50,000 BTCR POSWallet.com GiveawayIn order to get BTCR added to POSWallet.com, I am hosting a 50,000 BTCR Giveaway!!! I hope everyone participates and that this will get BTCR added quicker. There are many benefits to getting BTCR added to POSWallet. You can stake BTCR on POSWallet. You don't have to have a wallet running 24/7, they do it for you. In turn, POSWallet helps the BTCR network by mining POS blocks. This is important for the health of BTCR. So in order to qualify for the 50,000 BTCR giveaway you must do the following. 1. Go to POSWallet.com and vote for BTCR. You get one vote for every 24 hours. 2. Download the BTCR Wallet. 3. Go to Novaexchange and buy 10 BTCR. 4. Send the 10 BTCR from Novaexchange to your personal BTCR wallet. 5. Send the 10 BTCR from your personal wallet to the following BTCR address: BSLLE8sk54q3UpS1SGtXfMa4EizxSHhpxn6. Thats it! Please Note:You have to send the 10 BTCR from your own BTCR wallet and not from an exchange wallet. Once BTCR gets added to POSWallet, I will pick a random BTCR address that sends 10 BTCR to BSLLE8sk54q3UpS1SGtXfMa4EizxSHhpxn to receive the 50,000 BTCR. This is why you SHOULD NOT SEND BTCR FROM NOVAEXCHANGE TO THE CONTEST ADDRESS. Also don't buy BTCR from Yobit because you will not be able to withdrawal BTCR. Remember once BTCR gets added, the contest ends so remember to vote everyday!! Make sure you vote everyday, the quicker we get voted on POSWallet, the greater your chances of winning. As more days pass, I anticipate more people entering for the 50,000 BTCR Giveaway. You can create as many address as you want to enter, but you need to send 10 BTCR per address. anything less that 10 BTCR received will not be eligible.

NO MORE BTCR WILL BE SWAPPED. DEADLINE HAS PASSED. This is a voluntary swap. It will be a 1:1 swap for approximately the next 30 days. Only 175 Million BTCR will be eligible for swapping. The new chain will have. We will begin swapping coins as of today. For those wishing to swap directly with me: 1. download the new BTCRP Wallet and generate a receive address. 2. Email me @ bitcurrencypro@gmail.com with the BTCRP address you would like your BTCRP sent to 3. I will reply with a BTCR address where you will send BTCR from the existing Bitcurrency chain. 4. You send your BTCR to the address that I provide. 5. Once I receive your BTCR, I will send BTCRP to the address you provided. 6. Done. For those wishing to swap with BTCR from Yobit 1. download the new BTCRP Wallet and generate a receive address. 2. Go to yobit and generate a Yobicode for the amount of BTCR you want to swap to BTCRP 3. Email me @ bitcurrencypro@gmail.com with your BTCRP address and Yobicode and the amount. 4. Once I activate the Yobicode and the balance checks out, I will send BTCRP to the address you provided. 5. Done. PLEASE NOTE: This swap is voluntary. You don't have to swap to the new chain, but the old chain will not be supported by me or the devs I hire. If you want a new client with masternodes, you will need to swap your coins. This will be one way swap. I will not be swapping from BTCRP back to BTCR. I make no guarantees or promises that the BTCRP will work 100%, now or ever. Swap at your own risk. The swap will be done at 1:1, but limited to 175 Million BTCR. The total mined for the new chain are 225 Million. 5 million were set aside for development of the new chain. 45 million are for me for continued development and compensation. 175 Million will be available for the swap. This is because there are a lot of wallets with a lot of stake weight built up. It wouldn't be fair for some one to start mining a crazy amount of coins for the swap. The swap will last for an undetermined amount of time. Again this is to prevent people from gaming the staking in BTCR to generate coins for the swap. This is also to encourage people to swap to the new chain as soon as possible. I will of course allow a decent amount of time for the swap but lets just say that it won't go beyond 30 days. The new chain will be BitCurrencyPro and the ticker will be BTCRP. This is an old legacy coin that still has active nodes. I think that it has value and this is an attempt to keep the network going. Anyone is welcomed to join and help out. Seems like ever since the DASH pump all coins are pumping. Some surprises are the masternode coins PIVX,TX, CRW and EXCL.
Does this mean that masternodes are back in fashion?

