2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Help - Wires supplying power to GPUs keep melting on: December 17, 2013, 09:37:06 PM
When I first hooked up my system, I connected two GPUs onto one power cord coming from power supply.  After a little while, it melted and thought "oh shit, I shouldn't put two GPUs onto one wire."  So I separated them thinking that was the problem.  I just noticed that the wires to one of the GPUs is melted again.  I am surprised at that.  Does anyone know why this keeps happening?

I am using Corsair RM 750 power supply to power MB and 2 GPUs.  When watching killawatt, I noticed that power was steady in the upper 600s like 670-690.  I am using 2 sapphire 7950s.  What am I doing wrong?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Computer freezing after starting cgminer on: December 16, 2013, 10:04:07 PM
I just created two scrypt mining rigs using Sapphire 7950s.  I am using CGMiner 3.5 with CGWatcher.  One is working perfectly fine but the other one freezes just a few minutes into mining.  Both are pretty much the same configuration so I can't figure out what is the problem.  Here is my configuration:

"intensity" : "19,19",
"vectors" : "1,1",
"worksize" : "256,256",
"lookup-gap" : "2,2",
"thread-concurrency" : "24000,24000",
"shaders" : "1792,1792",

"gpu-engine" : "1130,1130",
"gpu-fan" : "40-100,40-100",
"gpu-memclock" : "1450,1450",
"gpu-powertune" : "20,20",
"temp-cutoff" : "99,99",
"temp-overheat" : "95,95",
"temp-target" : "80,80",

"auto-fan" : true,
"auto-gpu" : true,
"expiry" : "120",
"failover-only" : true,
"gpu-threads" : "1",

"log" : "5",
"queue" : "1",
"scan-time" : "60",
"temp-hysteresis" : "3",

"scrypt" : true,

Can someone help?
4  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electrum Offline Wallet not signing transaction on: December 16, 2013, 09:38:27 PM
I am using electrum as an offline wallet.  I created an unsigned transaction to bring to my offline laptop.  I loaded the transaction to Electrum and pressed sign.  I entered my password.  And usually at this point, I think, the transaction is signed and ready for broadcast.  Instead, it is still unsigned and I do not have an option to broadcast after I loaded the transaction to my online computer.

Any ideas what could be the problem?
5  Other / Beginners & Help / What are some reputable multi mining pools? on: December 13, 2013, 01:40:51 PM
I am just getting into mining.  I am currently in HashCows but I would like to devote my mining into a few coins (DGC, MEC, WDC, etc) and not exchange them into BTC.  I understand that HashCows allows one to keep certain designated coins.  But I would like to only mine the coins that I want.  Can people give me some recommendations to such mining pools?  Thanks.
