2  Economy / Digital goods / For Sale: Starbucks codes, 17.97, 15.00, and 5.00 on: December 26, 2013, 01:19:41 AM
Raising crypto for charity, selling these cards.  Check my trust, have a few deals done already.  Also, check the thread in my signature, any coins received in a deal for these cards, goes to the charity.

I have 17.97 on a starbucks gift card, that I can transfer to you via the starbucks app.  This is currently on my starbucks rewards account, but these can be transferred, if you have the app on your phone.  Its free, and really convienent.

Also have a 15.00 card, and a 5.00 card that I received for buying gifts at Starbucks this year.

Looking for an offer, btc, ltc, or any other crypto, make an offer for one or all 3.

The Goal

The goal of this is two-fold.

Our first goal is to raise funds for good causes, that do not keep a large percentage of donations for overhead fees, employees, etc.  I am looking for charities that are more focused on helping, rather than profits.  Looking for true non-profits.  The charities that actually aim to make a difference.

Secondly, this is a way to increase the positive publicity of all cryptocurrencies together. With our donations, I will also be sending the target charity a letter, professionally designed and written, explaining a little bit about what cryptocurrencies are, and explaining how they can implement them as a tool in their charity.  I will also be making them aware that the people in this community are overwhelmingly good, and by doing this, spreading the cryptocurrency knowledge and visibility, to help establish it as even more legitimate, and gaining the attention of people who may have not known about it, or know very little.

Spreading knowledge about cryptocurrency is only a good thing, and helping good causes is a great way to do so.

The Plan

I will choose one charity a month to raise funds for.  I ask the community to feel free to help choose, and provide suggestions.  During that month, I will raise crypto funds for that charity, by seeking giveaways in this forum, using spare income I have personally from my full time job, and finding odd jobs around my town to do on the side. I will also request donations from members here.  All donators will be entered into a raffle at the end of the month.  I have a lot of things at my house that I need to get rid of, that have value.  I could sell them, but I want to give people an even larger incentive to give.

For each 0.25 in Fiat that your contribution in crypto is cashed out for, you will get 1 ticket in the raffle.  The drawing will be done online, live, and a video recorded in case you are not able to watch it live.  The links will be posted.  It will be done using a raffle software, all automated.

At the end of the month, I will convert all crypto raised to Fiat, through exchanges, and through selling them to trusted forum members.  Once that is completed, the funds will be sent to the charity for that month, along with a letter explaining that the funds were raised by the bitcoin/alt coin community here at bitcointalk.org, and will have a breakdown of how they were raised.  I will also explain to them the details of cryptos, and how they may benefit from using them as well.

The Proof

Every step of the way, this project will be transparent to everyone.  I will have all the donation addresses posted in this thread for accounting purposes.  Never will any funds be misappropriated.  In addition, I will post picture and transaction proof of all the crypto to fiat conversions, and video proof of the check/cashier check/transfer of the fiat to the monthly charity recipient.  The raffle will be done live as well, and recorded and posted.  I will post any responses from the receiving charity, with picture and photo evidence of such as well.

Summary

Raising money for good charities is a great way for the community to bond, and for us to show that cryptocurrencies are here to stay, and can be used for good.  I believe that by doing this together, we can gain the positive media attention we deserve, and help out causes along the way.  I am donating my time, my spare funds, and my raffle items to start this venture.  I understand that I may not have the trust that some people here have.  I can say that I will stay transparent the whole way, will not abuse funds at all, and hope that some of you will decide to help get this kicked off. I will be accepting any type of coin, and will convert to fiat at the end of the month.  So even if you do not have the funds to invest yourself, anyone can apply for the various giveaways, and then use a part of those coins to donate.  You might even win some cool stuff along the way.

I have a 5th Gen iPod Touch (300.00 Value, used like 2 times).  This will be the raffle item up to win, in the first month that we reach a goal of 2,500.00 for a charity.  I expect this to start slow, but who knows.  If you donate in the month we hit that milestone, you could win it.

8  Economy / Scam Accusations / RESOLVED: BitsPoker.com on: December 24, 2013, 08:45:02 PM

I emailed as requested on their site.  No response.

I sent a PM to a user here who is involved with the site, an admin even....no response.

I PM'd owner on grindabit.com, he logs in, stays awhile, and logs out....no response.

Tried to contact them in chat on their site, they ignore.
