7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Dogecoin Investment questions answered! on: December 31, 2013, 08:16:41 AM

Q1. Why is Doge losing value with so much going for it?

A: The answer is pretty simple, it's a complete miners market for the next 44 days, which means it will be a buyers market for the next 2 months.

Q2. Why did the creators make it so all Dogecoins would be mined out in less then 18 months?

A: The intention of the coin was to get as many people as possible a chance to have a few Dogecoins. The interesting part is what's going to happen to this coin next year
when all is mined out. This will give us a indication as to what can happen to a coins value when it becomes a complete sellers market.

Q3. Last week we had a rally in Dogecoin price, why hasn't this occurred again?

A: 2 reasons, 1st a single whale was able to influence the price pressure across all 3 exchanges, this can't happen now unless a even bigger or group of whales decides they want to buy up coins.
2nd reason was the news that will be accepting bitcoins from middle of next year which drove up all markets.

Q4. Will we see another Rally in Doge price before the block rewards get halved?

A: This is a tough one to answer, if a site like Doge Road gets released we will definitely see price pressure to the upside, however if no new services come online for Doge we could see prices
at 35 and with less people mining it could still make it one of the most profitable coins to mine until those block rewards are halved and multi pools find a new dumping coin.

Q5. What would Dogecoins value be right now if it wasn't the miners coin to dump?

A: 155 if no new services were added, however Dogecoin has a lot more going for it already then 90% of the altcoins out there, so the price could even get to 1000 at some point?

Q6. I bought dogecoin at a much higher value then it is now, should I sell and cut my losses.

A: What you do with your investments is up to you, personally I have removed my sell orders and will keep buying under 60 and wait about 4 months. I believe because so many people have
access to the coin at these prices that there will be more motivation to provide additional services for it. It might end up being a coin you never want to sell. Wink

If you feel this has helped clear a few things up feel free to tip me.

I will answer any other questions you might have.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Dogecoin trading at > 50% discount on: December 28, 2013, 01:06:31 PM
The real value of Dogecoin is around 155.2 currently in ratio compared to other scrypt alt coins. Scrypt alt coins that don't even have as much going for it.

The reason for the discounted price is very simple, it's still the most profitable coin to mine even at these prices, so dumpers from multipools are pretty much in control of the value for now.
The good news for buyers is that I believe the price will go lower before the new year and then up a bit when doge road comes online.

So when will Doge see it's true value?

Unfortunately it won't be for another few months while it's still the most profitable coin to mine, once the block reward is halved we will see a ramp up in value even if no other new services come online for

Could Doge ever see a value of 1000?

The answer is yes, right now it's marketcap is only worth < 0.08% of bitcoins, if services and more use comes for dogecoin it could easily surpass that value , also with asic scrypt miners coming online
in around 6 months litecoins value and scrypt coin value in general should rise provided the climate for virtual currencies is still open in free world markets and not banned like in China.

9  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Is this HW site legit? on: November 12, 2013, 07:08:23 PM
Has anyone dealt with these guys before?
10  Economy / Speculation / The 2nd Pull Back, $100 drop in 24 hrs on: November 10, 2013, 05:24:33 AM
We are now in the midst of a 2nd major pull back and like with all major pullbacks in history, they happen in a lot short space of time compared to the climbs, so we have a mini burst but I think
prices will be supported at $250.

Obviously this is terrible news for miners who are throwing a lot of money into these rigs which are already  looking at a net loss when I worked out the price at $310.

I can see a lot of cancellatios inc if the prices continues to fall.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / GH/s value to +-halve every month. GH/s traded independently of value on CEX on: November 08, 2013, 05:21:21 AM
Looking at +-30% increases every 2 weeks in hash difficulty, within 7 months GH/s true value will be 1000% less then it is today.

Taking the most powerful mining piece of HW the CoinTerra TerraMiner IV 2000Gh/s with 1200W power. The first ones only arrive mid January at a cost of $5999.
By July you would have made $87 profit overall and August you actually start losing money to power vs GH generation costs.

The above is assuming a $350 price by next year August, it also means it will be far more wiser to spend the money directly on BTC as opposed to mining HW.

Cex GH/s

Currently traded price of .10527 is absolutely outrages especially with the maintenance costs being added from today. That is over $30 per GH/s which means even cloud miners are offering
a lot better value at this point. The GHS/BTC would need to drop to .05 to make a profit and .6 to break even at current hash rate.

By August next year it would need to be traded at around .005 in order to make profits.

Which brings me to the question is GH/s going to continue trading independently of it's true value? I think it will for awhile as more and more naive people get into mining and also won't
be prepared to cut there losses so easily when it comes to selling them.

However I believe with the pressure of 30% hash increases it will become blatantly obvious to even the most absent of logically minded individuals that they have made a terrible investment.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Mining vs Holding BTC for profits. on: November 07, 2013, 08:50:53 PM
It appears we have come to a point of no return for casual miners when it comes to profits. IMO it is better to buy and hold coins if you feel the price is going to go up.

Alright so lets have a look at some miners if you received today how much you would lose.

KnCMiner Jupiter

Difficulty 30% ave increase time, Watts 640, Price $4995, speed 400GH/s

At current prices even if you received the item today you would lose $499 after 200 days mining, then by 212 days you would be spending more on electricty by 3.2 dollars for that fortnight. This is with a projected str of 44197 million.

The only miner that will make a profit at current prices is the HashFast Sierra Batch 2 if you received it today, you would make over 6k profit, however it will only arrive in 2 months (ETA)

Difficulty 30% ave increase each time, Watts 780, Price $7080, speed 1200GH/s --> Item will only be shipped next year apparently (Jan/Feb)

Start date 15th Jan... At 176 days you have a loss of $35 and after that you need to turn the machines off at current prices.

Heaven forbid the price of bitcoins has to go down to $200 again it would be a financial disaster for a lot of people investing in this equipment.