I am looking for someone who is willing to partner up to help further develop an existing coin.
It would require a hardfork with new parameters.
This coin already trades on an exchange but is not listed on coinmarketcap.
This is 100% abandoned by the previous developer.
It is a 100% PoS coin.
pm me for further details.

Any asset backed coins that are trading?
How do they get around finsec regulations?
I am looking at mainly gold/silver asset backed cryptos, but manure/hemp or whatever asset is fine.

28.09 Twitter tip bot is up. It gives you some free Craigs if you put your Craig address, cashtag $CRAIG and link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=780334.0 in your twit text. If you are new to Craig, tipbot will give you just enough to post your free ad and test the coin functionality. 27.09 I have decided to launch this coin buyback as I want to get more exposure to CraigsCoin future and also might need some CRAIG for promotional purposes (e.g. tipbot). The buyback is capped at 5 BTC and will be completed in the coming days. After completion screenshots that confirm the buyback will be provided. Any future buybacks will be announced in due course. 1 BTC Bought. 4 BTC left.
The main idea of CraigsCoin is to provide the world with trustless, decentralized classified ads listing. Since everything is stored in the blockchain no entity will be able to delete or somehow edit an ad once it is posted. CraigsCoin is essentially decentralized database of ads that can be implemented on any website or any other third-party technology.
CraigsCoin utilizes a modified blockchain in order to allow any user to post their ADs directly into the blockchain. Normal transactions between users will be no different from any other coin out there. There will be a "special" wallet that will accept special type of transaction, called ADTX (AdvertisingTransaction). In first prototype version of CraigsCoin ADTX's will have fixed cost (i.e. you can only sent 5 CRAIG to ADTX wallet). This cost is called Listing Fee. In the current build of CraigsCoin listing fee has a fixed value of 5 CRAIG, however in future releases ADTX may be recalculated depending on the price in order to indirectly reflect CRAIG market value. Every message to the ADTX wallet will look like genuine transaction with one exception - this transaction may contain user created message (Ad text). This may be any message from 1 to 10 000 bytes. This message will be readable by anyone using custom block explorer. It is as simple as that.
1. CraigsCoin Launch (13 September 2014)CraigsCoin launched with basic features (Block-chain AD posting and listings). 2. Getting ads from the blockchain (24 September 2014)Abe block explorer patch - CraigsCoin ads are added to Abe database. Any third-party developer can simply install modified Abe block explorer from here: https://github.com/CraigsCoin/abe-craigscoin CraigsCoin ads are stored in abe db, tx table, tx_msg field as a plain text. http://testnet.craigscoin.info is an example of modified block explorer. tx_msg field contains Ads message json. JSON has the following format: { "person": { "name": "John Smith", "contacts": "my email or phone", }, "location": { "country": "USA", "state": "California", "city": "Los Angeles", "street_address": "Avalon Blvd, 10", "postal_code": "123456", }, "category": { "level_1": "services", "level_2": "farm+garden" }, "ad": { "ad_title": "Hello world!!!", "description": "My first message", "tags": [ "happiness", "christmas", "hugs" ], "price": "10$", "images": [ "http://craigscoin.info/img/logo.png", "http://craigscoin.info/img/about.png" ], "videos": [] } } All json fields are always present. Even if the Ads message was created without these fields, in the json they will be empty.
The following limits are in place: Ads message maximum size – 10 kB “ad” – “ad-title” minimum length – 10 characters “ad” – “description” minimum length – 10 characters
Alternatively, ads can be accessed by gettransaction RPC call to the wallet deamon. Each ad is stored in its corresponding transaction that was used to pay 5 CRAIG fee. 3. Classified ads websiteClassified ads website with ads from the blockchain. This is just an example what could be done with CraigsCoin blockchain ads. 4. Wallet design update (early October 2014)Working on the updated wallet design. This is how it will look like! 5. Image parser (October 2014)Images will be displayed in the wallet 6. Tags and AD editor (October 2014)A solid wall of millions of ads is not fun. Therefore wallet will be upgraded with custom parser and AD editor. A simple tag-based language, similar to BBCode will be implemented in order to allow users to customize their ads. This is easily to imagine, but it may take a while to develop. The language and interface will remain as simple as possible. 7. Filters (November 2014)Eventually I will add tag filtering so that only relevant classified ads are displayed to the user. Using tags everyone will be able to filter out old entries, use geographic filtering and sort ads by other means. 8. Block chain Search (TBD)9. Digital auction house (TBD)An auction feature within posted ads. Each bidder with send coins to her designated address, and only the funds of the winning bidder will be locked in. These funds will be exchanged for the purchased goods/service between the winner and the seller simultaneously.

