whenever the 1 hour MACD on Huobi crosses over. Is this possible?

It seems that right now many us of believe that the volume and depth on exchanges doesn't matter anymore because the big trading is being done by whales and firms off of exchanges. Or at least the market is being fueled by the impression or the rumor of such.
In this thread, please post any evidence or proof you find of confirmed whale trades and perhaps standing offers to buy or sell large amounts of coins. You can also post any evidence of what the whale intends to do with their coins (hodl or dump).

Let's just get straight to the point. We know we all really just want to do this. Forget about all the nonsense with TA, lines, analyzing patterns from the past, and analyzing btc news developments. How can we just work on our flat out precognitive abilities?

I know there are many threads about this but no clear answers or agreements, so I have started a poll.
Also, could someone tell us exactly on what date/time the assets are counted?
Edit: This is for the United States. Also, this is assuming you're going to be completely honest. This is not about "what if I claim I lost my private keys" etc.

1. What are some good places to buy xmas present with bitcoin. Will they ship in time for xmas?
2. What is the best way to give someone bitcoins for xmas? I'm thinking of like an e gift card that pops up with a cute personalized message and links someone to an easy way to access their bitcoins.
3. Would it be bad taste to give someone bitcoins while it's crashing? Like "hey you might see the value of these of drop by half in the coming weeks but if you wait out the volatility, they'll probably rebound and then achieve even higher levels. The revolutionary currency may reach above $10,000 but for now they are on a steep decline. I know I just wasted money but bear with me here." ?

What do you think? I think this is significantly different from april because there are many exchanges and all of them still have fiat still flowing in exponentially. So it might be more like 2012, or even be just a correction.

I have analyzed the bubbles of previous chart and have observed that there were always several corrections to the LONG daily ema (blue line on clarkmoody) which would facilitate capitulation, keep the rally strong and make the new price permanent. When the long daily ema corrections stop, the rally enters into a bubbling mode. The final steps which occur during this stage are: 1. The last correction to the long daily ema. 2. A correction to the short daily ema. 3. A correction above the daily ema. 4. A huge spike followed by the crash As you can see just like in march/april, we have stopped having corrections to the daily ema, have had a correction to the short daily ema, and have had a correction above the daily emas. At this point we enter into the bubbling mania phase, see a huge spike to ($700?) and then a crash. Maybe this part of my analysis is wrong, but in April the crash ended at the point of the last correction to the long daily ema, which was $50. Ours is around $200. I know $200 sounds ridiculous but that would be the result of us not having any serious corrections earlier and all that pent up dumping needing to occur. We would of course bounce off that level very quickly. EDIT: I do believe a correction to $200 is unlikely and that $300 is more likely.

I know some of you think the coins have shifted hands and there are no longer any such whales or none that are willing to ever dump. I also know that in the past the whales wait for higher ATHs and for support to grow before dumping.
However, for purposes of discussion, let's say they went completely out of phase and surprised us by starting to dump 500,000 btc right now. Where would support be? Where would the bulls really dig their war trenches in?
Based on the walls I think about $150.

I'll probably be at work or sleeping when it happens, especially with the hours that China trades, but Id really like to see. Thanks.

The bid depth on the major exchanges has dropped dramatically in the past 12 hours. Here are some required dumps of bitcoins to reach certain levels on each exchange:
btcchina: - 2k to 1000CNY - 11.8k to clear out the entire book. - Down from 11.2M cny to 8.79M cny
bitstamp: - 1k to 168 - 10k to 100 - 20k to 1. - Down from $2.6M to $2.3M
gox: - 1k to 190 - 8k to 173 - 20k to 150 - 40k to 120 - The staggered bids are gone - Down from $16.1M to $14.3M
btce: - 100 bitcoins to 170, and I cant see any lower - Before the breakout there were 500-1000btc bidwalls
How do you trade like this? You are relying on consistent buying pressure to hold the price up and also trusting that not a single holder of a medium sized position decides to sell. How do you sleep? Is it normally like this during a rally? Was it like this when we were rallying past $25? Or is this a bad sign?

