Was layin in bed about to call it a night or day in the case of it being 7am but I wanted to ask something on a last minute PM I read.
It was stated that Armory communicates with I guess bitcoind via RPC, well if I have something that I want to connect to bitcoind for stats via RPC. Does this mean I would need to somehow find out what Armory's RPC user and pass is, and if so would it I assume it be in the .conf file which should be located in %APPDATA%\bitcoin ?

I was hoping to get help from someone who's done work for me in the past but not sure if I will be able to for one reason or another. That being said, I am curious about something.
If I have a node set up at home on a Windows laptop that's running fine. How would I go about having an external system, a cloud VPS with all my websites hosted in CA I think, connect to the home system to gather info via RPC ?
Right now I have two cloud VPS's (hosted in CA I think), one with all my websites etc on it and the other a currently set up running node.
Well... the hosted server with the node is out of disk space which wasn't very large to begin with, and to add more GB is $10 a month for 10Gb/s. Well, while that's fine if all I ever needed was another 10Gb, it got me to thinking. Eventually it will get to the point where I need to keep buying disk space for the VPS hosting the node. So I started thinking, why dont I just use the home system with another node on it to get the info from that I display on my websites.
So ya, here's my current thought process.
I would like to have my outside the home server with websites connect to my at home Windows laptop with bitcoind / QT to get the info it currently gets from the outside the home hosted node.
Right now the server with the websites has AFAIK, all the files with RPC connection info for the hosted node server. So it should be a matter of just changing IP Address A (hosted outside the home node) to IP Address B (home hosted node).
I'm just not sure how to really do this with a laptop connected to a home network with many other system on it belonging to other family members with the only real IP being the one belonging to the cable modem. Assuming it's not as simple as just changing the IP address in the RPC files to that of the one belonging to my cable modem. But hell, when is anything ever that damn simple lol.
So ya, if I have made sense and I hope I did I look forward to reading your replies.

index.php?page=lottery Ok, that so that's (the above link) a page address of one of my sites. I'd like to do something like this which I know is possible but don't recall how since it's been years since I've required this kind of set up. I would like to do something like this, based on the URL. This: index.php?page=lottery&players=current Displays: Content A AND This: index.php?page=lottery&players=previous Displays: Content B all the while... This: index.php?page=lottery Displays: Original Content ------- So can anyone help me out here ? Would like this done in PHP vs something like JS. Ty in advance. Edit: This is what I'm working with that doesn't seem to want to work. <?php
$players = $_GET['players']; if (isset($players == 'current')) { echo "Test A"; } elseif (isset($players == 'previous')) { echo "Test B"; } else { echo "Test C"; }
?>

Can pay a small bounty upon the successful test of code on my server. I would hope my trust would show me to be an honest person... please check out feedback from haploid23. Ok, so I already have the connection bit down that connects to the DB and can select it successfully. I need a query that will choose table "cats", now in this table "cats" are two rows... "age" and "added". Well, lets say that in table "cats" we have 5 rows which look as follows... | age | added | | 12 | 12345 | | 14 | 12345 | | 9 | 12345 | | 12 | 12345 | | 18 | 12345 |
This is also where the PHP help comes in. The query I need would read this info and the PHP put it in a foreach type of thing so the HTML table data shows each item, like the "mock" table seen above. Basically I just want to pull the info from DB cats and show it in an HTML table. I just need the foreach thing written for me in PHP that displays the pulled DB info in the table td's. <td> "age" </td> <td> "added" </td> I know I probably could have said this all in a much simpler way but I haven't slept yet and wanted to get this posted before I lose what little brain activity I have left lol Edit: It should order descending by the "added" row so the newest entry is always the first td. Ok, so when using Bitcoin-QT aka the fancy GUI. You can lock / encrypt the wallet that otherwise has all your addresses in it. Well, if one does not use the GUI aka Bitcoin-QT how does one go about locking / encrypting the wallet from the command line ?
Assuming it's doable from the command line, which I don't see why it wouldn't be since the GUI aka QT is just a fancy front end to the backend bitcoind as I understand it.

When using bitcoind, what command(s) might one run to list / delete addresses ?
I have a test address I made using this: bitcoind getaccountaddress "Test"
Well, I'd like to remove the address "Test", I do have the actual address if that matters.
But ya, how does one list addresses and delete them ?
Hell, while were at it... even rename / relabel one.

Ok, so I have a node running and I'm working on something which required me to make an address using (bitcoind getaccountaddress "Test") at the command line, obviously not including the parenthesis.
Anyway, it got me to thinking, if something ever happens to my node, the coins in that address no matter the amount are "lost". Is there a way for me to export the private key of address Test so I can save it in however many locations I like ?

Local movie theater that's been around for a good long while may be forced to close if they can't catch up with current systems. Provides discount movies to the city I live in. It would be a shame to see them end up closing due to not being able get new digital systems. They provide a lot of fun for the locals, especially families who want to treat their kids to a movie but can't goto to the larger theaters due to income restraints. http://www.gofundme.com/parkavePs; This is self modded because comments like maybe if someone cant do this or that they shouldn't be spending money on a movie will not be tolerated. Without knowing a particular persons situation, no one has the right to judge so neg comments will not be tolerated and unfortunately we have some not so kind minded people here. This post is meant to serve as an aid to try and save a small piece of local history.