Is it possible to post pictures in the blockchain? A. No. The limit for the AD is only 1 000 bytes. This is not enough for media. However you can post links. The reason for that is because with bigger AD size limit blockchain will very soon grow bigger that average persons hard drive just to store irrelevant media. Q. Does CraigsCoin affiliate with Craigs List? A. No. CraigsCoin does not have any connections, affiliation or parthnership relations with this service. CraigsCoin is free to use, opensource software. CraigsCoin does not use any technology or parts of technology protected by the law. CraigsCoin source code is available to anyone, everywhere for free without any limitations.

Lets get together and talk about the giant bags of shit/scamcoins we hold.
We can use this thread to discuss:
-what giant bags are we holding -How we got suckered into bagholding -How are we dealing with the burden of bagholding -what do we plan to do about the bags we are holding -how others can learn from our mistakes and avoid repeating them.
The one coin I am currently bagholding now is Shieldcoin (SHLD). I quickly glanced the thread and thought that the tech presented looked good. I saw it trading on bittrex in the high 50ks SAT and decided to put in a buy order around the 30K sat, looking for a flash dip and cheap coins. I think it was a buy order for 4k SHLD worth about 1.25 BTC. It was late afternoon and since being funemployed has its perks, decided to take a nap. Wake up a few hours later to the flash dump on a FUD campaign that was launched on BTCTalk and Twitter.
I am still holding this bag as a lesson. I consider my 1.25 BTC Loss a lesson. I should review the material presented to me more carefully. I should be more active in my positions and keep hitting that F5 key in the thread to keep up on any news. I should monitor the exchanges more carefully and look for any sudden changes in price and/or volume.
The one thing I won't do, is skip my afternoon naps.
My name is tokyoghetto and I am a Shieldcoin Bagholder.

Supercoindev, under pressure from some suckpuppet cheerleaders, has been convinced to cut PoW. They held a ninja vote and on a 20-3 decision (which represents the entire community apparently), they have voted to cut PoW. So if you want to get in early before the price is artificially squeezed and makes these guys a ton of money, buy supercoin. https://www.bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-SUPERWhat ever reason they have for cutting PoW doesn't matter, its basically a scam. Compare it to DRK block reward reduction scam. Tell people PoW will yield "X" then turn around and make it yield "Y" but not before you load up on a ton of coins. Bernie Madoff would be proud. I hold a bunch of SUPER but if you read the thread, I have been trying to convince the dev not to cut PoW. So I really don't care what happens to the price, I would rather have average joe make a profit then these guys. So pump the price up or dump it all. These scams need to stop and making them public is the first step in the right direction.

I am having a hard time understanding the explosive move that Cryptcoin is having. From what I understand, its all based on a whitepaper, that is currently under revision. Seems like people are gambling on vaporware, magic beans and unicorns at this point.
So is a flashy whitepaper the new altcoin scam?