So I was under the impression that bitcoin had grown to where bitstamp and btcchina (and the mass collective of chinese exchanges) were the new market leaders with their high volume, liquidity, and solvency. I thought that gox was now a zombie of bots and traders that followed these new market leaders and that the market leaders made their own decisions based on the inflow/outflow of new money.
That was until gox broke 180 last night. When gox broke 180, ask depth was under 20K and there were no longer any walls on the entire order book - just a straight line, so naturally the bots started pushing it up and people there started panicking to buy any coins while they still could before they were trapped or missed the train. An invevitable an meaningless movement, I thought. But then, 30 seconds later, the other exchanges started panicking too and following gox with massive buys. Then, naturally, because gox was rising too fast and there was no bid depth, it fell back down. Another inevitable and meaningless movement, I thought again. But once again 30 seconds later the other exchanges then started PANIC SELLING MASSIVE amounts of coins, following gox.
BTCE was the worst of all. They were first to panic before bitstamp even moved. The retards there dropped it all the way to _145_ after gox had retraced merely to 185 and bitstamp was still at 165. What the hell? Btce first broke 145 much earlier in the previous day when bitstamp was still _152_ and gox was only _165_. That made no sense at all. So if you spent the any time the past 24 hours strategically making the right buys or holds based on the other exchanges, you had just wasted all your time and efforts and you could have just bought at the bottom of that 145 candle when gox retraced to 185... Good job retards! Anyway btce is off-topic.
My question is... Why are the other exchanges following gox again? This gives me a feeling something shady is going on and the system hasn't really grown as much as we had thought.

There is one group of people who suggest having low bids on btc or fiat on exchanges at all times so you can buy low. Whenever btc crashes, they cheer about the bids filling and ask others why those idiots didn't buy.
Then, there is another overlapping group of people who say that btc is a long term hold and that you should hold only btc and none of that constantly devaluing 'dirty fiat'.
The paradox here is that in order to place a bid or be in a position to buy, you need to hold fiat... So which approach is right? Is there some kind of system you use? Is there a certain percentage of btc to hold vs fiat?

Obviously this post isn't for the buy&hold crowd, but for those who like to increase their btc 5-50times inbetween rallies.
Anyway, once btc breaks out, how do you know how high it's going to go? For example, when it breaks out from 16, 32 might seem very high and a good time to sell, but then it goes to 64, where it also seems like a fantastic time to sell, and at that point it goes to 128, etc... So how, at 266, would you know that it's finally a good time to sell and not at 512?
What indications are there when a btc rally is about to end or that a crash is about to occur? What could be seen at 32, at 7, at 15, and at 266? Is there a certain TA indicator you look at? Is there something in the blockchain you trace?

I always thought that this 145 resistance looked fishy. Ive never seen bit coin oppose such a large and persistent buying force and plateau for so long. There were just stacks and stacks of coins after coins after coins. The low volume also smelled fishy and seemed like a dead giveaway of massive market manipulation
We can now theorize that the 145 resistance was actually DPR's cohorts, LE insiders , and other people who were somehow in the know of the upcoming news selling their stashes. We can also theorize that the massive influx of good news lately was placed to facilitate the sale of the coins. That's why they say "sell on news"...
Thoughts?

I've heard a lot of talk/rumor about these manually processed gox wires, and I think I might like to do one. I have some questions:
1. Do they do international wires of USD?
2. Is there a minimum amount?
3. What other qualifications must you have to do it?
4. Is the 5% fee the total fee or does it go on top of the normal 1.5% fee?
5. How long does it take?
6. How many people can vouch that this is working and that theyve done it recently?
7. How do you start the process?
8. Is it less risky to simply transfer to bit stamp, eat the 10% loss, and withdraw there?
Thanks!

P.S. Does anyone have any new information about what is going on at mtgox or spoken to Mark Kerpeles, etc?

So recently bitcoinity added localbitcoins. ( http://bitcoinity.org/markets/localbitcoins/USD) Although the volume is low, the depth on the charts is humongous, making the walls anywhere on any of the other (mtgox/bitstamp) wall threads look like tiny picket fences. For example, there are about 250,000btc of buy orders just in-between $120 and $125. Although the low volume might make these walls less relevant, they are still fun to observe. Here on this thread we can observe the changes in the localbitcoins order book depth. We can also speculate about how this is relevant to the supply and demand of bitcoin as a whole and how it affects prices. OK I'll start first. It looks like someone just added a 55,000BTC sell wall at $135. I guess this bearish?