Renting out my signature space to the left of my coin addresses.
Fees negotiated must be paid in advance for each term, this protects me to make sure I'm not doing this for nothing. You may also buy more than one term, but here's where it gets interesting. Each additional term is by the week to make it easy on some folks wallets.
What this means is this...
Your initial term will be for 30 days, should you wish to go say an extra two weeks your total term time would be for 44 days. This way people who want to go more than one term at a time can since each initial term is 30 days with additional stacked terms being weekly terms if that makes sense.
Ex.
Iintial term: 30 days. Additional terms: 3 x 7 days each.
Total term time: 51 days.
Each new contract requires an intial term time of 30 days. So once your contract closes, if you dont add more terms at 7 days each before your contract expires, you must start all over again with the intial 30 day term.
Now as to the content I will advertise... I will advertise almost anything, I do have my limits though which can be discussed via PM when negotiating fees.
So with that said we can discuss everything via PM so if interested in renting my sig space. Please by all means shoot me a message if your interested, Ty.

I got some S3+ coupons if anyone's interested.
Don't expect em to go for a lot but each one is for 0.035 BTC.
Don't expect em to go for a lot but each coupon value is 0.035 BTC.
The 0.035 is not what they're being sold for just to be clear. My original post may have cause some confusion about that to which I am sorry for.
PM if interested, also please be sure to check out my TR "Trust Rating", Ty.

Just curious where a lot of you stand on this who have or ever thought of buying a used car.
I'm in the market for one right now and I got some emails out to a few I found on craigslist that look nice but they all have mileage ranging from high 90k to just over 200k. I know engines can be iffy but as long as the body and frame is in good shape, would you consider a car with around 200k miles on it ?

I remember using one of these a while back but for the life of me can't remember where.
Does anyone have a link to a historical data calculator that lets you pick a starting point to present that says, Ok, if you have x hash, this is what you should have earned based on your starting date.

Ok, so I have three 1Th Dragons I got from MinerSource some time back. I was wondering if they can be overclocked and by how much without the need to upgrade the PSU which if I recall is supposed to be stock at 1k WATTS.
Ty.
Edit: If OC'ing them is possible I would also need detailed instructions on how to do it which I assume will be through SSH. So I''d also need the SSH credentials.

Long story short... Bought a Toshiba Satellite A135-S4467 off eBay, bought this HDD for it. Even bought the recover discs from Toshiba so I can reinstall the original Vista OS since the key was still on the back of the laptop. What I didn't know was that this thing, Advanced Format, existed for hard drives. That said, this "feature" was halting the installation of windows. Got as far as the initializing for the first time thing before getting a popup which read... (Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware.) Anyway, no matter what I tried I can't get this POS to work. So I requested RMA on the drive and now am here seeking your guys help in finding a 500Gb SATA drive on NewEgg that I can use in this laptop that is not an Advanced Format drive. Anything not priced higher than $60 would suffice but would prefer around the $40 - $50 range sine this POS AF drive I have now cost me $50. Ty.

What if anything did you OC your S3's to and what have you found to run stable for you going on 7+ days so it ends up looking permanent.
I was gonna jump right in on 237.5 with mine since someone said if they can't handle that then they most likely can't do anything lower which means perma stock which right now all four of mine are stable at 218.75 ~440. Seems I got lucky and got a good batch where as some have speed issues on stock an end up having to DC insread of OC their units.
Ideally I'd like to try 250 but I hear that offers mixed results, even on good machines like mine but man would I love ~500 on all four of mine. I will try i on at least one machine to see how it works instead of OC'ing them all at the same time which some people do without seeing how on machine handles it.
But most people do seem to agree that 237.5 seems to work quite well for everyone who starts out with stable stock freq machines like me doing ~440.

Do you happen to have a working SATA laptop HDD you no longer need that's just gathering dust somewhere ?
Well, I'd like to buy it off you for cost of shipping, yes that means I'd like it free lol. I mean if your no using it anyway and it's just in a box somewhere then why not ?
What I'd like it for is so I can set up an online Armory system. That being said, so it will last a while. I'd like it to be 150Gb or larger.
Even if you have one you don't really want to just give away, PM me a price anyway so we can talk.
Ty.
Edit: I would also prefer Escrow if I'm not familiar with you. This way I can ensure the drive works out before having funds released. Even if it is just $6 for a small priority mail box.

Just curious what kind of setup everyone has.
For me, as of this post... I have three 1 Th/s Dragon miners along with a Prospector200 @ 200 Gh/s and a small rPi rig I use for fun at around 10 Gh/s for a total of 3.2 Th/s.
I also have four S3's I ordered from BitMain, 2 of which should be at my collo guys place tomorrow.
All in all when everything's said and done I should have around 4.97 Th/s assuming everything hashes at spec, even if not I can still realistically expect around 4.89 Th/s. This assumes each of the four S3's only hash around 420 Gh/s which some people have been reporting.

I'm gonna keep this sweet and simple and yes I know it's a long shot but I see people getting loans here for more than I am asking without collateral even though those loans are far and few between.
Anyway, I'm here today looking for a 1 BTC loan so I can get some extra mining equipment, I need 1.3 and have 0.3 in my wallet right now. I know guarantees don't mean shit to a lot of people here, for good reason, but I can guarantee it paid back with 10% interest (1.1 BTC) in 12 days, so August 12th 2014.
I currently have 3.2 Th/s running on BTC Guild with another 800+ Gh/s on it's way which will put me at 4+ Th/s and under current diff that's 0.10736436 BTC per day so as one can see it's easily paid back in 12 days when one factors in the small amount of coin I already have saved up.
I said I was gonna keep this short and sweet so there it is.
If you can help me out please PM me, or post here if you want to make it public which is fine with me... either way I'd really appreciate it.
Ty.