So as many of you know by now, I am no longer managing the Hyper Fund. I am a man of integrity so I will do the community the service and let everyone know what happened with the fund. BackgroundAs you guys know, Hypercoin ninja-launched on May 25th 2014. the concept looked interesting, as I am a fan of MMOs. I decided to rent some hashing power ASAP, as the mining period was short and I didn't want to miss out on grabbing some coins. The OP mentioned that there was a 2.5 percent premine for development of the coin. I had no problem with this because I assumed the premine was 2.5% of the total PoW coins to be mined, which was around 3 million. The means the premine should have been 75k Hyper. When I fired up the client, a quick getinfo command revealed that there was over 1.5 million coins in existence. It turns out that the Hyperfuture gave himself a 33% premine. Something that he "failed" to mention. Since I had already spent hard-earned BTC on renting miners I decided to help out the community by volunteering my services. The coin came under fire for having such a huge premine. I offered to take a portion of the coins and run the fund. This way the dev isn't holding a ton of the premine, in case this turns out to be a scam (more on that later). Hyperfuture mentioned my involvement in the coin which probably made people feel more confident in the coin. You see, Hyperfuture has no rep or credibilty. But I do, so he basically used me to give his premine legitimacy. The following are the PMs we sent back and forth, from the first negotiations to him basically deciding to keep all the fund to himself.

mintpal changed their coin voting rules from 5 per hour to 1 per hour. But they will continue to take paid votes for coins. So some coins will require 100s of dollars in BTC just to make it to the top ten, and it may take months before they get listed. 1 vote per hour will get some coins no where and this forces people to pay for votes if they ever want to see their coin listed.
I see plenty of great coins that no chance in hell of getting on mintpal now because they have small communities.
I wish these exchanges had a better way to decide what coins get listed.

which one has the most potential for Blackcoin type growth?
|
|
|
Its an just an idea so let me give you the paper napkin version.
We create a pump multipool. The way this would work is simple.
First miners would buy into the pool. The amount of BTC sent determines the percentage of the profits at the end of the pump. Miners then would commit hashes to a pool. At the same time they would vote on the coin that they feel should be pumped. This is a blind vote so no one will know what coin wins. The pool then would use the buy-in fee to buy up the coin being pumped and only after the coins are bought, will the pool mine the most profitable coins, dump for BTC then use the BTC to buy up the pumped coin.
Once the pool determines it can exist the entire position at a profit, will it sell the initial position plus all the mined coins. The profits are split amognst the miners in BTC.
so lets break it down a bit easier:
1. miners/investors buy into the pool 2. miners/investors do a blind vote on the coin to pump 3. pool uses the buy in fee to buy up the coin that wins the vote 3. miners then use multipool to buy up the coin that wins the vote 4. Once the pool can sell the coins bought through the vote + multipool at a profit, it does so. 5. profits are split among the miners/investors
Miners who hop in and out get the percentage from the profits lowered, this forces miners to stick with the multipool in order to receive their share of the profits. You can also have non-miners "invest" in the pump by buying in. They would receive a lower percentage of the profits, but don't have to commit hashes. Blind voting is done so no one can frontrun the pool. Also the coins that would be voted on need to meet certain criteria like liquidity so that we don't pump a non-liquid coin to the moon. This helps us get in and out of positions without crushing the price.
Then we repeat the cycle.
|
|
|
So a multipool basically pumps the price of the coins it mines. Its organized in the way that all the people hashing are pooling their BTC together, and letting the pool operator buy up the coin. My only problem is how fair is the pool operator being. They can load up on coins knowing that when they buy using the miners BTC, it will push the price higher. Then the pool operator can turn around and dump his coins to the miners at a higher price. This is called front-running and can cause the miners to pay a high price then intended.
So beware of Multipools popping up that might do frontrunning. Only trust professional pools that make it clear they don't front run on their miner's buy orders.
Discuss.

Who else was there. I know I was . History in the making. Found this video. Highlighted my name. Shed a manly tear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kHziHm2xyABefore FTC started the whole altcoin scam rush of 2013. Before Chinacoin. Before Quark and the Instamine scam Before Worldcoin. Before IPO scams. Before Premine Scams Before Airdrops. Before Doge/Cat/Farm Animal/Celebrity/Country coins. Life was a lot more simple back then. Life was beautiful. I remember litecoin at mere pennies. That day when LTC hit $1 we all celebrated. Most of you copy and paste noobs don't remember when BTC-E let you use Emoticons. When we could spam "Arize Chickun" and not get banned. Anyone remember when coinchoose only had like 6 coins listed? Anyone remember Cryptsy TrollBox? Anyone remember the real Fontas?

