So I'm a recovering cancer patient seeking a job in web design. I'm trying to make some money with bitcoin but I made a HUGE mistake...
On BTCJam, the P2P BTC loaning site, I lent out all of my savings about 0.5 BTC. (I don't have alot of money to spare) but that's now worth 500$, but I'm only getting 350...because the price is linked to USD. Sad thing is that I can't cash out until the tenth  of December maybe...by then BTC might be worth 2000$...

Do you think BTC will correct after it hits 1000$? Or will it take off and I'm just screwed out of my funds I was too careless with?

I had a dream about bitcoin last night, where over the week it would get around 800-900 then correct and everyone would panic sell causing it to hit 400-500 over a few days then around the tenth it would start it's way up to 1000+ and more due to lots of major corporations buying into it.

But what do I know, it was just a dream. Haha

Bought at a good 700$ and it's now 470 and correcting. Agh Whyyyyy.

The committee will hear that virtual currencies are a "legitimate financial service" with the same benefits and risks as other online payment systems.

The Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee wants to explore the "promises and risks" of Bitcoin for "government and society at large".

The currency has trebled in value since October.

The US Senate hearing was prompted by the closure of the Silk Road website in October. The site, which sold drugs and other illegal goods, was shut down by the FBI.

Users of the site were required to pay for their transactions using Bitcoins.
