Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Thank God, XRP Ripple going to crap
on: December 23, 2020, 05:30:23 PM
I am very happy to see XRP Ripple getting sued by the SEC and going to crap. It was basically a closed system owned by a few people used to milk money out of everyone.
I hope everyone sells off their XRP and the entire 10 billion goes down the slide into history. This will also set a precedent to any private businesses not to try and create a 'currency' which they own all of it as it starts off and try to sell it and milk money out of it.

Economy / Speculation / TO THE MOON!
on: November 30, 2020, 02:26:06 PM
The way Bitcoin has spiked as the Monday rolls in, there is a wall of ca$h rolling into it. We are off to the moon to say the least. Bitcoin will easily head past $100k next year and a $1 million Bitcoin is very much plausible after the 2028 halving. Want to retire? Buy a single Bitcoin today. BTW, the train is starting to leave the station, ALL ABOARD!!

Economy / Speculation / SEC clarifies Bitcoin is not securities and regulations in 2021
on: November 20, 2020, 06:54:35 PM
SEC chairman Jay Clayton stated clearly on CNBC Squakbox that Bitcoin is not securities such as ICOs since it is not being used to raise capital. They have also said that they will come up with regulations to safeguard consumer funds into Bitcoin which they consider as a store of value in 2021.
I think this legitimizes Bitcoin and paves the way for more institutional investment. Oddly enough Bitcoin was made for poor people but now the rich are taking it over slowly. Then again whatever the rich invest in will succeed because they will ensure it succeeds with their abilities which they have vast amounts of.
There is a strong possibility that governments around the world may find ways to blacklist wallets or entire chains and institutions may start to honor those blacklists. For example, they may blacklist known wallets used for illegal purposes and now PayPal users won't be able to send or receive money to or from those wallets.
The fun part of about this bull run is that this is institutional money rolling in while it was retail money rolling in back in Dec 2017.
Going to be fun to watch how Bitcoin and crypto in general evolves but what is sure is that digital forms of payment are now more legit than ever.
Any thoughts?

Economy / Speculation / Is the upcoming Bitcoin halving triggering the rise of Bitcoin?
on: June 22, 2019, 06:41:09 PM
So we have Litecoin halving coming up. The media is talking about the Bitcoin halving coming up next year. That should push Bitcoin to ATH?
At the end of the day, miners need to become profitable so I think that will force the price of BTC to rise as the halvings occur. Forget 2020, I am more excited about the one in 2024 which will really reduce supply.
Any lost Bitcoins are gone forever and not replaced so that should also reduce supply over time. Scarcity will keep Bitcoin value on the rise over the long term.

Economy / Speculation / Not only Bitcoin but all crypto are down today!
on: January 22, 2018, 09:22:32 PM
All of the crypto are down today, not just Bitcoin. Looks like a certain amount of selloff causes panic and makes all noobs dump their hands resulting in what we see today. Ripple is down big time so this is not like some banks are orchestrating this or something.
I guess one more day in the world of crypto which recently has seen a whole influx of traders who are chopping waves and this results in take profits followed by cover positions. Not to mention the SHORTS.

Economy / Speculation / Will Bitcoin cause worldwide economic collapse in the future?
on: November 26, 2017, 03:54:12 PM
Will Bitcoin with its decentralized system cause worldwide economic imbalance or collapse in future?
Businesses (and individuals) may start to accept and pay with Bitcoins to get away from the prying eyes of the government (and taxes). Governments currently use monetary policies to manage a healthy economy but they will not be able to manage Bitcoin and will be helpless if the economy goes to the dump. Governments may become starved for cash since it will harder for them to tally up who owns how many Bitcoins. Rogue regimes like NK may be able to peacefully conduct business under sanctions causing security issues.
Will Bitcoin eventually cause economic chaos in the future? Or will the freedom created by Bitcoin result in a greater economic growth and more tax funds to government?
We have a live one, this is NOT a drill anymore.

Economy / Speculation / $70,000 anyone?
on: November 02, 2017, 04:02:42 PM
Looking at trends 2 or more years, Bitcoin appears to be headed for $70,000 over the next 3 years though it appears heavily bullish right now. Are there people with charts/trends etc taking us to the $70,000 level over the next 3 years?

Economy / Speculation / Segwit helping BTC
on: August 27, 2017, 09:33:00 PM
Litecoin has gone to $64 all the way from $5. Segwit helped it happen. Will things like support for lightning network significantly assist Bitcoin's price?
