1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Highly possible giveaway/airdrop on Cowswap on: November 13, 2021, 09:55:42 PM
Hello,

Check this out:
https://twitter.com/Crypto_Investor/status/1459634081197613060

Due to high fees on Ethereum network, Cowswap dex/service appeared on the net (few months ago):

CowSwap is the first trading interface built on top of Gnosis Protocol v2.
It allows you to buy and sell tokens using gas-less orders that are settled peer-to-peer among its users or into any on-chain liquidity source while providing MEV protection.[/quote]

It's built on top of Gnosis protocol.

Firstly we had mentioned this:
Does CowSwap have a token?
There is currently no CowSwap specific token, however, the community has expressed it's desire to participate in this exciting project. That is why there is an ongoing discussion in the Forum and Discord about the possibility of creating one, so make sure your voice is heard!

And now they created kind of incentive profile refferals:

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Monetha - payment solution for merchants that enables globally trustful commerce on: July 08, 2017, 08:41:25 PM
Upcomming ICO is upon us...
I have just found this project -> http://www.monetha.io/

Guy in tight sweater in their video looks like Captain America but the whole project seems to be quite interesting, and recalls me something from the past (I think about Bitmark) - "just" tokenized and on Ethereum.

They claim to be Decentralised trust and reputation payment system.

Important info from their FAQ:

--------------------
Does your coin have any other functions besides investing?
Yes. Not only do token holders have a right to a share of profits, but MTH tokens also provide an incentive to use the network, because they will be rewarded to people making payments via Monetha. Monetha will charge a 1.5% transaction fee to merchants. Of that, 0.5% will go to a smart contract for ICO investors and the other 1% will go the company as revenues. Traditional payment gateways take approximately 0.25% + 0.1 from the total fee as their revenue. This 0.25% + 0.1 is a mark up fee to the interchange rates. We are giving our ICO investors almost double the rate that average global payment gateway takes per transaction as their revenue. Loyalty program: In order to encourage a networks effect and create an ecosystem for the Monetha token, we are going to introduce a loyalty program for clients. Every purchase made via the Monetha payment system will reward the client with 0.2% of the value of the transaction in Monetha tokens from the Monetha loyalty pool.

Bandwidth for Bitcoin: BitMesh Displays Working Prototype

The elephant in the room of any discussion about the future of Internet is the mesh network. How can we bypass the faulty mega-ISP model, and network peer-to-peer (P2P) instead?

Satellites are usually mentioned as possible solutions. Facebook and SpaceX have talked about launching their own fleets to provide global Wi-Fi. But these projects wouldn't provide real P2P networking – they'd still be third party, single-points-of-failure.

Projects like BitMesh, however, are laying the software groundwork for a real P2P solution to materialize.

First Western Australian Bitcoin Exchange Dwvx Partners With Westpac Bank

Despite the Internet’s tendency to shrink the planet, Bitcoin is a store of value, which entails risks all its own, so the creators of Digital World Ventures, the company which is backing DWVx, believe that people in Western Australia will feel more comfortable dealing with a local exchange. To this end, they are planning to have a physical location for people to deposit cash in order to buy Bitcoin.

Having filed its registration application in New York, ItBit is looking to become the first regulated Bitcoin bank in America.

ItBit, a digital currency exchange operationally based in Singapore and with a head office in New York, looks to become the first officially regulated Bitcoin bank as they look to expand their service offering. The move would allow the company to legitimately take on a more traditional banking service role while meeting relevant legal requirements.

6  Bitcoin / Press / 2015-04-20 BitSim: Bitcoin Between SIM and Phone on: April 20, 2015, 12:59:42 PM
A brief rundown of BitSIM's ZSIM product from the startup's founder, Leon Gerard Vandenberg. By slipping a zero-footprint SIM between the carrier's SIM card and the phone, BitSim up-techs even ancient feature-phones with a new technology stack. Providing NFC and fully-encrypted Bitcoin transactions over SMS, even a smart-contract-capable JVM runtime, BitSIM is a stealthy technology injection that routes around the carrier monopolies without their permission!

13  Economy / Speculation / Buy on weekend or Monday? on: April 06, 2014, 10:45:11 AM
Hi I have a dilema.
I would like to buy some BTC and my thoughts are like this:

- During weekend bank transffers doesn't work so people have less fiat during saturday and sunday, hence there should be less buys then less -> price will likely be lower that it would be if money transffers would work.

So if there are not any big news for tomorrow I suppose that should buy today.

Whad do you think?

Following its successful test with bitcoin micropayments provider BitWall back in February, the Chicago Sun-Times has announced that it has partnered with San Francisco-based bitcoin startup Coinbase to accept bitcoin payments.

That test saw the newspaper receive more than 700 bitcoin donations over a 24-hour trial period in support of the non-profit Taproot foundation, which offers pro-bono service work to organisations tackling social problems.

The announcement makes the Sun-Times the first US newspaper to accept bitcoin as a payment option, a move that editor in chief Jim Kirk indicated was in line with its digital-first promotional strategy.