Visa just announced a new Proof-of-Credit algorithm. It uses 11x encryption to process purchases at point of sale purchases. This means that it takes the same amount of time for purchases to go through as Mastercard. Actually, its pretty much achieves the same goal as Mastercard, which uses 9 random Proof-Of-Credit Algorithm. The end user will not feel any difference and most likely they don't give a shit. Its actually the third party Proof-Of-Credit Processors who are all butt-hurt from chasing after the same slice of pie.
Third party Proof of Credit processors, which have invested hundreds of dollars converting their mom's basement into a money printing-press, have mixed feelings about the new VISA algo. They were expecting 20 day ROI on their 5000 series AMD GPUs and to become millionaires by Q3 2014 with Mastercards Proof-of-Credit algo . It seems now that they will have to revert to getting a real job, one that will require a hairnet and an apron.
Insiders say that BFL and Blackarrow are already working on ASICS to mine this new Proof-of-Credit system, which will require them to do 6 months of "burn-in" mining before releasing hardware to end users, whom will never ROI on the hardware after it has been abused like a eastern european 2 dollar hooker. Pre-orders are available, purchase price will be more than what the hardware will return in profit, if you ever get the hardware at all.
Visa feels that this new Proof-of-credit system will make them millions, but they are dumb enough to open source it. Banks in third world countries such as Nigeria and Ethiopia are already using the new algo to launch their own Proof-of-Credit systems, which will most likely be used to scam people out of millions. MasterCard is trying to tap public figurehead Max Kaiser to support the 9 random Proof-of-Credit system, at least long enough for them to dump the profits generated from transactions.
So what does this mean to the end user?
absolutely nothing. all purchases will be processed whether they use 9x or 11x algo. This news only concerns pimpled faced, neck beard basement dwellers trying to get rich of other peoples hard work.

Get your votes in so that RBBT can go on Cryptsy. https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes/We need to get to the top 3 to better the chance of RBBT getting into Cryptsy on the next round of coin additions. Below are reasons why you should get into RBBT. Dev is activeI spoke to him 2 days ago via PM. He is busy behind the scenes working on RBBT, you can't expect him to post every 5 mins. The block explorer was down and he got it working quickly. Also, dev only premined 1 block. Anyone mining with 1mhash TODAY can earn more than what the dev got from the 1 block he mined. There are huge buy walls on MintpalPeople might be lazy, or are too new to the game and don't know how to read order books so i high lighted the shit for you. More buys then sells, price tends to rise. RBBT is going on CryptsyVotes are increasing everyday. If we were to get 2BTC+ in paid votes as a community, RBBT will be added. What this will do is split the volume between Mintpal and Cryptsy, two of the biggest exchanges. Low volume + higher volatility = More chances to make profit. RBBT would also become the first coin to be listed on both LTC markets. IFC, TIX, TIPS, ADT and COL cannot even make that claim! RBBT is CHEAPBased on coin count, RBBT should have never been listed in the BTC market. I know because i was there the FIRST TIME IFC got listed on BTC market over at Cryptsy. it just got stuck at 1 satoshi, delisted and put on the LTC market. There is traded at 10 latoshis, then pumped to over 500 latoshis. Only reason why I am involved in RBBT now is because I recognize the chance to make Profit. When RBBT got first listed on mintpal LTC market, it traded as low as 4 latoshi. We are now at 10 latoshi, a return of over 100%!. Similar coins on Cryptsy are trading at the 20 latoshi price. I believe the price will double. RBBT is really cheap with the potential for 1000% returns. RBBT is trading nice volume RBBT is doing over 150 LTC average every 24 hours. Lots of interest in RBBT. Block halving soonRBBT is about 25000 blocks away from halving its reward. This will ease the selling pressure and should help the price rise. RBBT is getting ready to rocket to the moonHere is the proof. Easter is coming if you want people to learn about cryptos, give them Rabbitcoins. They are cheap and its a good way for them to learn about altcoins. You can also give them to kids, print them out and have them look for Easter Rabbit Coins. You can have all sorts of fun, the coins are cheap as chips, but have the potential to really move to the upside.
