2101  Bitcoin / Press / [2015-05-16] In Victory for Crypto Community, Russian Court Lifts Ban on Bitcoin on: May 16, 2015, 09:31:43 AM
A court in Ekaterinburg, Russia has effectively lifted the ban to Bitcoin-related websites blocked in January by authorities. The Sverdlovsk Oblast court has accepted the appeal of the blocked sites and dismissed the demands of the prosecutor’s office to leave the ban in place.

Very great news for cryptos!

2102  Bitcoin / Press / [2015-05-14] Coinify Expands to 34 SEPA Countries on: May 15, 2015, 07:53:12 PM
On May 12th, Denmark-based Bitcoin payment processor and exchange Coinify announced expansion into the Single Euro Payments Area, or SEPA. By expanding, Coinify trade functionality is now accessible to 33 countries beyond Denmark and over 500 million citizens. To compete in the SEPA arena, exchange fees have also been restructured and lowered.

Great news in my eyes. With SEPA, the exchange can access over 20 million busniess all over Europe.

2103  Bitcoin / Press / [2015-05-15] Survey: 12% Of US Consumers ‘Likely’ To Use Bitcoin In 2015 on: May 15, 2015, 05:35:21 PM
"The latest survey by the Digital Currency Council (DCC) reveals a record 12% of US consumers were either “likely” or “highly likely” to use Bitcoin in 2015.

A representative sample of 357 adult participants in March also reflected the growing trend of younger age groups fuelling interest and practical usage of digital currency. The findings formed part of the DCC’s seventh and latest Pulse Report, an ad hoc statistics series on a range of issues affecting the digital currency industry."

I am really surprised about that 12% of the US people know about Bitcoin and even would consider to pay with it.

The new Starbucks is around the corner  Cool

“This is a coffee shop like the type you find in the United States, but with Argentine style. The idea is to have a friendly place where people can relax and be in touch with technology without it being invasive. I often found myself working on projects on my own at coffee shops and bars where, in general, I didn’t have a place to plug in the computer or the cell phone. I noticed a need in this area and I got the idea for Bitcoffee.”

2106  Other / Beginners & Help / Wondering about peaks in Bitcoin total transaction fees chart on: May 14, 2015, 12:05:55 PM
I took a look at some Bitcoin network charts on Blockchain.info. There are some strange peaks in the chart of total transactions fees which I can not explain myself -> https://blockchain.info/en/charts/transaction-fees

What is the background about those peaks? Were there made huge transactions which caused high transactions fees?
2107  Bitcoin / Press / [2015-05-14] You can now tip musicians with Bitcoin on SoundCloud on: May 14, 2015, 11:18:40 AM
ChangeTip launched a new tipping feature on SoundCloud that allows the users of the online audio distribution platform to tip musicians using Bitcoin. The digital platform, used to send and receive payments or tips instantly, used SoundCloud’s open API (application program interface) to build the new tipping option after receiving numerous requests from users. The feature works thanks to the company’s Tip.Me widget...

"Mainstream adoption is not going to happen if you circumvent the financial system, you're going to have to be a participant in it. That doesn't mean bitcoin isn't disruptive. It is in important and very valuable ways, but that disruption will never be able to reach its full potential unless you're able to interface with the system"

2110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why do Satoshi, BCNext and Qora want to stay unknown? on: May 09, 2015, 11:56:07 AM
I know there were various of discussions about whether Satoshi Nakamoto, BCNext and Qora are the same person. There are also good proofs (text analysis, on-/offline profiles, etc) which states that they probably could not be the same person. Howsoever, they have one thing in common. They released a great unique tech and then disappeared.
What do you think, why do they want to stay unknown?

2113  Local / Biete / (WTS) deutschsprachige Cryptocoin Forum Community on: May 02, 2015, 02:30:42 PM
Hallo,

What is the most liquid coin after Bitcoin? I mean, what coin is used at most for trading, buying, investing etc?

If you take the trading volume it must be Litecoin.

What do you think?

2117  Local / Biete / Schreibe Blogartikel im Bereich Kryptowährungen on: April 30, 2015, 03:00:37 PM
Hallo,
